I still love that the Time Turner card used the phrase Timey-Wimey. too bad they probably can't get David Tennant and give him a voice.
though Tennant does have a daughter so maybe, just maybe, some day.

I'd prefer Matt Smith, but any Doctor would be awesome. :)

So, Michelle Creber's cover of Beat It has gotten me thinking. What songs would y'all love to hear the various MLP singers to sing?

Matt Smith is a good Doctor, but David Tennant's voice is more recognizable.
plus he'd be easier to get cause he's, you know... not the current Doctor. and he has a daughter, so that could be motivation.

It would be cool if they got any of the former Doctors (or Matt Smith) to voice a character really. If I could choose I would personally want them to get Tom Baker (The Fourth Doctor, who for fans of older Who stuff is the most recognizable though Tennant is likely second most) just for the fact that it would throw off everyone who would expect a either Tennant or Smith.

David Tenant is the one who Doctor Whooves looks like, though.

That was very fun to watch. It was a really good fight.

Yeah he does but that's what would make it more unexpected if they used someone else though. And really using any of the actual Doctors to voice him would be awesome anyway even if their Doctor doesn't look like Whooves.

I just really hope they do a crossover with Doctor Who in the comics that would be amazing. Heck if they do they can show us all of Whooves past regenerations as well.

because it sucks.
What possible hopes can you have when the title is "Double Rainboom"?
You're doomed from the beginning man.

Eh. I knew right from the start that Double Rainboom would be a disappointment. I mean, when you advertise your first major contribution to the fandom (which is doubling as your senior thesis at college) as "The first fan-made episode of Friendship is Magic; with 100% show-accurate animation!" there is just no way to actually live up to your own hype. People (like me) are going to be overly critical right from the get-go because you're basically telling them to expect show-quality stuff. And when that inevitably failed to be delivered, the guy has no right to blame anyone but himself.

And that's as far into that as I'm going to go.

Reeeeeaaaally diggin' that Choreography is Magic stuff, though. I hope they plan to make some more stuff along those lines in the future.

The animation was good. It's pretty much comparable to the real show.

I think they put too much importance on the animation. I mean yeah it was great, but what really brings most of us to the show I think is the writing, the character work, the comedy. It's the writing where Double Rainboom really failed in my eyes.

The writing is pretty darn good for what it was. There's no way to emulate the show's writing style. If it was MLP wouldn't be such a unique gem of television. I think the almost-as-good-as-the-real-show animation just had people's standards for the writing set equally high and that lead them to be disappointed.

I'd love him to do a villain song, and I've known it for the last couple seasons. He's also apparently (or at least was considering) appearing at a pony convention.

Oh man, that'd be sweet. And I mean, he did at least two songs for Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, so it's not like he doesn't have experience working on cartoons.

So then, I finally managed to get my hands on the Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash micro-series. As a bibliophile, I absolutely loved Twilight Sparkle's story.

Rainbow Dash's though... eh... I actually found it pretty hard to get through. I mean, the gremlin thingies were kinda neat, but nothing made any sense to me. If the problem was affecting the whole town, why was it all up to Rainbow Dash to fix? And speaking of Rainbow Dash, she seemed WAY out of character to me. She is NOT that full of herself in the show.

Also, most random Blade Runner reference ever.

Also the prerequisite David Bowie reference at the end with Applejack's cart.

The new arc of the regular series looks extremely promising. The lingering effects of the evil that created Nightmare Moon.

I found a series of fan animations on youtube called "Fluffle Puff". It is absurdist humor featuring a very fluffy pony who lives under Twilight's bed with Queen Chrysalis as it's main character. They are actually pretty funny.

Equestria Girls Synopsis given from book version. Its from the same person that wrote the Crystal Heart Book. This IMO basically confirms that the Crystal Heart Book is an early draft of the Season 4 opener, and from the first comment it looks like we may know what Sunset Shimmer is going to be doing. (remember EQD basically works with Hasbro, Seth and the other higher ups know more about the show then most people)

Personally I'm fine with this it looks like it could be interesting and doesn't see to me to be that different (outside of setting obviously) story wise from the show

I have it set as moderate, not strict. You should be able to choose to view it though, if you're signed in.

And before anyone gets any wrong ideas, I don't have a mature setting for anything bad. It's just a rather dark chapter and I practice better safe than sorry.

Well, you're just going to have to make one then I guess. I had to make mine so I could read his fics. If it wasn't for that, I probably wouldn't have one right now.

I... wait. I put the majority of my chapters on moderate. Do I need to undue that for the entire story? I don't want to cause anyone any trouble.

:(

I'd say not. While you may not need to restrict everything, your stories do have those times when they are restricted for good reason. If someone wanted to read everything you have, they would need an account anyway. They would just need it for less chapters.
