I may have an explanation as to where he got the idea from and why he thinks it's from you.

In the description of the pic, he said it was about 4 months ago you suggested/requested this pic. Looking back, you posted Belle's Secret Revealed about 4 months ago.
Maybe it wasn't that you requested it, but he read that and thought (Warning: Major spoiler for his fic if you haven't read it yet) if Sweetie Belle was a vampire, how cool would it be for Scootaloo to be a werewolf?

So you were the inspiration for it, and over the 4 months he started to think for some reason that you requested it. That could very well happen to me if I waited that long to draw something.

Oh, and the picture is awesome.

Very nice.

But I always imagined Luna as a werewolf. The whole moon aspect of her character and all

Maybe she is a reverse werewolf. She shows up saying "What'd I miss" because the was out eating ponies.

Luna's transformation looks painful. I feel bad for her.

Also, the reason Sweetie Belle is a vampire and Scootaloo is a werewolf is because they were each dressed up as those for Nightmare Night. ;)

Also also, behold! The dragon Loki from my fan fic The Crusaders!

For some reason it reminds me of that character from Legend of Zelkda: twilight princess. Maybe it's just the helmet.
edit: Is it true that there was a controversy in the lighter Spike from last episode? hey can show that twilight can turn any living being into an orange, clones being murdered by a spell, timber wolves being mutilated, but heavens forbid if Spike breathes fiore, which is something he had done before SEVERAL times and some other dragons also breathed fire before, no?

I've not heard of this controversy, but I imagine it has to do with how AJ sparked him into shooting flames as if he were a cigarette lighter. I think it's a load a' hooey either way.

In a board, some people said that Sibsy said that the lighter joke from the last episode was controverse because they didn't want kids trying to imitate the stunt.
Yeah, only kids with horrible parents who don't teach their kids about the difference between reality and fiction would do something stupid liek that. I played mortal kombat since I was 7~9 and NEVER tried to repeat the stuff I saw in the games (much less what i saw in the cartoons), because I knew they weren't real.

It wouldn't be an issue if they just made it harder to acquire baby dragons. There isn't even a background check or anything.

And I think that's enough satire from me. Here's an awesome song about my favorite MLP villain.

Discord will have his own episode later, Queen Chrysalis (don't know how to spell her name and I feel lazy to look it up) appeared in the comic, so King Sombra should get some love too.

Also, I saw the episode and all I'll say is: the episode is bad. REALLY bad. It contradicted so many stuff from previous episodes.
Well, MW was the writter and she went back where she started, in my opinion.

I don't see the issue, I thought the ep was perfectly fine. Also, they have the right to retcon whatever they like, they are the writers after all.

The episode made Spike a bit to incompetent with doing stuff IMO, and on top of that with the exception of a few parts it was really boring. This is the first episode of the season that I can say was pretty bad not unwatchable or anything just really boring. However we did get some good things out of this episode IMO Fluttershy walking Winona which likely gives us hints into what she does for a living, and Rainbow Dash writing a novel which I know fanfics are going to do things with. I also thought that Applejack was good in this episode and I'm starting to like her more and more she might even tie for first place favorite with Twilight if this keeps up. I also liked Dash's plan with building a huge rock wall and then her crashing though it, I thought it was funny.

But over all other then a few bits here and there this episode was overall boring as heck really. 5/10 for me weakest of the season by far.

Edit: I think if the middle of the episode had been a bit more interesting (I think that the beginning and end being so exciting contributed heavily to this really) and Spike hadn't been incompetent at so many things this would have been a much better episode.

The 'I owe you a life debt, but I really suck at doing stuff for you/too possessive over you' is a famous trope and isn't that uncommon. It wouldn't be much of a ep if Spike was really good at doing stuff for AppleJack, but he did show a amazing level of skill at counting grass and building the rock tower.

Yeah but they didn't have to play the trope so straight, he is an assistant to Twilight really he should be at least ok at cleaning things and stuff like that. He picks up in the library enough. They could have made him annoying in other ways and had basically the same episode.

Retcons are usually dangerous and rarly add anything good. Just because the writters can, it doesn't mean they should.
Also, MW could have at least TRIED doing something new with the whle "you saved me, so I shall be your slave" kind of thing. How about Spike actally doing something GOOD and improving the far since he was the aprentice of the overly organized Twilight (he was bound to have at least learnt a thing or two from her). Then it would be Twilight's turn to be a little jealous that Spike was doing so much stuff for AJ and end up spending few time with her.

Its not that bad just a bit boring and not as good as the rest of the season so far. Its an average episode while the rest of the season has been above average to well above average, well IMO at least, others obviously disagree.

I watched it and I enjoyed it. Yea, the premise is done a lot, but I don't care.

I will agree that it wasn't the best episode of the season, but for way different reasons than everyone here seems to have. And as far as my reasons go, they don't take away from the enjoyably for me at all. Maybe I'm just too lax when it comes to watching these or something, but I almost never see the reasons why people don't like specific episodes. I watch because I find them fun, and I don't generally judge the episode.

Spike not knowing how to cook (in OWEW he knew how to and he could be seen cooking in other episodes).
Spike suddenly knowing about dragon code is about and we can't say it was something made up by him sicne twilight also knows about this.

Spike knew how to cook yes but cooking is not baking they are similar but just because you can do one doesn't mean you can do the other, at least for most amateur cooks anyway. Also considering that Spike is a little kid that makes it even more likely that while hes good a cooking regular food he just happens to be bad at baking things.

Spike likely did just make up the Dragon Code and just told Twilight about it and how important it is to him hence why she knew about it. Also alternatively if Spike didn't make up the code as a concept he made up what it meant and what the code itself actually was and he in fact admit he made up what was in the code since he calls it "my Dragon Code" a couple of time meaning he made the code up himself so its not really a retcon of anything.

I liked the timberwolves and I don't think that 3d was out of place. But that sums to animation taste. As for Spike, I would like some consistency. Sometimes he's mature, knows how to do a low of stuff and is wise. In other episodes he's an idiot.
Guess which kind of Spike I like to see portrayed more.

Yeah, it wasn't a retcon. Just really lazy writing. The absolute incompetence at general labor, however, is a major alteration to his character, as we have never seen any reason to believe he is anything but "#1 Assistant" material. He is slightly clumsy at times, but the only times he really "messes things up" in terms of clean-up is when Twilight is rushing around, worrying about things, and pushes him off of something.

This is the first episode since Baby Cakes that I actually found irritating to watch at points. Same problems that angel brought up, mostly. The overplaying of the "You saved my life!" trope was poorly done to say the least, the fact this "Noble Dragon Code" is just something Spike made up was, as I said, very lazy writing, and the majority of the jokes in the episode just fell completely flat. The only thing I really laughed at was Pinkie's mustache gag.

Honestly, this is a shoe-in for my personal vote for the weakest episode of the series, in terms of entertainment value. It was just... bad.

Oh. And the ending was ridiculously anti-climactic, but I guess no more so than the battle in Boast Busters. Still, I was expecting something cooler (and possibly involving fire). I liked the Timberwolf's dramatics, though.

even more convincing that he made it up is the fact that when he first mentioned it, he called it he "the Spike the dragon code". this means it only applies to him, not other dragons.

also, Rainbow Dash is best Timber Wolf. and I also liked the part about RD writing a novel.

I thought it was an alright episode. not the best, but it wasn't horrible in my opinion. But then again, it takes a lot to make me think anything is anything more or less than "meh". I have a very large "meh" zone.

For a fanfic writer who should keep a open mind even when canon is expanded in ways that are not always favorable, that seems way over the top and closed minded to take the viewpoint of one overemotional fourm member. It's not that bad really. It's perfectly acceptable for what it is, a children's cartoon.

I think that the main reason why I hate tis episode to the core is because I'm a big fan of Spike's. Of course, there are many other mistakes on this episode, but it's Spike's horrible characterization that ruins it for me.
It's kinda funny how Spike's best moments are when the episode isn't about him.

Ok you have a bit of a point there its likely she was just assuming. Though for some odd reason it amuses me to no end how Rainbow Dash has kept that characterization of liking reading after Read It and Weep and its been expanded here a bit. It must be because that seems like something they would have just dumped after one episode.
Penwrite wrote:Well now I'm definitely not watching it. This will be the first episode I've ever not watched since The Ticket Master.
Really don't do this. I did this for the longest time for the Simpsons episode The Principal and the Pauper because of how horrible everyone said it was and how it ruined the show and stuff but when I finally watched it, it really wasn't any where near as bad as people made it out to be. It has obvious problems sure but it wasn't the worst episode of the show up to that point by a long shot.

She wasn't abandoning him at all; she just basically gave him a vacation, its not the same thing. His fear was being told to leave and never come back not being told to go do what you want for a while.
