Lord of the Rings, starring Scootaloo as "Dodo Baggins"!!!
"nopony simply trots into maredore (spelling?)"
This made me laugh more than it should have, which is a good thing.

Indeed! This was a perfect parody!

I showed that to a friend of mione and he said it lacked the best part: "the ghost army" bit. But I guess doing that would be really complicated.

What was really amazing is that, even though a clear parody, it still managed to send chills up my spine and bring tears to my eyes during the "stories that mean something" part and the "I can carry you!" part. That was some quality voice work there.

Also, favorite part was the FlutterEnt scene. XD

Some people were saying that it should have been Sombra and not Spike to play the role of Sauron, but this was made long before cristal empire, no? Also, I agree that it was a really well done fanmade video.

Its official!

According to the North Koreans, they have found evidence that unicorns existed!

It was found in a cave near Yongmyong Temple in Pyongyang.

I can't comment on this. I'm known to go on winding rants on why North Korea is terrible.

To prevent that from happening, everyone, have this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMPNH2Vw ... plpp_video

Back to the Lord of the Rings video, I lost it at "it won't increase your swag" and calling Scoot "Dodo Baggins"!

Maybe the animator will do more to fill it some of the story. I especially want to see more Pinkamina!

I can see why. They took two things that you loved and showed the same love while combining them. This went far beyond being a parody.

And, yes! I loved her hat!

At first I thought that the age spell thing being a high level magic was a stupid thing until I read about it in the episode follow-up in Equestria daily. I think they discovered the secret of Celestia and Luna's immortality.

If that is so, then there would probably be more immortal ponies. Maybe the effects of that spell are temporary and the purpose of using them in the duel was to see if one of the combatants could break the other's spell.

I think it is something else that makes Celestia and Luna immortal. Just my thoughts on the subject.

I think you may be right. Trixie needed the Alicorn Amulet in order to peform such spell, but Twilight hinted other unicorns might be able to do so as well. Maybe Celestia and Luna's spell is in a much bigger level or they are just immortal...

Speaking of zecora, I'm thinking of writting a fanfic and Zecora ALWAYS speak in rymes, right? I don't remember well if she spoke without them before.

she's never not spoken in rhyme on the show, as far as I can recall.

I think it's some sort of magical rule with her.

once, the first part of one of her rhymes asked applebloom what was wrong.

the second part involved what was wrong.
she made a rhyme before the information to do so was available to her.

True. In the parasprite episode, Twilight busted into her house and interrupted her meditations. Her only response was "Have you gone mad?!" with no rhyming.

we have no way of knowing she didn't say something that rhymed with "mad" before her meditation.

also, I forgot she was even in that episode

Did you guys read the comic?
I just read it and I think the artwork is bad to the point of being scary sometimes.
But I kinda liked the story.

Also, is it now canon that Spike can transfer any kind of matter (not just paper based object like tickets or letters) with his power?
edit: corrupted Twilight and Spike

I rather like the artwork, from what I've seen of it. Very expressive, while still reminiscent of the show. Also, at least the ponies aren't afflicted with Youngblood's Disease.

I don't think the style of the source material would allow for that.
I think you'd really notice if those big eyes were missing
or does this count, too?

Magic Duel was going to be in Season 2 The fact that some of the episodes in Season 3 were hold overs doesn't really surprise me though this kind of stuff happens all the time in TV shows especially Cartoons.

I recommend the comic to everyone here. It's really cute, the art is nice, and it's definitely written with adult fans in mind.

I really enjoyed the return of the changeling queen.
I was discussing this with other guy, and it seems that ANYONE can use Spike as portal to transfer stuff. remember that he got sick just by coughing scrolls and he had a hard time with that globe. Imagine how easy it would be to kill him just transfering something big or sharp.

Weird as in one eye rotates the sky and one rotates the earth. With Derpy, that's like... constant headrolling of both time and space.
