I believe I've shared my thoughts on romantic relationships in the main cast before, but I'll say it again for the sake of discussion.

Personally, I think it's a bad idea. For background and secondary characters, sure. I would've loved to see Big Mac and Cheerilee actually getting together and becoming another little detail to look forward to in the background. But for the main cast, I feel that it would either detract from the time spent on the main characters we already have, or it would just become a superfluous thing that's never mentioned again in order to avoid the first option.

I would not, however, object to seeing some canon pair-ups at the very end of the series (a "10 years later..." kind of thing) when that time eventually comes.

Just thought I'd share with everyone that a few days ago my older sister marathon'd over half of S1 of FiM, and then convinced my younger sister to watch the show as well. I don't know if she's followed up since, but we spent the next couple hours watching the first few episodes together.

It was pretty bossin'.

Also, I got accepted into a group putting together an audiobook-type reading of the story Shipping and Handling! Just did my first recording the other night with another one of our main characters for an advertisement to drum up some excitement for the project and recruit some more people for remaining voices and sound technicians and other such things.

Also, is anyone here particularly skilled or talented at writing song lyrics? I'm writing some songs for my MLP/Avengers fic and I want them to be as good as possible.

You mean like new lyrics to a song that already exists? Or are you writing your own song from scratch?

Eh, sorta both, I guess. I'm just writing the lyrics and will put them where appropriate in the story. For most I'll be basing them off the lyrics or rhythm of an already existing song, but not all.

It sounds like you would know what lyrics to put in best, seeing that you are also writing the story.

Unless you're asking for help with rhyming or something. If that's the case, I could try to help out. I often find creative ways to say things so I may be able to help there.

Yeah, I'm mostly thinking about for when I'm going through revisions on the songs. You know, get a second person's opinion and stuff.

The large amount of the fandom wouldn't be happy with it at all. If it was going to happen, it needed to happen ages ago. Plus who on earth would be? It couldn't be a new pony without enough character building to make it fit and there's really no background pony who spends as much of the time in the air as RD does unless it was one of the WonderBolts.

They barely got away with giving Twlight a brother and even then people were giving side eye to that. Only way it could work is a one shot, because other wise, the Mane 6 would have to become the Mane 6 + 1

Besides this is still a little girls show and romantic stuff is always kind of touchy.

There's only one stallion in the show who's strong enough, big enough, and well-known enough by the fandom to make it with Rainbow Dash. He is a pegasus of few words, letting his actions speak for him!

Just a thought on the Rainbow Dash getting a boyfriend thing.

What if it's more like the other five think she has a boyfriend because she hasn't been with them a whole lot lately. They see her hanging with a colt around town and decide to see what's going on.
Things happen, a few funny moments, and in the end Rainbow Dash tells them that the colt was actually a cousin who came to visit for a while or something.

You know, that wouldn't be too bad an episode. They could throw a lesson in about not jumping to conclusions or something. Have they done a "don't jump to conclusions" lesson yet? I know they did the whole "don't judge a book by its cover" thing with Zecora, but that's not quite the same.

That I could see being done. An actual relationship, on the other hand, would kind of be a shark jump.

It's been done before a lot (Like most kids TV 'morals') but it could work. At the end of the day it would just the shippers someone else to pair her with.

It's Rainbow Dash. This is true for any time they add a character.

My favorite out of those was Pinkie as Freddie. It seems to fit too well in my opinion.

I'd think that RD would be Jason. Since, you know. Athletic type pony + hockey mask. and Dracula doesn't quite fit in. A classic horror character with all these new age horror stars.
