I think I should mention Jay Naylor's 'original life' is really nice. Also, finally started reading 'Bittersweet candy bowl', and it was as good as I heard.

I can't believe Girl Genius and Gunnerkrigg Court haven't been mentioned yet! D: They're easily among the best webcomics I read (apart from Housepets, of course ^_^;; )! They both update M-W-F, too! :)

Other webcomics I like that haven't been mentioned are:

Dissonance
The author/artist plans to bring philosophy into the comic as it develops. Storyline-driven, but it still manages to squeeze something funny into most of the strips. Updates M-F

Faulty Logic
An older--but still occasionally updated--comic by the same author. This strip is joke-driven rather than story-driven. Needless to say, it's much less serious . Oh, and it's furry. :3 Updates whenever.

Little Tales
A furry webcomic by Genesis Whitmore. It's usually a slice-of-life comic, but the artist is using her wednesday updates to retell G.K. Chesterton's The Man Who Was Thursday in webcomic form (Or, at least, she was. The wednesday updates seem to have stopped for now. :/ ). Updates M-W?-F

Filibuster Cartoons
A political webcomic. I know that's not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it, so I figured I'd go ahead and give it a plug. ;) Its artist is Canadian so, naturally, Canadian politics are featured, but he also covers U.S. and World politics. Updates once a week (Monday? Tuesday? Not sure. :/ )

The Unfeasible Adventures of Beaver and Steve!
This one's been on hiatus for ages but it's still really good! One of the first (if not the first) webcomics I read. The archives are definitely worth a look. :)

Oh! And sChIzO!
This comic's brand-new, but I already love it! =D It's furry and updates Tuesday and Friday (I think <_< ). The official site is a little behind in strips because the author can only upload one strip to the site each day, and he'd already done several strips by the time he got the site set-up. You can see all the most recent, not-yet-uploaded strips at his DeviantArt page. Also keep in mind that this is (as far as I know) his first webcomic, so while you're checking out his DA page be sure to encourage him! Give him compliments! Whisper sweet nothings in his ear!

EDIT: Forgot Dracula. Hehe. ^_^;;

Well, Housepets! is my favorite web-comic of course. It's clean, easy to follow, and the artwork and characters are great.

Marvel is my favorite comic series because MARVEL RULES!!!

I don't really read books much, but when I was in grade school I used to love R.L. Stine mystery books, and there was also a book series on animals I used to read, but it's been so long I've forgotten what they were called. I REALLY like the "Series of Unfortunate Events" books. Those are probably my favorite books.

Favorite Graphic Novel: Neil Gaiman's SANDMAN. About a year ago I started collecting the "Absolute Sandman" series because a friend told me that not reading it made me a bad person.
I haven't read the entire thing yet because each volume costs around $100, but what I've read so far is very good. I love the references to other works Fiddler's Green (lol, surprise!), Paradise Lost (Some of the best scenes), Batman, Midsummer Night's Dream(love Puck), etc. and especially the mythology of the entire thing. Took him years to write and it shows!

Favorite Comic Strips aside from this one?
xkcd
Penny Arcade (Occasionally)
PBF(When it updated; which it doesn't do anymore)

I always considered Housepets and Sandra and Woo the two best comics today and rival compcs from my point of view. So it hurts when i say:

Novil pulled off a very nice moment of romantic awesome. *shakes fist*

According to their site he lives in the same city I went to school. Huh, it's a small internet, after all.

I like 100 Bullets. An MIB-esque person gives victims of various sorts of crimes 100 untraceable bullets to take vengeance. Cool concept that doesn't get old due to the episodic format, but (you might have guessed it) a bit violent. Don't try this at home, kids, that's a big no-no. Perforate your opponent with kind words, not with lead.

It is really good (high up there on my favorites) the only problem I have with it is that the plot moves slower then molasses in the dead of winter.

Not sure what flaws Cloud has. He's more realistic in a fictional world, though and i sense someday this will hurt him eventually, but other than that, he just seems simple which i enjoy ;).

Now Dr. McNinja is another comic i think i mentioned before i enjoy as well.

He just seems like wish fulfillment on the author's part. And then suddenly he takes more of the action away from Sandra and Woo and suddenly it becomes Sandra and Cloud with their Pet and Random Friend.

I have to agree Cloud does take away a lot of screen time from Sandra and Woo (though I think the current arc kind of fixed that IMO)

I liked the X-men back in the day, and this is one of the reasons my fursona is a wolverine, but my favorite hero is Thor. I love how everyone thought he was just a nut. As far as webcomics go, I usually only read Housepets :| idunno.

I adored Ozy and Millie. It soapboxed a little too much, but a lot of the time it really managed to do the whole Calvin and Hobbes feel very well.

So how far would you classify graphic novel into?

Also
>in here
>sees no mentions yet of Pearls before Swine.

I'd be listing far too much if I got every Webcomic and/or Comic noted but I'll say my top five as with the intro thread: Lackadaisy, Pearls before Swine, Housepets!, Nedroid, and XKCD without a doubt. I check all of them each day. If I had to choose one I favor in particular it'd be rather... difficult.

I kinda like Pearls Before Swine. It's one of the better comics in newspapers these days.

I no longer like Sandra and Woo, though.

Has anyone here heard of Furina High, pretty good fur comic, with a good deal of comedy and a little drama, but it is fun. Also a fan of Faux Pas, Randy is too awesome.

As for comic/graphic novels, I tend to stay close to Manga the best I can, FullMetal Alchemist, Pokemon, and Love Hina. Teehee

The whole focus-shift is a big part of it, but the recent strips were kind of the last straw.

Have you ever tried the archive for it on gocomics? You should for sure give that a go since there's so much you'll miss from the newspapers.

As for graphic novels since Manga's allowed: Death Note, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, and Natsume's Book of Friends.

I read Slightly Damned, xkcd, Bittersweet Candy Bowl, and I'm going to read Lackadaisy, Sandra and Woo, Penny Arcade, and maybe Precocious as soon as I get some free time and find a wi-fi hotspot for an extensive period of time. Trying to read webcomics on dial-up is torture. :P

I've also read a few graphic novels (some of them were Naruto), but I can't remember any of the titles.
Let me tell you about Homestuck.
