Heh heh, but even then, I don't think card games are that popular anymore. Deck destruction decks are interesting. But to do that in 4 to 5 turns, that must be one fierce combo.

My decks are usually beatdown decks. But I can only end my opponent in 5 turns if I am really lucky.

I've never heard of that, what is it?
It is a program that let you play Yugioh!

Here is the link! You only need to download YVD 9.1 to play, just remember to update the set first. A user manual is included, it is in its folder after you installed it!

I plan to make a thread for this someday, and maybe hold a local tournament or something.

Sorry, Sleet! Magic happened to be a card game I don't play! I can play Pokemon cards though, even though I am probably incredibly rusty by now. And I also play poker, Texas Hold'Em to be exact.

Oh! That reminds me, I can post my Pokémon decks. None of us remember the rules on "___'s [Pokémon]" evolving, so things might be wrong with that respect.

...Wow, looking through these decks, I've got bling.

Energy:
30x Fire Energy

Fire Pokémon:
1x Vulpix (Mysterious Treasures; holographic)
2x Blaine's Vulpix (Gym Challenge, one is first edition)
1x Ninetales (Base Set; holographic)
3x Growlithe (Base Set)
1x Arcanine (Base Set)
1x Arcanine (Promo #6)
3x Blaine's Magmar (Gym Heroes)
1x Magmortar (Mysterious Treasures; holographic)
2x Rocket's Moltres (Gym Heroes; both holographic, one first edition)
1x Blaine's Moltres (Gym Heroes; holographic)

Colorless Pokémon:
2x Clefairy (Base Set, both holographic)
1x Clefable (Jungle)
2x Doduo (Base Set)
1x Dodrio (Mysterious Treasures)
1x Kangaskhan (Base Set; holographic)

Trainers:
2x Potion (Base Set)
2x Energy Search (Fossil)
1x Super Energy Retrieval (Neo Genesis; first edition)
1x Blaine (Gym Challenge)
1x Ferver (Gym Challenge; first edition)

It's mostly based around burning the cuss out of everything, particularly with Blaine's Magmar, who can do a ton of damage considering how this deck uses so much fire energy relative to most decks.

Other deck:

Energy:
17x Electric Energy
8x Grass Energy
4x Water Energy
1x Rainbow Energy (holographic)

Electric Pokémon:
3x Pikachu (Jungle)
1x Raichu (Fossil; holographic)
1x Dark Raichu (Team Rocket; holographic first edition)
3x Voltorb (Team Rocket; one is first edition)
2x Electrode (Jungle; one is holographic)
3x Zapdos (Fossil; one is holographic)
1x Shinx (Diamond & Pearl)

Grass Pokémon:
1x Ekans (Team Rocket)
1x Dark Arbok (Team Rocket)
2x Brock's Zubat (Gym Heroes)
1x Brock's Golbat (Gym Heroes)
3x Erika's Paras (Gym Challenge)

Water Pokémon:
1x Articuno (Promo #22)

Trainers:
2x Potion (Base Set)
1x Energy Retrieval (Base Set)
3x Energy Search (Fossil)

Stadiums:
1x Lake Boundary (Mysterious Treasures)

This one is about hitting benched Pokémon and trying to take down the whole team more or less at once. Apparently I kind of went overboard with the energy here too.

I loved playing Pokémon back when I was little, but nowadays it is so much less elegant than Magic is. I don't think I'd ever be able to play it seriously again, except for novelty purposes.

NO, REAL CARD GAMES HAVE PICTURES OF MAGICAL CREATURES ON THE CARDS.

I play poker and other assorted gambling card games casually with my friends sometimes, but none of us are particularly talented (though I have one friend who's getting there). Then sometimes we play mau, which is a ridiculous but awesome game.

It does. Usually 2-4 decks shuffled together. There are several ways to play mau. It's basically like Uno, only there is no talking allowed and the dealer has some rules which must be followed, or else you're given a card and told what you did or failed to do. The catch is the dealer does not tell anyone the rules, so they have to learn them. The other way involves the dealer switching every game, and each new dealer adds a new rule, so the game gets more and more complex. It's a lot of fun but it's not exactly an intense test of strategy.

That's it in a nutshell, anyway.

Like I said, I play poker too. Even though I mostly play Texas Hold'Em, I can still play other variations like Seven-card stud and Five-card draw. Other than that, I can also play Blackjack.

I can play well against inexperienced players who tend to rush or play aggressively, since I usually play it safe. But not so well against experienced players, since it is quite obvious that I play safe. /: I could change gears, but I never felt comfortable doing that.

I actually managed to wipe out a nine-men (including myself) table once. But that's because I got lucky, since both me and my last standing opponent lost our patient. >_> It was the 60th round or something...

I sometimes play UNO too, but only with my friends. Since they don't like poker and don't have any Pokemon cards or Yugioh cards.

And here is my real life Pokemon deck, with no real strategy at all!

Energy: (27)
25x Basic Electric Energy
2x Double Colorless Energy

Trainer: (14)
1x Professor Oak (Base)
2x Bill (Base)
3x Energy Removal (Base)
1x Super Energy Removal (Base)
1x Energy Retrieval (Base)
2x Heal Powder (Neo Destiny)
2x Old Rod (Neo Revelation)
2x Pokemon Breeder Fields (Neo Revelation)

Colorless Pokemon: (5)
1x Kangaskhan (Jungle; holographic)
3x Eevee (Jungle)
1x Snorlax (Base)

Electric Pokemon: (14)
1x Light Jolteon (Neo Destiny)
1x Zapdos (Base; holographic)
1x Pikachu (Base, 40HP Lv.12)
2x Pikachu (Base, 50HP Lv.14)
1x Raichu (Neo Revelation)
3x Magnemite (Base)
1x Magneton (Base; holographic)
3x Voltorb (Base)
1x Elctrode (Base)

I am not sure which series the medal logo represent, so I just assumed it is base too... >_>

I'd argue the point that talking about the anime of a card game is on topic, but I'd rather not.

For a while I played Magic: the Gathering and loved it. My favorite color was black, followed closely by red. Incidentally, my favorite tactic is milling the opponent. :3

Ooh! That gives me an idea for a Housepets! fanfic...

1. There are anime threads for discussing anime series, this is a thread for card games. Shows are not games, despite that one show in particular focuses on a card game.

2. Arguing with mods is never a good idea, so congrats on not taking the stupid road.

Anywho, you guys will not believe how many times I've started a game of Solitaire, and ended up not having any moves to pull! Grahh! Has that happened to anyone else, or am I just reeeaaally unlucky?

Aww, why don't you still play it? :(

I like white, followed by blue, so we're pretty much the opposite ends of the color pie. Milling is primarily blue, by the way.

Well we're referring to the card game. There's actually five schools of magic, but our favorites are enemy-aligned, as are our second-favorites.

(The fifth is green if anyone' curious.)

Well, I still enjoy the game, but it's just so hard and expensive to keep up with the expansions, ya know? Oh and yeah, I know milling is primarily blue, that's my third-favorite color. But, hehe, black's real big on destroying the hand! I just love it! =D

If you're willing to play over PMs, I'll gladly challenge you. :3

I actually have a blue/black deck focused on drawing and making opponents discard. Attack 'em from both sides, I say! If you like black and milling, you'd probably be happy to see this card from the newest set.

My colors go white > blue > red > green > black. Gameplay-wise, anyway. Philosophically it'd be more white > blue > green > red > black.
