Uh, why do we have 2 families moving away in the first place again?

No, I would be making another character which would be a strike, thereby controlling 2 strike characters at once (and thus needing the GM's permission).

I have yet to think of a plot though, not really feeling 100% these days.

And why are these two family moving away exactly? Or are you keeping it as a secret for now?

Err.. No the other one wouldn't be moving away but I am trying to think up of another reason to make it a strike character with anchors into the character they will be interacting with.

@Aqua:
For Claire, I could send it to you in PM if you really want to know.

=======Edit============
Here's character Number two.

Name: Levyn Meek ( formerly Levyn Lexus )
Species: Cardigan Welsh Corgi
Gender: Male
Age: 35 Pet / 10 Human
Neighborhood: Yorkshire Fields
Type: Arc Strike Character

Appearance:
Levyn’s has a bronze-white bicolor coat and a long pure white tail given to him by his breed. He wears a light green collar with a fake 1 dollar coin with his face as a tag, the reverse side having the normal details found in that side.

Personality:
Levyn acts and appears to be a normal dog save for his trauma about being left alone. The only time Levyn leaves his home is when Mrs. Meek goes to the park to socialize with her ladies club and even then he never goes so far that he would lose sight of her. The rest of the time he stays home with Mrs. Meek who works as a scriptwriter for the local theatre.

Backstory:
Half a year ago, during a business trip, Levyn and his owner Darryl Lexus were attacked by a group of brigands. During their struggle, Levyn was injured when he distracted their attackers allowing Darryl to escape, with the bandits chasing after him and leaving Levyn to die at roadside and soon enough his consciousness succumbed to his injuries, his body left lying under the dark moonless night.

When he awoke, he found himself recovering in the infirmary of a local pound in Yorkshire Fields. He stayed there for two weeks, recovering from his near fatal accident and awaiting Darryl to step through the doors at every passing moment, but he never did. Two days later, he was adopted by the Meeks, who warmly welcomed him into their home despite his new “quirks”.

SPECIAL:
S - 8
P - 7
E - 6
C - 4
I - 5
A - 7
L - 5

I'll post soon in the RP thread. Just need to give time for people to comment about anything they feel wrong with the characters.

As for colors
Claire = 8000FF
Levyn = 800000

Romance is fine and all, but the whole RP shouldn't be only consisting of hugging, kissing, descriptions of how much the characters love hugging/kissing, falling in love and becoming a couple during first few meetings, and one line dialogs ("let's go to A" "okay!" "B leads" "C follows"). In fact I think those should be kept to a minimum, because the RP thread is still kind of public, and I am sure most people don't want to read about other people kissing or read about how much they love hugging or kissing each other. Besides it makes us look like a cheap dating center. (Albeit pretended)

Tone it down, please?
I notice the RPs seem to go in cycles, where you'll get a sudden saturation of making-out and then someone will point out how unrealistic it's getting, then it calms down again...

And yes, I did it once, but that was Sid, and he's a dirty womanizer anyway...

So I'll be making a sneaky edit to my post. Thought of an alternate scenario, that wouldn't break the continuity.

So yeah... I come to realize I'm tired of RPing here due to the constant lack of activity from the players, either from sudden absence or just plain non-posting attitudes. It's not that I lost my interest in RP, but this retirement could be attested to the lack of importance given to the roleplay. I tried to delude myself that this is due to most of the members being young with school responsibilities and family events, but I would say this is not the true cause of the inactivity. Whatever the real reason is, I just find it cumbersome to give a dedication to a group effort where some members just aren't playing their part. I stuck through it through school because of grades, but in here there's nothing holding me back from throwing it all away.

For what it's worth though, I'll finish up on any remaining interactions then probably just give the main character a proper ending in lieu of my departure.

As a pseudo-final word, I did enjoy roleplaying here but most of those whom I enjoyed RPing with are now gone or at least have abandoned roleplaying. I'm not saying the newer members are bad roleplayers with this, but more of how I'm probably just incompatible to how they like to do their roleplaying. Putting drama aside, I feel old saying it like that.

Aww... But I won't be stopping you. You were very helpful and now I think I am going to need a lot more effort...

Tomorrow will be the last day of my finals and maybe I will be able to do something soon. However, I am also going back to my home at December 12, so I probably won't be free right away.

to be fair, we should make some of the effort. we should come up with events. for example, YsF currently has two pets with access to the Pike family fortune, one with access to a video game empire, and the heir to a technology company or something. translation: 4 rich pets just ripe for the petnapping for ransom money.

just a thought.

Well you could always do that, but be sure to talk things over with the owners of the character first...

Actually you don't have to |D, it's not as though they need to be put out of commission for the time they are kidnapped, but instead if you turn the kidnappers into actual interactive NPCs then it would actually be a very good method of having the players move out of their plain circle RPs.

It's Halloween right now as well, no one would question a costume, with an open house, at what's probably the biggest house in YsF. Seriously, the chances for those with ill intentions are infinite :D

Just saying.

That doesn't sound like a bad idea at all, each of you can play an NPC kidnapper or something. There is a lot you can do with this idea.

Things has approved. I'll begin initiation of the petnapping plan that will take part at the party. I'll control the one keeping an eye on Kat, House can handle the one watching Arin and Spike, and things will take care of the one watching Alexander whenever he gets around to posting again, unless of course one of the others grants me control of theirs. I'll also control the leader of the group.

I see Brent already started, but don't you think there will be more chance of interactivity if all of you try to kidnap each others' characters, instead of your own? Since trying to kidnap your own character is pretty much like RPing with yourself (except for whoever that is trying to kidnap both Arin and Spike). This is just an idea though, so doesn't really matter.

well in the end, I imagine they'll all end up in the same place, so all characters will interact with all the petnappers. but if you think that's best, the other two could switch, and I'd still be RP'ing with the others since I'm also being the big boss behind the scheme.

I think Spike's waiting on you, and the only people that can respond to your dognapper is the boss (who doesn't know what you just did, so has no reason to contact you) or Alexander (who I assume is unconcious now)

YsF still has open slots. However...

I think it's about time we close down YsF, because:
- YsF is pretty much dead, with only three active residents and with an average posting rate of 3 posts per week for the whole neighbor
- Unpopular neighbor canon, as pretty much almost no one want or like to follow the neighborhood restriction
- We already tried pretty much everything, including the recent NPCing. One of the most frequent complaint is "don't know what to do"
- YsF has lived long enough, and this isn't the first time YsF is in this state. It's about time for this neighbor to retire

And I believe these are good enough reasons. Anyone who think it's not enough?

Also I don't want to hear blames or see anyone pointing finger; it won't change anything and will only produce arguments.

dang it, the Sesame Street gang had just started to make their move.

and I point no fingers (except maybe at the Game who keeps disappearing for months at a time without warning, but again, not blaming, just pointing.)

If this does close, I'd have to move my characters to a new neighborhood. dang.

Well, I can't say I didn't see it coming - partly because I haven't posted here in weeks, heh..

Would anyone be interested in writing a 'conclusion' for their characters, or are we just going to ask a mod to lock the thread?

I just hate that the kidnapping was just getting started and it's getting cut off right here.
I'd like to talk to the others and work out a conclusion for the arc, then for our characters.

I'll probably write something for Phi and Dusk. My one regret is that I didn't wrap up that plot line while I could.

I think that it's a bit silly to cut it here people, I'm not surprised that it's closing either, but we shouldn't just Emelgee 360 like Oasis towers did. =w=

I think that we should just get the people who are actively RP Still, and get them to RP Everything out, and then from there, that will give enough time for the other players to write endings for their characters, or if they plan to move to another RP here on the forums.

It might seem silly that we would only have 5-6 people only RP-ing, but i think it's better than just cutting it off just like that.

and once everything is done, and everyone got to do what they wanted to do, we can close it off then. I also want to get Alexander out too, he's precious to me in a way. (Sheds man tear) And as you can see, it's a little hard to do if he's laying unconscious. =w=

Really now, there's no time limit for this, think about it.

If any of you want to wrap it up or write conclusions, go straight ahead. I didn't say I am closing down YsF right this instant and I would have locked the game thread if I didn't want people to post anymore. Plus finishing stuff in PM is always an option, and if necessary we can unlock the thread and put the conclusion back in.

But this has to end somewhere, so I am suggesting we close YsF soon. We can drag on forever and ever, no problem. But allow me to provide an analogy: You can leave a corpse unburied above the ground and let it decompose by itself, there are no time limits for that too.

I am just going to wait until next Friday, for both inputs and wrapping up. Nitz wrapped up his characters in 2 posts, so this shouldn't be a problem if you're serious about wrapping up or writing conclusions. I myself won't be writing any conclusions.

well I kind of have a whole big story arc to wrap up, one that involves conferring with 3-4 other players. Kind of more difficult for me. But I'll try to get it done.

but the thing is, at this point they can't get much disputier. how could they do anything worse to disperse?
I want to write up a summary of the events, and keep the Sesame Street gang in tact in case I want to use them again in another neighborhood.
