I want to write up a summary of the events, and keep the Sesame Street gang in tact in case I want to use them again in another neighborhood.

I think it's about time we close down YsF, because:
- YsF is pretty much dead, with only three active residents and with an average posting rate of 3 posts per week for the whole neighbor
- Unpopular neighbor canon, as pretty much almost no one want or like to follow the neighborhood restriction
- We already tried pretty much everything, including the recent NPCing. One of the most frequent complaint is "don't know what to do"
- YsF has lived long enough, and this isn't the first time YsF is in this state. It's about time for this neighbor to retire

And I believe these are good enough reasons. Anyone who think it's not enough?

Also I don't want to hear blames or see anyone pointing finger; it won't change anything and will only produce arguments.
This is rather depressing :[

Well, yeah.

Everything I want to actually say would have a name so I have to talk in circles and oblongs.

Basically I had two characters, both fashioned to interact with YsF canon-type characters, but that was in short supply so I had to axe one, then inactivity forced me to quit the RP o 3o..

Posting rate had been abysmal for a few months as well, so yeah.

Well, time's up.

If not having an ending really bothers you that much, you can still PM a mod and ask him to add your already written conclusion to the locked game thread. Remember RPing in PMs is also another option.

It was fun, but it's time to go. YsF is officially closed now.

I already wrote rough ends for Kat and Rion and Arin and Spike, I just need Moon and House to approve them, then I'll add the neighborhood ending for Kat, Spike, and the petnappers after they post those.

Well that's sad, me and Aqua never got through that one RP with Tiara... That and Flash is still off somewhere...
Oh well, I can always use them again elsewhere if I want to continue those stories I guess...

exactly. most of us who are still here (i.e: everyone involved in the kidnapping arc) are moving to another neighborhood with our characters. and Kuro may want to too, once he gets back to having time to RP.

Well, feel free to try and move to BsM. Don't know what's going on there, but it's supposed to be a suburb of Yorkshire...

the problem is we want to keep most of our characters together, and Moon already has 2 characters there, which would bring him up to 4, and I have one there, bringing me up to 3.
Otherwise, it would have been a fine idea.

See, the neat thing about BsM is that, at the moment, we don't have many players, so I'd be fine with everyone just moving there. Also, YsF was originally made for character crossover with BsM: Brookshire is supposed to be a suburb of Yorkshire. I'd even be happy if you guys posted stuff involving things which are happening in YsF, like, if you posted stuff about stragglers in YsF.

Really though, I'd just be happy with you all joining BsM. lol

not sure I want to control three characters at once. and Moon would have to control 4 at once, plus the families.

We can work all that out, and you can always do what I do: use the ones you want when you feel like it and just have the others not do things for a while. Think about it, it's not like you weren't controlling that many characters in the first place, the only difference is that they're in the same neighborhood.

So we've been spending some time talking about it over Skype, and me, Moon Howler, Brent, and a bit of Housefox have put some thoughts together on what to do with this. We had an idea for a little arc which would
1) Fix the time-difference problem with BsM
2) Allow anyone to make sudden and vast changes to their characers
3) Explain why Flash has been gone for so long
4) Allow stragglers to come in at their own pace.
5) NOT break any of the established cannon.
6) Have a SUPER AWESOME AND FUN storyline with plenty of ACTION and DRAMA to egg it on. BAM. That reason alone is good enough...

Here's the story: Alexander (who I'm told is very technological) finds a strange device which seems to have time/space warping powers and begins to study it. He ends up creating a portal which warps space/time (duh) and everything in Yorkshire is altered in some way and sent back to October 1st. (that's the date in BsM)
- Anyone who's right there when the portal is opened is unaffected and remembers the past
- Anyone who's near it but not there has a vague memory of it along with the new timeline
- Anyone further away is just reshuffled into the new timeline.
- Anyone outside of YsF is unaffected other than the fact that YsF has this new timeline.
Now, it should be assumed that everyone will eventually move to BsM, if they didn't just suddenly appear there as a character. In the meantime, I'm ok with people wrapping up their YsF storylines in the BsM thread.

Meanwhile, stuff will go on in BsM to link the two neighborhoods, and then people can sort of move over to BsM as they please (or just be moved there by the timeline-shift), and thus YsF is slowly phased back into BsM, like it was never made into a separate thread in the first place...

Now, because of the way they were formed and the way BsM's rules are structured, I'm pretty much going to let all of you in without having to screen your characters as they are now. If you're going to make a major change which happens to give them special magic powers or something, you'd need to run that by me. I'm also perfectly fine with people having more than 4 characters in BsM as a result of crossover: we actually have never followed the standard character rules.

Now, just to make sure, is anyone opposed to this sort of transition? So far MoonHowler, Brent, and SimpleThings are in favor of this. I'm pretty sure we can not only handle this, but that it'll totally re-energize both of these RPs. Also, this is still a ways away, so it's still totally open to suggestions, so feel free to make them.

There are a few more people here that I want to see some response from.
Who else has characters they want to keep? Who's in favor and who's against?

================
Actually, let me keep a tally
- Brent is IN
- Moon Howler is IN
- Simple Things is IN
- Housefox is IN
- Coatl Ruu LEFT
- Aquablast LEFT
- Hypergenesit LEFT
- Mystic Wolf needs to tell me is now IN!
- Kurowolfe seems inactive
- The Game seems inactive

================
Actually, having done that, it seems like everyone here is in favor of this, except Mystic, who probably won't say no when he responds. So... I need to talk to Simple Things next time he's available, and we can go ahead and Commence the Brilliant Action!

(I wonder if anyone will get that reference...)

================
And now that Mystic has replied in agreement: Simple Things> I need to chatter with you about how to begin this.
Everyone make new sheets for the characters as you'll be playing them in BsM, and post them in the Main OOC for me, then link them from the BsM OOC.
