Pet Friendly: Oasis Towers

Coffee watched the goggle-dog walk off towards a garden. His attention went back to the fancy dog next to him. "Aw jeez, it's one of those stuck-up, snobby pets!" He thought to himself, examining the pet (PERCEPTION 9). As he heard the growl-ish noise come from the other dog he took a step back, "Uhhhhhh...." He was slightly off put, a more correct term being disturbed, by the labrador's comment.

[Zander]

He pressed another button on his blu-tooth and turned toward the dog, which seemed taken aback.
"Hold on, theres a weird pet here." He looked down at the other dog.
"Whats wrong?" He said in a snobby tone.

"Oh, thank god... Nothing I just didn't realize you were on the phone, hehe." His hand began to scratch the back of his head as he shined a big grin. "I was actually here to introduce myself and..." He began to drift off as his mind began to go into a frenzy of imagination. "You know, with that headset you look like a secret agent!" Suddenly he put his hand up to his ear as he used his other hand to shape a gun. He started talking to himself and pretend to shoot the 'bad people'. Soon after he regained his composure and extend his hand, "Hi, I am Coffee Bean! Who are you?"

[Zander]

Matt's eyes widened at the dog's imagination running wild, but it wouldn't of mattered anyway because of his sunglasses. He folded his arms across his chest before the other dog extended his arm. "Uhh... My names Matt..." He held out his hand and shook coffee's. He looked around a little before realising his girlfriend was on hold. He let go of Coffee's hand quickly and pressed a button on the Blu-tooth.
"Hey i'm back"
"No Its fine now..."
"Yeah, Saturday sounds good. Okay bye." He pressed a button again and turned back toward Coffee.

[The Game]

Stephi looked stunned and watched Marc for a second. Then she crossed her arms and got that defiant 'don't make me try to hurt you' look on her face. "I don't even know what your name is, but it seems like every time I try to talk to you I freak you out! I'm not sure why, but sorry anyway." she turned to walk away, then after a few steps stopped and looked over her shoulder. "And it would help if I at least knew your name. You know mine if you ever want to talk to me without freaking out, you can. And please stop crying, I think I might start if you keep it up." she waved, and walked to where Tobias and Cap were, feeling frustrated. What did I do to that dog? Why does he keep flipping out?! I mean, I expected someone to recognize the Castle name and freak out, but this is just annoying.......that backfired...again... hey, are you okay?" she asked Cap, almost forgetting her frustration.

Andre asked, pausing for a moment as he saw another dog entering a garden, munching on a candy bar.

"Hello!" Andre called, waving to him.

"Ah, hello there," Jaxeh said with a devilish grin on his face, "It is nice, to meet, you all," he said, waving his hands dramatically in front of him with the pauses in his speech. "I, am Jaxeh Wark-and-if-I'm not mistaken... more likely than not the richest pet in this building!" He took another bite from his candy bar. My other friends are annoying late as per usual, so I figured I could kill some time by finding some others."

"Hey there Weenie, are you okay?" He asked, noticing his tail between his legs.

"Oh, his name is Weenie? How fitting. Yeah, Weenie's fiiiiiine." Jaxeh shot the Dachshund a quick grin. "Riiiiiiiight?" He quickly got off the subject. It didn't seem like the Dachshund was one to speak up, so he could just talk over him. "So, uh, what's with brawly boy over there in the corner?" He pointed at Marc offhandedly with his thumb, but didn't really wait for an answer. Instead, he walked right up to the curled ball, grabbed him by the back of the neck and hoisted him back to his feet. "Ya know, cryn' never gets you the things you want. It just makes you look pitiful. Stand tall." Jaxeh shook his head as he turned and stepped away. "So, it's a big tower. Who wants to explore everywhere for a bit? Do to my...standing, I have a keycard that will get us anywhere. Hmm? Any takers?"

Tobias shrugged, "I don't know what to say. I've never been good at dealing with shy pets like him." He told Stephanie. As Jaxeh made his comment Tobias looked at him, "Nah, his name's not Weenie, I just call him that." He said. After the mention of the 'keycard that will get us anywhere' Tobias's eyes widened, "Well I just so happen to have a map of the entire tower, and I was looking for an opportunity to explore it. So who's with us?" Tobias asked the group.

[D-Singer]

The elevator ‘binged’ as it reached the top floor. The five dogs walked down the hallway lead by Stetson to their new room. “Here we go! Room 1200.” He swiped the key and showed his escorts inside. “Make yourselves at home boys! I just gotta drop off my stuff and I’ll be steppin back down to see the other residents.” Walking down to the new studio midway down the hallway, Stet did a quick check over the equipment and appliances to make sure nothing was missing. Satisfied he placed his guitar down next to a recording mike and walked back to the den, making a quick stop in front of a hallway mirror to check his appearance and hairstyle. He crossed his arms and nodded, a big smile still plastered across muzzle. Once again impressed by his dads good choice in furnishings. Before deciding to leave, he grabbed a pair of new shades he picked out the day before, clipping them on one side of his bandanna for the moment.

“Alright! Headin out now, see-“ “Hold it!” Two of Stetson’s hired guards ran up to him, each coming from a different room they were exploring. The Doberman that was complaining earlier spoke for them. “We go with you. That’s the job.” He turned around and shouted back to the other two dogs, who were already busy playing one of the console games on the guest bedroom TV monitor. “ Cobray! Hone! You two keep watch until Jake gets here! One shouted back “Got it!” “Right then, let’s get goin!” The three left the room and began making their way back down to the lobby. Stet had already seen the number of pets walking around out back, so that would be an Ideal spot to make a good first impression. As they arrived back in the lobby Stet told his guards. “alright boys, play it cool, and try not to cramp my style.”

Flipping open his shades and placing them over his eyes, the handsome shepherd casually made his entrance into the back garden. His two paid ‘bodyguards’ followed closely and wordlessly behind with empty expressions hidden by their own dark eyewear. “With a little luck, I’ll get someone to recognize me. Let’s see...”

Cap mumbled out a reply, but it is entirely incomprehensible at that volume. There was too much going on for his taste. He never dealt well with large crowds... well not after an encounter like that anyways. He tried to wander off in the gardens feeling the call of nature he looked for somewhere private to go.

Jaxeh saw "Wennie" outright try to walk off, no subtly about it. Nope, that wasn't gonna happen. This one needed to stay under his thumb; if the spout of information he gave earlier was any indication, this one was smart...can't have him pulling something. "Hey, now where do ya think you'rrrrrrrrre goin' Hmm?" Jaxeh quickly swooped around, bringing his arm over Cap's shoulder, and brought the Dachshund back to the group. "We can't have you wandering from everyone else, now can we?" Jaxeh shot Cap the evil grin again.

"Well I just so happen to have a map of the entire tower, and I was looking for an opportunity to explore it. So who's with us?" Tobias asked the group.

"Ah, good! We have a taker. Yeah, com'on all! I can get you anywhere or anything. It'll be fun, and we can see what this entire tower has to offer us. Maybe we'll get to see if it's worth the cash to stay here." Jaxeh snorted at his own joke again. Since when did he care about money?
(OOC: Before you say anything, I talked to Kalvin before having Jaxeh make his character stay. It's okay.)

"Hmm...things seem somewhat off proportion here...almost got i-"

"Clicky! Phone!"

"Errrgh...I'm busy! Tell 'em to-"

"It's Moov! You haven't left the house in a week! So talk to him!"

Setting down his art pencil, an abnormally small Saint Bernard sighed and slipped off of his stool. What could Moov want? There was only one thing Moov ever called about, and that one thing was grounded or something. Or some pre-move in thing, though Klack didn't really buy it. The door to Klack's room got closed (again, somehow) so he turned the knob and braced himself against the door, pushing with his shoulder. Nope. He pulled back a bit, and gave it a small ram. The door popped out of the warped frame a bit faster than expected, sending Klack spiraling forward onto the floor as he burst through the door. He sighed as he got up, dusting his legs off.

He walked through his hallway, trying to ignore the ever enlarging crack in the wall, the peeling paint, the stains. Walking into the kitchen, he took his time busing dishes from that morning's breakfast then proceeding to pull on some rubber dishwashing gloves and cleaned dishes while he smiled at the obscenities coming from the phone. After a couple of dishes, he reached over to the counter, and lifted the phone to his ear, pinning it against his shoulder.

"Hello? Moov?"
"About freakn' time! What took you so long?"
"Door got stuck bad again."
"Bull. Doors don't get stuck. Where do you live, the slums? I wish you'd stop using that excuse."
Klack put on a hurt half smile, trying to shrug off the comment. "Whacha call for, Moov? You want to hang out or something?"
"No way. Why would I want to hang with you, Mr. Spineless? Nah, Jaxeh's out and about again, and he wants us at his new home; Oasis Towers or something like that."
"Really? How nice. We get to spend more time with Jaxeh. And just to let you know, you're one to talk, because you're spineless and brainless." Klack set down the last dish onto the drying rack, and pulled off his left glove so he could shift the phone to his other ear.
"The only reason I put up wi-"
"With me is because Jaxeh would hand you your behind, I know. Not sure why you put up with Jaxeh, though. Is it because you're shallow?"
"And why do you put up with him, you punk?"
"That'd be quite obvious if you cared to observe more than your own-"

"CLICKY! NO VULGARITIES!"

The voice on the other end snorted uncontrollably. "Yeah, listen to your moooooooom!"

Klack braced the phone on his chest. "I was gonna say nose mom!" Annoyed, he put the phone back to his ear. "Look, I'll see you at the towers, alright?" Klack hit the button to end the call. That dang pit bull always seemed so annoying; Klack was half glad they didn't like each other, and half annoyed they had to hang with Jaxeh together.

"Not to think I'm happy with my entire situation..." he mumbled under his breath. "Mom, heading out to see Jaxeh and Moov. Cya later, alright?"
"Okay Clicky! Be sure to be back by midnight!"

"Right mom," he responded, smiling. Always cheery, she was.

Klack grabbed the doorknob, but it fell off his hand as he turned it. "Arrrreeeerrrrggghhh..." he groaned. "MOM! The front doorknob broke again..."

"I'll call the landlord, sweetie. Just go out the back."

"Mom, this is the..." he thought for a moment, "at least the 22nd time you've called him for this! Either he's ripping us off, or he's just hiring some really cheap workers! And if it's not this, then it's the plumbing, or the roof or the-"

"Clicky dear?"

"Yes mom?"

"Just go out the back."

"Yes mom..." Klack quickly made his way to the backdoor, and started walking in the direction of the city, with no money for the bus.

"I've been friends with a lot of shy pets, but none like that." she said to Toby, whose name she still didn't know. "I'll go around the Towers with you guys, since I haven't gotten a good look at this place. " She gritted her teeth, knowing that Jaxeh was another of those 'I'm rich and gonna rub it in your face' people. "And it's nice to meet you Jaxeh, I'm Stephanie Castle."

At the grin he stopped talking and shut his mouth tightly, looking down at the floor. "I... uh... okay." To other people it would look like they were somewhat friends, but this Husky made Cap feel uncomfortable beyond all reason, and he had a lot of reasoning power.

[Zander]

After shaking the dog's hand Coffee began to sway back and forth, on the balls of his feet, listening to what Matt was saying. "Who was that?" He asked pointing to the headset, "And what happens on Saturday? Are you gonna rob a bank or something?"

"What? No! I have plenty of money. why would i rob a bank? You know what, just forget it." Matt started to walk back to the counter, but stopped. "Hey, you wouldnt happen to know where the best rooms are would you?"

Coffee gave him a weird look as Matt walked away, "But don't you think robbing a bank would be fun?". His imagination almost got him again, but he snapped out when he heard Matt ask him something. "Well if my guess is right and this building was built to make a caste system using the floor levels, you're best bet would be to look on the twentieth floor!" He said trying to think, "Plus, the penthouses and such are always located on the tippy-top."

[Teh Brawler]

Forcing all of his strength, Marc looked up, and prepared to overcome his shyness. With a deep breath, he looked up......

And found the scruff of his neck in the paw of the Siberian Husky. The dog gave him a quick shake, harshly told him not to cry, and threw him aside. Marc stayed where he had fallen; he felt defeated, and embarrassed. Come on, you dumb dog, you're six years old; get over this fear of animals. He got up, and sucked in his breath again. As he heard Laxeh somewhat forcing people to explore the building again, he called out, but with some hesitation, ".......I'll go."

Bastion smiled disarmingly at the tiger, who appeared to be somewhat nervous. "Sounds like fun, I need to check it out anyway." He began walking towards the entrance to the garden. "My name's Bastion, by the way."

Me and my big mouth... Li thought to himself after hearing Bastions response. "Oh, y-yeah, sure l-let's get going then." He responded to the stoat, his voice cracking slightly. "Uh, n-nice to meet you Bastion!" Li followed Bastion towards the garden doors. When they finally reached them, Li took a quick look and saw a bunch of other pets. "O-oh god..." Li said, with a frightened look on his face as he hid behind the closest walls, hoping that no one saw him.

[D-Singer]

As Stet made his way out back, he caught the end of Jaxeh’s Invitation to the other pets.

"Ah, good! We have a taker. Yeah, com'on all! I can get you anywhere or anything. It'll be fun, and we can see what this entire tower has to offer us. Maybe we'll get to see if it's worth the cash to stay here."

“Aha, this’ll be fun, looks like perfect crowd to me!” Seeing the opportunity he shouted out, lowering his shades and gesturing to his escorts as well as the few pets that had just entered.

“Hey! Mind if we tag along?”

The dogs behind him stood silently, paws behind their backs. Just starring off carelessly as they followed Stet.

ace, thinking aloud to himself in his fit of explorative curiosity "hmmmm.. seeing as i am just starting to explore this place maybe i should start on the ground floor" he heads to the elevator and stands up on his toes slightly to press the button. he scratches his head idly while he waits for the elevator and jumps a little bit when the bells scares him. he shakes himself off casually and enters the elevator and reaches up to press the button for the ground floor.

when riding the elevator down he hums the the tune that is playing out of the speakers and when the elevator finally reaches ground floor he walks out and looks around "huh, this place sure is big.. i wonder if there is even anyone out here at the moment"

Coffee's mind was, once again, set astray by the thought of him being a secret agent robbing a bank. He began to hold out his hands as if they were guns and roll around the lobby "dodging the cop's bullets". In mid-roll he accidently hit another's leg, causing him to roll out on his back. "Oops, sorry!" He said looking up to the pet who he hit, "Hey another pet! What's your name? Mine is Coffee Bean."

"oh uhh, hehe, hi there" he smiles "m- my name is ace, ace spade, i just move here, apartment number 777" he leans down and picks coffee up "what exactly were you doing just now? it looked like you were tring to remove fleas or something."

Matt looked awkwardly at the crazed sugar filled pet rolling around. He laughed to himself as he rolled into another pet. He noticed the elevator behind the new pet closing.
"Hey wait! keep it open!" He yelled. but it was too late. he ran over to find the elevator already left to a different floor. He swore, only then realizing the other two were right beside him.

thinking aloud to himself he accidentaly said "wow, the pets here sure are... energetic.."

"Haha, I was just pretending to rob a bank and yes, I am kinda energetic. Oh, thanks by the way." Coffee dusted himself off and looked at Ace, "Ace Spades? Sounds weird, you like card games? Or is it just an unfortunate name like mine?" He turned towards Matt and silently laughed to himself. "You gotta meet this guy, his name is Matt and he is kind of snobby but he means well... I think."

"card games!? are you kidding!? i love any and all kind of card games!!! my father is the best cardshark around! he taught me everything!" he beams with pride as he says all of this then turns to and waves with a happy smile "hello Matt, my name is ace!"

Bastion turned to look at Li as they neared the doors, the tiger was obviously shy. "We can stay inside if you want..." He looked up as he caught movement out of the corner of his eye and looked over to see a dog rolling around on the floor. "Why don't we go see what they're doing?"

Matt turned toward Ace with a blank expression on his face, and any trace of any expression was covered by his sunglasses.
He turned back toward the elevator with a simple "Hey" he pressed the button, hoping the elevator would come soon, God forbid he actually had to socialize.

"i'll give 2:1 odds that you're totally not the socialising type, right? i have a good idea.. are you perhaps any good at crd games? it's easyier than socialising, i promise, we could head up to my apartment and play a few rounds, c'mon whaddya say? coffee can join us too" ace wraps an arm around Matt's shoulder and leans on him and waits for the elevator too, having just automatically assumed that matt would go along with the idea

Coffee looked at the two, "Sure, I'll come. I am pretty good at those kind of games, especially black jack!". He looked up at the lights above the elevator door, counting down the numbers.

"blackjack eh? hehe, bring it on! hehe, what about you matt?" he nudges him playfully "you got a favourite game?"

[Zander]

"Eh" Matt let out at the suggestion. "Fine. When the elevator finally gets here ill meet you up there. Are we going to play poker? blackjack?"

"Would you be mad if I cheated?" Coffee asked kind of shyly. Finally, the elevator had come and Coffee stepped in as he waited for the others.

"hmm, i think poker sounds good! hehe! or, some other non gambling kind of cardgame.. you know.. i think it was called like, yugioh, or something? my dad bought me a few decks of those cards... BUT, if it IS for gambling fun then we should totally be playing poker" "cheating you say? well, i'd be interested to see how one could cheat, the more i know about the game the better" he looks around the lobby idly as they wait for the elevator and jumps with surprise as he thinks he saw a stoat and a tiger and as the elevator opens he rushes inside anxious to get away from what he believes were wild animals.

Matt rethought the idea of getting on the elevator. The overactive sugar dog was confined in a space, very dangerous stuff indeed.
But with a little hesitation he made his way on to the elevator.

"hey matt.. why did you hesitate just now?" he looks at him worried "is there something i should know before gotting on this elevator?"

Matt ignored the queston and changed the subject. "Do you have any poker chips?"

"do i-- do i have poker chips!? OF COURSE!!! what a silly question.. hehe, my dad is a renowned cardgame champion how could i not?" he pulls huimself together and calms down "ahem.. sorry for the outburst.."

Once everybody was in the elevator, Matt looked at Ace "what floor are you on?"
