Kyra rushed over to the old games bin, and picked through it. "A, A, A, A, A, A, B, B, Be, Bi, Bl... Hey, I think this is it!" She held up a copy of the video game, Blinx. "It looks like it, but there was a bigger box with it... It looked like..." She looked around, and pointed to a used console for the game for $50. "Like this thing! Only problem, it's $50..." Kyra checked whatever other money she had, which came to a total of... $15. "I'll just buy the game, I guess, and see if I can get one of those later..."

Rikki looks at the box with the X on it. He has no idea what any of this is, and has little interest beyond that, so he leans against the entrance, his tail waving lazily. Had he really just come out like that to Cale? He'd only recently become friends with him, and already, he had let an emotional moment like that slip... Should he apologize? He didn't know. He just stood there and thought about it....

"Th-Thank you" Joy started. "Your the first person to say something like that." Actually he wasn't the first, he was in this neighborhood, but not the first, she remembered her two boyfriends at her old town.
The first one cheated on her with a stray ally-cat, and the second was left behind when she moved here.
"Yeah I uh really mean it Joy....." Shep stuttered looking around nervously while Enya began looking at him strangely with an eyebrow raised. A sudden light bulb lit in Enya's head and she eyeballed both Joy and Shep with a naughty grin. "Mmmmmm you liking Miss Joy yes??" Enya whispered softly into Shep's fur clad ears. Shep's white fur had now transformed from a whitish pink blush into a flustered red, his blue and brown eyes narrowing in with shock.

Enya then pushed Shep towards Joy, pretending to trip over a twig on the branch. "Ahahahaha ooooooooh clumsy me!!!!" Enya said, faking an apology. Shep's eyes widdened as he now sat even closer to Joy, his face and facial expressions now showing lots of blushing, almost resembling a tomato.

"Oh Joy, I believing Husky Boy here is want tell you something." Enya said, backing away a little.

"Hold on...." Shep said, stopping Enya in mid-sentence. He sniffed the air, and a few seconds later his eyes widened. He got up quickly and leaped down the tree from branch to branch, quickly descending to the bottom where Jacob was.

"JACOB!" Shep yelled as he landed on his feet in front of him and getting up swiftly to face the black wolf. He growled as he stepped forward, not even quivering or backing off an inch. He stepped forward and began snarling and growling. Being half wolf himself, he didn't really give if the wolf was as big as him too. "Climb..get outta here." Shep whispered to Jacob, beckoning him to climb up the tree and stay out of sight.

"YOU GOTTA PROBLEM BUDDY?" Shep snarled, revealing his canines. He stanced, ready to fight this beast. "You pick on someone you're own size...Like me!"

"I guess you could say that. Before I moved here there wasn't a lot of pets in the neighborhood I lived in, so I was mostly by myself. I was either out exploring or at home playing video games." Sam ended the race, coming in 2nd place. She saw that Zeke had taken a controller so she switched the game to two players.

"Good game? Yeah it is! I've only seen it, when I played it, I couldn't get past the first boss Kinda funny how the monsters have a boss, I wonder if they get fired. Anyway, but I guess trying again might help. It's ironic-- I have no clue how this works, but according to the manual, I press the certain buttons, and it suddenly becomes easy! Then again, that's what a manual's for... And the story? You're a cat named 'Blinx' and you're a 'time sweeper'. You collect all these crystals, and if you get a pattern, you can use a time change, or something, where, for example, I just mainly got pause and Rewind, but when you use them, they do what they say, and only Blinx isn't affected! Of course, the vacuum can pick up the time crystals, but you can also pick up objects, like benches, and use them against the monsters, and when you get all of them, go to the Goal portal, and you go to the next round! It's all to save a princess, who these evil guys trapped, and they tried to collect time crystals, which means that time is frozen, and the people of the realm (except the princess) disappeared! IT'S THE BEST GAME EVER!" Kyra hugged the game, and went up to the counter to pay for it. "So... does this work for the white ex-box, too?" The cashier just shrugged, and Kyra said, "I'll go try! Now, who do we know who has a white box?"

The wolf let out a yelp and shrunk back as Shep hit the ground, even before he could make out Shep's size or shape. He ran around looking at different sheets, he guessed that sheets were covers, since they looked the same.
He found one that had different color squares on them, and picked up the bag with them in it and ran Back to his mom.

Kyra watched as everyone left, still having her question left unanswered. She walked off in her own direction to where her parents said they were. Wait, where did they say they were? She started to look down both ways, and then tried pressing the button on her collar. It did nothing, just turned on a red light. As if that'd help. She slowly followed the others, hoping that her parents wouldn't make another embarrassing trip to find her. "But they said to press the button..." she muttered to herself.

Rikki looked over at Kyra, fidgeting with her collar. He walked over to her, half-draggig Zeke who had just finished his goodbye. "You don't need a ride again do you?" He noticed she had turned a red light on on the box on her collar, which he realized looked like his walkie-talkie. "What's with the walkie-talkie?"

"Walkie-talkie? That's what this thing is?" She held down the button, and comically said, "Psshht-- Kyra to home base, Kyra to home base, we've got the bird in the hen with the 404-E over television, over." She released it, and immediately, a low-volume, high-pitched screeching started. "I don't like walkie-talkies anymore..." she said, trying to cover her ears with the game in one paw, manual in other. It appeared nobody else heard it, though. The red light was now fluctuating between red, green, and-- was that blue? It kept doing that until it shut down, and it smelled like smoke emanating from it. "Y'know, if this was a book or box controller, I wouldn't be in this situation right now..."

Rikki raised a brow, chuckling a bit to himself. Kyra had managed to make the device do things he'd never seen a walkie-talkie do. He was bad with technology, but Kyra had just done something ridiculous.
"Wow... I take it you're gonna need help finding your 'parents' now?"

Zeke set down his controller and turned to Sam. "Well, that was some race!" guess I'm going too." he gave a faint wave as He said it. "Guess ill see you later?" as he was dragged around the store by Riki. He wasn't paying attention to much, but he did notice that there was the faint scent of burning wires, similar to what his collar smelled like. He looked over and realized that it was the girl from this morning. "Hi! I'm sorry about earlier!" he grinned nervously. Anubis struggled against the foliage, still wide eyed and tense, his eyes fixed upon the collared animal. ANOTHER ONE had come out of the tree.

He began to whimper, "I'm sorry, I- I was just looking for food, and I heard some noise, and I ran into that cat-thing, and he had a collar, and then- and then you came out- and I tried to get away, and- and-" he began to ramble "and Rikki and Jack said that if I ever got into trouble with a human or an animal with a human's collar that-" he whimpered even more now "That I'd be in trouble, and that someone might come and kill me, and they might kill my new family." He got a little louder, and began to go back into a panic, getting teary-eyed "Oh please don't kill my family! Please don't kill them! I love Ceasar, he's so nice and Please don't kill them!"

(( Now look what you did! You terrified a poor little wolf! He's not even 5 you know! Shame on you! :P ))
