Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Well I definitely PMd Koya before that date and Koya didn't reply but s/he definitely got the message since it went into my sent box. I think therefore that it's time to let them go. We won't kill the character - we'll just leave him on the island. That way if Koya ever wants to join again, they can. Here's the message I'll send.
Hi, Koya Ghost.
As you have shown no interest in participating in this RP since making your character sheet and your introductory post, and as you have not responded to my previous PM, we will unfortunately be dropping you as an active player. Should you wish to continue in this RP, you are welcome to create a new character sheet or resubmit the old one. Please feel free to PM me should you wish to discuss this further. I wish you luck wherever the wind and tides may take you.
Cheers,
Hlaoroo.
I sent a similar one to TIM a few months back after they failed to post here too.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
DOUBLE POST! Sorry, mods.
I'm thinking we'll start the next day as soon as everyone is finished for the night. I think we're just waiting on Jin, Rhyme and Cedric now. Argent, if you could have the captain order Vincent (Koya's character) left behind when he finds out about him, that'd be good.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Why would the captain do that? Be more reasonable to have him left behind accidentally in the hustle and bustle, or just turn into one of the unnamed spear carriers.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Actually, he did wake up and eat, didn't he? I forgot... I suppose we could just assume he's in the ranks in the background or something.
Well, do what you want, only have him either written out or put in the background as he's no longer an active player.
EDIT:
New day! If anyone has any objections then I'll retract that post but otherwise, let's start the new day and get things moving here again.
We can assume the foxes were woken and moved onto the ship after which they went to bed again.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
I'd say the captain knows she's there but he was too busy organising the departure so he'll deal with her as soon as she's brought to his attention again.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Sorry about that. I did intend to.
They'll be in their city which is hidden in an obscure corner of the armoury. Tiki or a wolf could probably climb over things to get close to the spot but they wouldn't be able to get right into the rats' rooms. They'd be highly likely to be able to get within talking distance though, although I think that'd be more likely talking distance from the barracks and fortifications rather than the infirmary which would be further in where it could be protected.
Short answer - they could talk to the rats in the outskirts of the city but they'd have to yell to get the rats on the inside to hear and that would attract undue attention.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Looks just fine to me, LC, exept that you used a comma instead of a semi colon. But I'd never be so pernickety as to enforce such attention to grammar. You've no need to apologise.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
Well it argent thought that I mentioned that I had my own stash of gunpowder. But It's not a personal stash it's just his favorite type of gunpowder. It's a personal preference not a personal stash.
And yes I know I have horrible grammar

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
I think you did say that Tiki carried a pouch of powder but I don't remembering you mentioning a whole stash at all. Up to you though.
And your grammar isn't terrible. I've seen far worse!

Yea the pouch is the powder he carries with him. But that powder comes from the powder keg he's searching for right now.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
That's Captain Jack Sparrow. I loved that first movie. I didn't think the sequals were as good though.
Does anybody have some ideas for arcs for this RP? Hotep has sent me a couple but I'd love for the rest of you to have some input too.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
no no no you're doing it wrong mate , it's "there should be a captain in there somewhere"
and yeah I think the 1st one is the best , soooo much hilarity , I still like the sequels though even though they were kind of not as good , but what am I saying
right now I'm not having much of an idea for this RP (surprise !) , but I'll propose to you guys as soon as this crazy mind of mine think of something

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
*facepaw* I really need to watch that again!
It's OK, Serence. There's no rush. Sooner is better though so that I can start to put together a coherent storyline.

actually now that I think about it , I'm more of a improvising kind of mind (I'm a mind ?!) , so if possible , maybe you guys could come up with something first and I'll randomly generate mine from that basis , so we don't clash with each other you know

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
OK.
So the ideas we have so far are as follows:
Sea Battle
Raid on a town/port
Visiting another island
Volcanic eruption either forming a new island whilst they're on the ship or on an island that they're visiting
Storm at sea
The difficulty is that if we're raiding and fighting then we need to work out a way to keep it within the forum ratings...

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
as long as it's not gory or too detailed it's ok right ? so.......would something like this do ?
"the surprise only caught the man's attention for a split second . But most unfortunately for him , that half of a second was all his opponent needed . The last thing he saw was her eyes inches away from his , the light from her blades , like shooting stars dash across his vision as he felt a small , abrupt pain on his chest.......
.......and then.....the battle was over...."

I suppose that's OK but anything more detailed then that we should definitely run by the mods first.

yeah , this is a really risky plot if we decide to do it but I'm sure none of us would go over the line........at least , I'm sure you guys wouldn't but......I should stop talking

Need to find a historically documented eruption in that era.Hlaoroo wrote:Volcanic eruption either forming a new island whilst they're on the ship or on an island that they're visiting.

Re: 17th Century Fox - OOC
There was a documented tsunami in the Caribbean in 1726. You're in 1725 now. Could be a volcano or earthquake.
