As soon as the whole gang scurried into the dark room, the huge double doors which they had entered through slammed shut, and the the room was filled with pitch black darkness. In an instant they 5 pets flipped on their flashlights and quickly scanned the room. In front of them was a wooden door, and on each side were 2 collapsed grand staircases. rubble from the worn out building was lying on the ground, various memorabilia items including a few mirrors, some cracked, and various small tables which held pots and worn out candles.

Zane looked around the room with the flashlight, catching glimpses of shadows with his flashlight that he could've swore were moving. "Heh heh.. heh.."he chuckled nervously. He looked at the others, taking a big gulp. "anyone want to go first?"

Terry shone his light all around, scanning the room left and right. "Well, I only see two ways to go, that door or out.", he said as he kept his light shown on the door in front of the party. "Why are we here again?", he asked himself under his voice.

Zane looked around for a little more and walked up the the wooden door, giving it a slight tug.

The door slowly swung open with a loud creak, revealing a very dark hallway. He poked his head inside and looked around. It seemed as though there was a door on each end. Every so often down the hall, there was a small sidetable with one drawer, and 3 candles on top, followed by a few unlit torches.

-Guys, maybe we should let the principal door like a meeting point... don't you think?-

"Hey Zane, wait up!", said Terry out loud as he caught up to the cat. "So what's in here?" he asked as he swung his light to the hall the same way Zane did. He took a step into the hall and suddenly flashed his light to his feet, thinking he kicked something.

Tom was scanning the room with his flashlight, looking for glimpses of anything shiny he may be able to use later.
"well, we're not going to find any ghosts just standing around here. let's go through those doors. and Zachary, I wouldn't trust the structural integrity of an already collapsed staircase."

Zeta whimpered an "I hate this place" under her breath. She followed the group past the doors that Zane had opened, shining her flashlight behind them. She yelped when she thought she saw something in her flashlight's beam. She squinted to try and get a better look. "Is somebody there?"

((OOC: Slow down, will ya?))

Zach turned around and saw Zeta... was obvious that she was a little frightered.

Then he put his paw in her shoulder and walked to Zane.

And sure enough, he had kicked something. As the light shown down, it glimmered off of a small box with a handle, and sure enough it was a medkit. Not only that, but next to it was a matchbox with 4 matches!

Zane looked down at his feet "Well aren't you the lucky one?"
He turned over to look at Zeta.

Terry stashed both the medkit and matchbox into his backpack, "Yeah, that was real lucky.", he said as he turned around as well. "Right, before we go in any further, what's the plan?", asked the dalmatian to the group, "I mean we all agree to come but are we going to stay the night or put a mark on top of the mansion or what?", he tried clarifying his question.

Zane shone the flashlight around some more. "why don't we check to see if some of these doors are openable first, then maybe we can find some stairs and get to the roof."

Zeta kept her eyes focused behind the group. Having seen nothing and still cautious, she backed up a bit. Not wanting to seem like a scaredy-fox, she told the group, "I vote we look around some more." She went ove to one of the doors and tried opening it.

Tom followed into the hallway and went to another set of doors (#8). he attempted to open them while saying, "and if they won't open, I brought a crowbar."

-Well, won't go anywhere standing here- Zach said

Then he follow Tom and enter to the door, when saw the two hallways, one to the right one to the left, he took the left one, and turned aroun in the corner.

Waving his flashlight he investigate the dark room, and saw a door.. so put the flashlight in his mouth while with both hands tried to open the number 6 door.

That's not what I meant... Nevermind Terry thought as he observe the group scatter. He went to the rubble of the collapsed staircase and checked if there was anything that could be used, maybe a squatter's hidden treasure or some treasure hidden during its construction. Oh Terry you silly puppy., he told himself but continued to check anyway.

The door didn't even budge, maybe the gods didn't know what door she was trying to open.

Beside the worn out door there was a scratched up sign which read in faded letters. "to the cellar" however the door was Sturdy, and when he pulled on the handle, it simply popped off, leaving a small hole where the handle used to be. A slight breeze of extremely cold air flowed through the hole, and then stopped.

The door splintered and cracked, and slowly opened revealing a fairly dark room with cracked mirrors covering the walls, various exercise equipment scattered the floor, weights of various sizes, 2 benchpressing areas, and a series of pullies leading into the roof, apparently some sort of upper body workout equipment.

@Terry

he rolled over a piece of rubble and somethig glimmered, 2 d batteries, covered in dirt lay before him.

-Wow!! *Cof Cof* Is pretty dark and dusty here- Said waving his flashlight

-Guys, this one is open!!!- Yelled

Then he entered to the room, next to him was a little locker with a rusted lock.

-Maybe...-

Then he punched the lock strongly trying to open it.

This is a nice find. Terry thought as he stashed the batteries in his pack. Seeing that the others had gone with their own businesses, he returned to Zane's side and waited for news from the others.

The metal door swung open, and a small plume of dust spurted out. Once the dust had settled a small red lever jutted out from the back of the locker with a small warning sticker scratched out underneath. The only other thing in the locker was a few old gym shorts and a small weight.

After cleaning his face of dust, Zach saw the lever.

-GUYS!! Right here!- He yelled

Then he saw the warning advice, turned around to see if someone was coming...

-Before i pull it, it's better wait for someone-
So he staid in front of the lever, waiting

Tom heard the call and walked into the room. as soon as he saw the lever, his curiosity got the better of him. "Oooh, I wonder what this does" he said as he pulled the lever.

Within a second of the lever being pulled, metal pipes leading from the roof to some sort of water fountain on the other side of the room began to rattle as water began to rush through them.
In anninstant the door right behind Zane slammed shut, the only light entering besides their flashlights was through a hole in the door where the knob popped off.
The pipe kept rattling, looking as though it could burst any second.

Zane let out a small "eep!" as the door shut.

-Thanks Tom- Said sarcastic Zach looking the pipes.

-We have to go out from here, if that pipe brokes, we're gonna die drowned-

In the second that he said that, his mind get bad... Drowing was a terrible death, almost like burned.

Then he looked the room trying to find a way out, waving his flashlight, maybe he could find a ventilation hole or something

"any time." he said sarcastically back. "I was curious." he pulled the lever in the opposite direction from what he had done before, hoping it would stop the water.

a spray of water jutted across the room out of the rusted pipe.

Zane quickly stashed his flashlight away and sprinted over to the others. "Is there a way to get out?!" he asked, worried.

-Hey, there is a way out- Said to Tom pointing to the AC Grate.

With all his fur wet, he tuned off his flashlight for saving battery and put it in his backpack, protecting it from the water.

The grate popped off almost instantly, but Tom lost his grip on the crowbar, and it flew into the, now 3 inch deep murky water.

The Air grate was filling up ever so slowly, they needed to hurry fast.

Zane, in a stroke of selfishness, threw himself down in the water, and started crawling down the airway yelling "Me first!"

Tom didn't feel like attempting to feel around for his crowbar, so he just said "farewell crowbar, your sacrifice will not be forgotten." he then saluted and proceeded to crawl through the airway.

Terry was just confused as to what was happening inside though subconsciously he replied, "Okay.", before he then walked to Zeta. "So... Zane, Tom and Zach went on their own for a while, they said they'll meet us later.", he explained, intentionally leaving out the part about their survival as he assumed it was just a ploy to freak the two of them out.

It was pitch black. The faint sound of water splashing in the room behind them seemed to be left behind. Though the constant reminder of danger pierced into their brains as the water began to get higher and higher, soon filling more then half the metal airway, slowing them down.

But when he felt the water reached his neck, he tried to go back, but when he saw Tom behind him he recognized that it was only a way out...Forward. And he went forward behind Zane...Luckily the next room was near....

-Please...-
