Well Sleet, if you were with us that one day on Skype, you would've heard a lot of RickSleet wrote:So, that's what Rick sounds like.

Actually for Peanut's comics those voices and performances were probably right on.rickgriffin wrote:Okay so
I'm obviously not very practiced at recording but if anyone would like to coach me that'd be awesome
I got an awesome voice for the yellow badguy dog (cyborg) but only in like his first line. After that he starts sounding like main badguy (dog in a dress)
If you want coaching for non-Spot (Superdog) comics, though, I'm not the one to do it. But I'd suggest emoting more--make it sound like you're actually saying the lines for the first time to someone, and not just reading them off the comics.

No, it's not. x3 To hear Rick using a non-character voice, check out one of the interviews posted in this forum.Sleet wrote:So, that's what Rick sounds like.

I'm jealous that all of you guys get to talk to Rick on Skype, and I don't. I added him, but he never added me back. I guess he tolerates me enough for AIM and this forum only. Or maybe he's busy. X3 Either way, I'm jealous.Challenger01 wrote:Well Sleet, if you were with us that one day on Skype, you would've heard a lot of RickSleet wrote:So, that's what Rick sounds like.

Re: Housepets on Youtube?
Um hello...? I tried to do a little adaptation too... though only animation, I had to use synthesized voices (I'm not native speaker and I get rarely chance to talk in English (with mouth I mean (and vocal chords of course))... plus I didn't play with it much, not much appropriate sound effects, bad sync, one part is longer then it should've been, I don't think it's good, but ReCreate won't let me alone, until I post it So here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g20U7qzLg38 I hope it's at least a little bit good (although my previous video has probably most views of all of HP videos ). Actually what I would do, would be make a whole arc into one video, as individual strips/panels are continuous, my idea was to make it more film-like (like... cinema-like experience, or I don't know how to explain...), but of course, for this, I would need higher-resolution files (preferably original PSDs, so I can make speech bubbles appear independently and animate them a little bit too), so I can play with it much more and make it look much more polished and smooth than this rough draft, but that's just hypothetical thinking, since that's probably not happening.
Anyway, I noticed people often naming what software they have... I don't know, it seems weird, because video editing software is just a tool, nothing else, just a tool and what's more important is the result, because... it's a tool, the same way paintbrush is a tool, but just ownership of a paintbrush doesn't mean you can draw like a Picasso or just ownership of a screwdriver doesn't mean that you can assemble a car from scratch (do not take it literally). For example, I almost never say what tools I used to make something, but if it's important, then it's Sony Vegas Pro 9 (legal, I bought a license), but I often combine more tools, depending on what I do...

By the way guys, I am not looking for the dramatic arcs to get voiced, which means that Pete and King will probably not need voices

Well Housedog, you can use Audacity for your reel and send it in to Teh_Brawler.... Or you can just do the Skype call I guess.

And to answer your question Mariomarc: I dunno, either get some space somewhere or make a video of it and upload to youtube

Re: Housepets on Youtube?
i should probably be saying that even though the radio project helps this by already having a lot of voices, and this helps the radio project by letting us do something while we slowly slowly get everything set up, this and the radio project are kind of distinct and no this is not replacing the radio project or something
now people can stop asking me about it

Re: Housepets on Youtube?
Both are free. Google it and download it!
Skype can cause problems sometimes with audio, so Audacity is better for recording stuffs.

Re: Housepets on Youtube?
Buck is very correct on this one. Audacity, a tool many people including myself on the site use, is a free downloadable program that is used specifically for the purposes of recording, editing, and converting audio. Skype is a program used to video chat with others via a webcam or microphone. My personal choice for the recording is Audacity, simply because Skype can sometimes boot you out due to a bad connection and such. But if you want to, oh, I don't know, do your voice in a group (sorry Buck, I just HAD to reference this ) then Skype would be the place to do it.
So to recap: Audacity for recording, Skype for sharing!
Hope that helps anyone who has had questions!

Audacity it is!
Unless I feel like video-chatting, in which case i'm going to make a Skype account anyway.

Zander: That remains to be seen. Both you and Tails have done good jobs, so there's no reason why you BOTH can't work on it! Rick's in charge of the project (it seems) so he makes the final decisions.

Yeah, I think it's actually be great if more than one person did the video rendering, especially given that it might end up being too much work for one personBuckdida wrote:Zander: That remains to be seen. Most of the characters are roughly equivalent to teenagers, so you might as well try if you want!
