I actually have a legitamate idea but i Dont know if i should go into detail because its still on the drawing board as of now so basically its a podcast we would like to have Rick intro it and we want to poll for topics for now we'll only be a Biweekly thing any ideas, compliments, criticisms? any comment would be welcome at this point

HEY! Don't take credit for MY idea, David!

-Ive emailed Rick and he said he'd have to listen to it before he would give us any sort of intro or permission to put "The Official Housepets! Podcast" on its name. It's name as of now is "HPR!" (Housepets Radio!), the first episode would consist of community chosen topics (if we ever get any), news (ex. the Voice casting thing changing hands and restarting), a quick recap of the main story arc so far, and us host's favorite arcs.

Make a Facebook page and try to send it to people.
It is really easy to spread something like this on Facebook.
Just Tell everyone what it's about and make a slide show of an arch that you don't need any background information to understand.
When I show people Housepets for the first time, I always tell them a little what it's about and I show them "The Vet"
It's funny, and easy to understand and gets people into it.
I've gotten about 20-30 people reading it just from showing them that arch.

there is already a facebook page, but so far all it has done is copy fanart for DA/FA and show it there without giving credits.
(okay perhaps it's not as bad as that, but still)

With all this talk of internets I noticed one thing, no one said make a sticker on your car! Slap a bumper sticker or paint your back windshield! That's how we do it in Louisiana. hahaha I've been telling people to go to it, so that's like 20 people starting to follow it. Word of mouth is better than anything, because then you have the chance to explain what it's about, thereby getting rid of any misconceptions in the first place. Sure it's not as fast, but it travels quickly if your looking for a loyal community of locals.

I'm not saying that the internet should be excluded, but it does provide more confusion on the part of those on the internet. We all know there's things out there that no one wants to see on the great big circle of internet. haha Yeah the internet brings more diversity, because otherwise you just get a bunch of local people if you frequent word of mouth as the creator. But if we fans do it, we bring more people from everywhere.

But seriously, do a bumper sticker! Tons of people look up websites they see on cars.

If I'm not mistaken, Rick has been *invited* to join Keenspot, but has turned the offer down for reasons of his own... at least, for the time being. (Source: Rick's twitter)

Some one should make a banner forhousepets on top web comics it would show people what housepets looks lik. And housepets is in the top 40 web comics of march

On TpWebComics, Housepets usually hovers in the mid to high thirties. A massive vote turnout one month could drive it in the top ten, which would show the banner.

And how about a vote incentive of some kind? A lot of webcomics there have them. It doesn't even have to be something Rick does. He could have a weekly Fanart contest, and post the best one up every week as the vote incentive. That might drum up a few votes, which would drive Housepets higher on the site, which would attract more people visiting.

I wouldn't go that far. Just a nice pic. it would also be an incentive for the forumites, whose art would be put there.

Like the #1 comic twokinds has a weekly picture update. That could help the votes alot

Rick is not interested in buying votes by providing an "incentive" image; that's been shot down before.

I think i found a good way for Rick to get some notice.

http://webcomics.cc/

They only talk about family-friendly webcomics though. HP! maybe self-imposed PG-13, but i saw Ratfist on there and honestly thought Rick's comic could be close enough related to this if Rick tries hard enough.

The comic's rated PG, the forums are at maximum PG-13; it's the upper limit and not where things are intended or allowed to remain for any extended amount of time.

Showed the first volume at work yesterday hoping to attract readers. People found the cover cute and amusing.

Quote of yesterday: "Housepets are naked all the time... But why can't i be naked all the time?"

I'm trying to find ways for people to see my book, but it's kind of hard. I don't really have any opportunities for that.

You could always walk up and down the sidewalk of downton, wearing tattered clothing, and holding up a sign that says, "My book is nigh!"

Leave it on the living room table or somewhere visible? Get ready to buy another one though, if someone actually took it without returning!
