The What Chicken is really from the Sandwich Farm.It hitched a ride with the Sandwiches to see the pet friendly neighborhood. It has been confusing the heck out of the residents of Babylon Gardens ever since.

Bino is there to extract a confession from Zach. he is a snitch, a spy. He will act as if he is in the same predicament to earn Zach's trust and extract information from him about the cats. This was all Bino's idea, of course, so it will fail. Horribly.

Joey has gone mad and started the water balloon war. Frustrated and confused by his double life, Joey encounters an identity crisis and is sent reeling into a display of obsessive hatred against cats. He wears his homemade military uniform, hat, and a scowl at all times, and will stop at nothing to win this war.

And throws water balloons at himself constantly.

Joey in a catsuit is actually Captain Pea. Grape even thinks so!

the war wasn't started by the dogs or the cats. it was started by Rick when he drew Zach getting hit with a water balloon.

Marvin was not pointing Zach to Grape and Max, but rather to the assigned bathroom trees for the cat's side. Zach just lost his way trying to get there and accidentally stumbled upon Grape and Max.

the actual double agent is a ninja that was hiding in the panel that led us to believe it was Joey.

Rick Griffin is the boss of the Housepets! Fighting game. It's actually something Peanut is writing in his Spot Comics.

After the player defeats him though with Spot, Rick has no choice but to grant the wish to the winner. Considering Peanut wrote the game, however, he makes up the wishes he knows (Grape, Maxwell, Tarot, Joey, etc.) and accidentally ends up creating multiple universes :O

Thus, the Cats Vs. Dogs war begins.

The war will be ended by no-one other but Max's contact. He will barge into the dogs alone, but they won't harm him! They all feel SORRY for him, because of his... eye problem! While the dogs are unprepared, he will use some awesome water weapon he has to take them all out!

Wrong. It is Fox. He is tired of always being second in command, and wants to take over. He will use this war to take over the GODC, and his wolf cub agents are already in place to do so while he watches from afar, waiting until the right moment to ride into the fray and stop this artificial war.

O. Captain Pea

You know I wonder how much of a Map of Babylon Gardens someone could put together right now? Also on a semi-random tangent here I bet Rick will either end one of the Years with an overhead shot of Babylon Gardens or that's exactly how he will end the comic, that of course being the last panel of the last comic or as a last update page after the story has finished. (I think its more likely he'll do it the second or third way if at all, plus I think its more fitting)

and as it zooms out farther, we learn that the entire town is in a snow globe, or it was a dream, or they're in space.

There is no map of Babylon Gardens. It is constantly shifting around ever since the ferrets installed a mechanism to never have their mansion in the same place. There is no set street signs, you just have to live there too know...

Perhaps I was right about the reason being trust for Grape not telling Maxwell about being a spy right away. (as I mentioned in the comment section here http://www.housepetscomic.com/2011/08/0 ... ment-81450 fueled by Brent's comment above it) The more I think about it the more it seems plausible (though I must stress I'm still not 100% sure more like 80% at this point) this could (if I'm right) come up as a plot point in a later arc in the comic and that's why Rick hasn't really addressed why she didn't tell him.

Alternatively I could be being stupid about this and the real reason he hasn't said anything is he either doesn't have an answer or just doesn't care about it at all and doesn't feel like addressing my complaint about it.

Max is actually Pete's evil twin brother, Etep, in disguise.

Along with that, Pete is a good guy.

then they visit the Louvre, which happens in this strip
then Peanut and Grape share a kiss atop the Eiffel Tower under the moonlight
because Paris is the city of love and stuff
then they go home
and when they get back, Max asks if they saw anything cool while they were in Paris
and it turns out they accidentally brought back French-Peanut, or something
