Sasha looks great! I like all the little stuff on the Sheet like the handwriting. Also I believe that is the first time we have seen her last name as well. Also yes she looks very 80s but I like that about it.

Also assuming Rick only does every Non secondary on the cast Page (No Rex or the Wolves (Edit: Except Miles and Lucretia) or Joey's Creepy Friends and the Ferrets are one Sheet, or just Keene) it should take him 20 weeks to do everyone. So we should have everyone by February 19th or so.
Edit: Forgot that Miles and Lucretia would likely be done at least.

will we be getting last names for every character that doesn't have one yet?

THAT LOOKS AWESOME! Those clothes items on her really fit her, to me at least.

I'm going to nom your head now Rick because you're so awesome with the design by the way. Presenting Sasha is a good start also since she's alot more fashion friendly. That meart mark looks more like a fur version of a tattoo and the bracelets are classic teen school. It's like the pets are getting a age makeover, but going back to in time to do so rather than forward. Like people say, it feels like 80's. Can't wait until we get to see Peanut/Grape/Max and Tarot <3

New character designs?! I'm afraid of change!

I like the hair over the eye. Its a nice touch. For some reason it makes a character look more waif-like.

frankly, looking at the other preliminary sketches, pudgy Bino = really ugly. It doesn't even suit his personality, he's one of the most active dogs, and his breed doesn't come with big gut.
I hope that it will be corrected.
I love Max's look: he looks even more rogue-ish that way.

There's something about the new Sasha design that I don't like. It might be the face and the aforementioned expanded cheeks.

Max looks a lot more like Grape now... at least he does to me.
As for Bino, maybe his gut is a bit too large, but his face is so cute!
Yeah... Fox is way too tall now.

Actually, I always that it was appropiate for Fox to be one of the taller characters, to signify him being one of the saner characters.

Max just doesn't look like Max, I'm dead serious, Max is gone.

I like the new style. With the exception of Bino looking a little chubby, I have no complaints. I'm going to enjoy seeing these new styles. It always interests me when a well known character is drawn in a slightly different style with simple yet personalized looks. (Like Sasha's new hair. I love it!)

It seems to give the characters each a more individual look. I don't personally care how Rick decides to change each character.

What I meant was, in fiction, it always seemed to me that taller tends to mean saner(with a few exeptions), and shorter meant insaner... or more of a messed up life(read:KING), still with a few exeptions. Fox always seemed to be the sanest character(minus the christmas party incident), compared to Bino, Sasha, King, Penut, ect. ect.

The sketches are different in a good way. Retro and current all in one. Very adorable too. I cannot wait until the new style is implemented.

And if that's King on the left end there, I don't like that look--he looks like Grumpy Bear. He looked fine as he was, I thought.

Otherwise, I hope I'll get used to the new look soon because I never like new art styles like this right away, even if I end up appreciating them later. I do think the current style is better than the old style, though (for the most part--there was some kind of "charm" the originals had, at least in black and white, that the current ones don't, though doggoned if I can explain it in words.... ).

I kind of agree, King looks wrong, a different sort of wrong, but maybe I just need to see more of him.

Oh... dang. She is even more adorable than before!

So if you're moving to this new style, can I have the old one? :)

The characters are looking great. I can't wait to see them on-panel. Will we see sketches of more cats before they appear in the comic?

The newer King art i think is better than the current one, but it's not by much. I just think the hip looks better in the newer form =P

Bino looks like he got more lazy, but that doesn't mean for the worse. I like to see where that is heading, honestly. Fox looks a little too skinny i find, but being taller than Bino is something i always would've expected. <.<

Max reminds me more of one of the Greasers from The Outsiders the more i see his cat-like charms. Should've seen that coming. Reminds me of Ponyboy with hints of Johnny.

I'm struggling with the new Max and Sasha and Fox.
Sasha's face looks very angular to me, and I'm struggling to fit it with her character in my mind. The neck also feels a bit skinny to me from the front, but that's probably getting a bit nit-picky.
Max's jawline is very sharp. I may get used to this, or it may be that the sketch on DA is still being fleshed out and it loses a bit of it's edge. I'm still on the fence.
Fox is very lanky. His legs are very long, but his body feels normal-sized. Again I only have the sketch to look at, so I'll see what you make of it.

On the whole, I like what you're doing. My one thing is I'm concerned you are going to keep the big arms/legs look that you started with and made your characters so memorable even if it clashes with the new style. I wouldn't mind them thinning out some to go with the more streamlined look of some characters (Sasha in particular).

Positives:
King is (Dare I say) more adorable than ever! How do you do it?
Bino's face is very distinct, and I really like it. I think I may get used to a slightly pudgy Bino, if that's the direction your going. If he's just slouched, I still say the body proportions are great.
The ferret looks very ferret-like here. I think I could really like that look for them.
Bailey is really great, though I find it funny that she's grown and King has shrunk
Fox probably looks a little better to me in the sketch with Bailey than the one with Bino. His head fills out his body more; it has more substance. Though, in that one the legs seem to lack substance. So, I can see why you posted him again.

I will now wait to see what you are going to do. I have trusted you thus far through rain and snow and cosmic games, and enjoyed ever minute of it. I see every reason to expect to love the new style. (and I'll get used to the parts I'm less keen on)

I read it in 7th grade. With my class of course.

And now that you say it, I can relate Max to that story.

I love the new designs, Max looks great and King is so adorable.

To me, all of them have a nice improve. I have to say that Max is the one I like more among all these. He looks more fierce, more manly, more dangerous. I totally approve it!

Sasha is great, though to me she remind me more to a Japanese otaku girl with that haircut

The new style for the ferrets is one of the best improves. Their new appearance is more realistic now.

King looks more childish but maybe it's just a facial expression.

I like what you did with Fox and Bino, to me it was necessary a change like this. Now we have pudgy and skinny characters among the pets when till now, without any differences in weight, they all looked too similar and at the same time seemed suspiciously healthy. This gives more variety to the comic.
