Words... Sometimes, words are all it takes.

Words can be sharp. They can cut just about anything down, including one's own insecurities, apparently. :)

Oh crap, I forgot that there was a silver dog named Rex...

Sorry, this isn't the same Rex as there is in the comic. I did state that the bars held in kittens, and made no mention of a puppy... Sorry that I caused confusion like that. I'll explain it later, don't want to give away the story before it even started ;)

Interesting.... Can we give any criticisms here if we want? Constructive, of course...

You forgot the TV.

Rex and Princess, how very regal!

bleh, sorry about that earlier one. Sometimes, I just have an hour or two in the day where my brain fails to work properly.

Yes, I do take constructive criticisms. Considering that "torching" (the act of creating unnecessarily harsh critiques that do nothing but insult the artist) someone's work is looked down upon (and as far as I know a bannable offense) there really is no reason to not do so! |D

I don't really see any reason why I shouldn't add in the TV other than the fact that it doesn't serve any purpose in the story at this point.

Yes, but names change soon. Be ready for revelation

Hmm, so pets can work as bellhops. Okies! Sounds reasonable.

Seems Horace might need a facelift... any takers?

What happened to Peanut? He is not that heavy a sleeper, Grape is...

So I've been thinking. And feeling. And I've made a decision regarding this fanfic.

I've decided that I'm converting this to a fancomic, for two reasons.

1. My writing has always been said to be awesome, and great, and such. But when I decided to show off what I THOUGHT I was capable of, I realized that I'm not good at all. Writing is no longer a pastime, it's a stressor. I've been looking to write professionally. But that wouldn't happen. I'd look at my newest chapter and I'd find a million problems with it. Worse, I wouldn't know how to fix them. I'd tear my mind to shreds trying to find a solution but nothing comes up. I know that the only way to improve is to keep trying, but it's just a drain to be doing this all the time and then finding MORE problems later! I've also noticed that I'm taking criticism too personally- I can safely assume that I'm becoming so attached to this story that when I mess up and someone else catches it before me... I feel that I failed it even more than I would if I found it myself.

2. I've been looking into improving my drawing skills, so that I may start opening commissions and raising money, and this seems to be the best way to do it. I have an idea in my head, and I guess my main advantage is that I think in pictures in the first place, so it'd be easier to put those ideas in pictures than it would be to put them in words.

So yeah. This is no longer going to be a fanfic. I'm just tired of trying to describe something that I don't have the skill to describe. And such.

Also, you are now free to flame me for being all dumbz and such.

If that is your wish, then so shall it be.

No!

You really should try to continue, you just have to be les descriptive on the tiny details. Even I feel reluctant to telling you not to draw a webcomic, but reading is really good for the mind. It makes it excersise and try to visualize and translate abstract and written concepsts into images and tangible situation. You shouldn't leave the writting, on the contary, you should continue it. You should get back to the first version of Fireman, where Grape was visiting Stoneman and they were flirting and all of that.

I thank you for the advice, but the decision stands.

The reason I restarted in the first place was because I looked at Version 1 and realized that it looked more like wish fulfillment than a story... and when I started this I wanted a story. I can tell you that Version 3 will, at a few points, become more like Version 1... but Version 1 as a whole is not coming back, and I think that it's better that way.

Nooooo! Reboots and retcons are the work of the devil, they must be cleansed of evil!

But if you are still convinced of doing a webcomic, it better be of Romantically Apocaliptic quality or superior, if such a thing is possible. Otherwise, I'll get very sad.
