Photoshopping Housepets!
Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
Yeah, it looks like he used Max for Peanut and Bino for Grape.
Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
I used Max as the base, (Mostly becuase I didn't want it to just be a recolor, but I ended up useing Grape's ears/nose for Peanut's face.) The whole process was kinda weird, because at one point they had several other people's features stacked on top.Buster wrote:Just curious, did you use max as a base there?
I ask because he's the only character i can recall having a set of 'visible ribcage' lines on his chest, and even then it's not common.
Someone get that cat some snackfood.

There's still some thing to fix, like the paw pads color to leave in pink, but very nice idea and realization.
Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
That's actually pretty dang impressive!
Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
Ah, I didn't notice that. Thanks for the positive feedback, Cesco and D-Rock!Cesco wrote:There's still some thing to fix, like the paw pads color to leave in pink, but very nice idea and realization.

It's very nice for a first try! Wonderful job on it!

There are those who know exactly why.

Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
Really great job on the strip D-Rock! I think it came out really nice!
Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
I meant to do this after Gryphon Max, but only just now got to it.
Presenting Dragon-form Tarot!
Decided against changing the symbol on her chest out of not being able to find a usable collar/laziness. Also used her "mask" color for the horns and spines.
By the way, any other recolor ideas? These are fun to play around with!

Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
That actually looks really nicely done! Great job on it! Looks very natural!
Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
Thanks, you two
I've been thinking of doing one for Kitsune, too, but I hit two snags; he's one solid color, so that'll be a challenge to overcome, and I don't know who's color to give him, though I am considering Peanut (no rhyme or reason for that, really).
I'm open to ideas, and for other palette swaps, not just the demi-gods.

Ask, and ye shall receive!
So, yeah, his main body being a single color forced me to use the brush tool with care. Not too bad, in the end. Also, unlike Griffon Max, all I did to the collar was clean it up and flip it. Max's had to be resized and rotated.
I found this surprisingly good.
Side note, I considered Griffon Grape, but it looked horrible when I was nearly done. I may try again.

Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
I was about to say maybe you should do King Kitsune, but that looks great!
Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
King Kitsune? Not a bad idea, I'll keep that in mind.
Also, crazy idea, but Saturn, Star, Chaoko, Kitsune, anyone else who was interested, how about these recolors be the alternate palettes for the Celestials in the Housepet Fighting Game?
Yes, it's my mind jumping the gun ultra early, but putting the idea out there.

you'd have to shorten the tails a bit, I imagine even magic would leave corgsune tails smaller than those of a canadian pointer mixsuneD-Rock wrote:King Kitsune? Not a bad idea, I'll keep that in mind.

Oddly enough, this was tougher. King has an interesting coat pattern, so I did my best to recreate it.
King looks surprisingly good as a kitsune, though I'm sure I wouldn't want someone like him to have all of that power.

Nice job once again, D-Rock.
Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
Thanks! I'll get to Gryphon Grape some other time.
But anymore ideas I could use? Doesn't even have to be on a celestial.

Heh, well you doing a great job with the celestials though... Well, for some reason I always love giving ideas without doing them, so if want some ideas...D-Rock wrote:But anymore ideas I could use?
How about a Fox Simon... Or a Rufus Keene... Or a King Grape... Maybe even a Miles Mr. Bigglesworth...
Just some ideas, maybe someone will come up with something better.

Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
I just realized that I need to set up the suggestion guidelines for my own sanity.
First name is who is the base. Second name is the color scheme used.
So;
Fox with Simon's colors.
Rufus with Keene's colors.
King with Grape's colors.
Miles with a Bigglesworth's colors.
Is that correct?
Anyway, next hard part is getting a good image to use.

Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
I don't think King would mind having Kitsune's powers because he could take revenge on Pete and Dragon since he is more powerful!
Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
And that's why I don't think it's wise to give him those powers. Pete and Dragon already proved irresponsible with that, don't think we want a hot-headed mortal with that as well.
Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
I don't think it was stated that Kitsune was stronger than them, just that he had authority over them because he was the DM. If they didn't listen to him they would without a doubt be breaking the rules.Amazee Dayzee wrote:I don't think King would mind having Kitsune's powers because he could take revenge on Pete and Dragon since he is more powerful!

Karishad. Kitsune.
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
Yeah, that's correct, I was only saying those for idea's though, so I was actually saying for both ways, but if you are going with that I would say yes to all but reverse the Rufus Keene one, I was saying Keene with Rufus's colors... Sorry for making you go insane.D-Rock wrote:I just realized that I need to set up the suggestion guidelines for my own sanity.

It gives a weird effect see a King-like character with so many tails. Nice work and ideas.

I guess you are right. I just thought he was stronger because he was always in control. Though now that I think about it, that is what a DM DOES.SuperStar wrote:I don't think it was stated that Kitsune was stronger than them, just that he had authority over them because he was the DM. Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
Do more of these when I'm not exhausted from work. Not too bad here, better than my last attempt, for some reason. Wonder how it would turn out of both Max and Grape had a griffin form and went on a date as such.
And I'm liking the suggestions, although...
I'm just joking. Simple, but interesting to see how that would turn out.
EDIT: Carp! Forgot the collar! Eh, fix it some other time.

Still looks very nice D-Rock! The only think is the white feathers just look like you forgot to color them in. Though I know that you had no control over that.
Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
...uh, what white feathers? White is applied to the lion body, beak, arms, and inside of the ears.

Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
Those are what I meant. I know you can't help it, but aside from the ears, they just look like you forgot to color them in.
Re: Photoshopping Housepets!
Ah, I see. In that case, blame Grape's color scheme and palette.
