If that were true there would be a daisy and tiger pairing, with a rival daisy and fox pairing just to add drama to the forums.

To be fair, there's some logic to Shyanne's pairings. Max and Sabrina used to date, whereas Max and Tarot would get them both out of the way for Grapenut supporters. That one I still think is silly, because there's no reason to think Max and Tarot are even into each others' species, but it's not completely outlandish like Fox and Daisy.

That's why there's the trope "Die for our Ship", where two conflicting ships clash with one another.

It actually refers to a side effect of that, which is demonizing a character simply because they are in the way of a ship one supports. So I would be exemplifying it if I tried to make Max out to be a huge jerk.
