Just discovered this thread. I don't know much about making custom signature banners myself, and an idea came to me for a request. I don't know everyone here well enough to request a specific artist, just whoever can do this.

I think I'd like one of Fox and King hugging (from the last page of "It's a Wonderful Dog's Life") with the caption "Happiness is a warm puppy."

In fact, maybe it could say "Happiness...." to the left of the picture of the characters, and "...is a warm puppy" on the right? Just throwing out suggestions....

Seems easy enough, would you like to use any of the blank backgrounds a few posts up?

I kind of like the "furry" texture of this one, but could I have it in a more yellowish-type color? Something bright and sunny?

That might work. It's not quite as bright as I was thinking at first--I was trying to think of something that would complement the words, "Happiness is a warm puppy"--but I'm trying to imagine it with the characters and text in it.

If the characters and the text are superimposed over that, it might work fine at that level of brightness (don't want the background to OVER-power the characters and text, after all, right? ).

Anyway, thanks! Can't wait to see the finished banner!

I don't either, and anyway I don't have a problem with the black parts. I don't even have a problem with the yellow parts, I just was thinking of something a little brighter until I thought it over again and reminded myself that the characters and text need to be what dominates in the banner, not the background.

Either way, I'll see for myself when they've been added.

Awww....

Well, the only thing I can think of that I'd want changed is the color of the letters--maybe something more bluish, for contrast? Not too dark, but sky blue might be too bright, and might make it hard to see what they're spelling out....

But otherwise I like it, thanks!

Hmm.... Maybe just a LITTLE brighter--unless you tried that and it didn't work? As it stands it looks similarly dim to the background and a little overshadowed by the characters....

Otherwise, I like the color! Definitely getting there, thank you very much!

I actually really liked the orange color, but that's just my opinion.

A little of both, actually. It's VERY close to what I want, but I just wanted to see a version with letters that are just a little brighter (comparable to the characters rather than the background as it is currently), to see if I think that would look better.

Either way, though, I feel confident that if you show me a version with brighter text, I'll then sig ONE version of it--either that one or (if I decide the brighter text doesn't look better) the last one you've already done. Thanks very much again!

If you can draw something similar to what you need, with paint or any other program - I can try to do your request.

The "tag" here is the identification you have on a pets collar with their information and such. In Housepets, "tag" would be the symbols, like grape's orange fish.

If Rick, as administrator, would say "that's ok, it doesn't matter, that this sig is bigger than allowed with the rules" - sure, feel free to use it. (But I have some doubts about Alex leaving such funny siggi to enyone else...)

If Rick would say "Yes" - we will surely have a vawe of "hey-look-i'm-getting-outside-this-siggi" signatures...

I actually don't think it's Rick's decision as to what size the banner can be, but the programming code. So even if Rick said that, I don't think it would matter.
