Yeah. At least my phone doesn't bluescreen within minutes of starting up. So I was able to read threw the comics when I discovered them.

Ok, two things.

1. why is this thread "Tales" and not "Tails"?

2. I was reading the developers thread and I found the halloween demo, HELP. I am lost just after visiting Tarot. I tried Peanuts house, Forest, and attempted to gain access into the house at bottom oft the map. please tell me what I am doing wrong.


One last thing, I love that you guys are making this and I cant wait for the full version!

1. I'm sure it's much more instinctual to write "Tales" in the context it was used in as opposed to the chosen "Tails."

2. Well, you are supposed to head back to where the Sandwich house used to be. Interact with the giant hole after Peanut questions where the house went, and you'll jump in. Do note, save right before going in, and hold the Shift key to get ready to run. It's a chase sequence.

wait there's a thing involving a house going missing? on the only demo download I can find (the one here) it ends after Grape says 'Or was it?' when Tarot pulls a fast one on Peanut and Grape after you kill the Gargoyle

I have a question: I was looking through the BGM files and I noticed there were some labelled Battle1, Battle2, Battle3 but when I played the demo, none of those songs popped up as battle themes. Are those songs that will be exclusive to the final product whenever it gets released? I absolutely LOVE Battle1 compared to the actual battle theme in the demo.

Also, where are the sprites for Zach and Tiger? And who is "Dark Joey"?

Is Maxwell recruitable for the 4th party member slot in the demo or is it just a party of Peanut, Grape and Tarot? I mean, I cleared the demo just fine but it would be interesting to see what other characters are capable of. I saw a video on Youtube where Maxwell was tagging along in the party.

Sorry for the wait, but no, Max is not recruitable in this version of the demo. There was an "Alpha" build of the game that included Max, but that was from a time before we had most of the sprites and portraits. That version used mostly what was available in the Vanilla version of RPG Maker.

Those videos are of test builds that show off some of the features that would be implemented.

I think I recall that being considered, but no, one was not made. At the moment, all the treasure chests contain are healing items. We do hope to encourage exploration. Also consider that future updates to the maps are done. Life has been occurring for the people actually assembling the game, though, so things are running at a snails pace, at best.

Is there a level cap in the demo or can I level Peanut, Grape and Tarot until their full potential and learn all their moves provided I do enough grinding?

Well, there is no cap, so grind away. Though the boss is pretty easy once you reach maybe level 12.

By the way, I'm curious about what all the other characters battle dialogue is.

So far, I've seen:

Character Beats Enemy:
Peanut: That was actually pretty cool!
Grape: In YO Face!
Tarot: Just as I foresaw it.

Treasure chest found:
Peanut: Huh? What is this? Food, not food?
Grape: Oh boy, more junk...
Tarot: In other dimensions, looting monsters was banned.

Level up:
Peanut: Alright! One step closer to Spot!
Grape: At least it'll speed things up, right?
Tarot: Nothing beats on-field experience!

What are the battle quotes for the other characters? (King, Fox, Bailey, Maxwell, Bino, Joey, Sasha, Zach, Tiger, etc.) Have they been written yet?

I want to say that some have been written for other characters, but they're only in the Tower Playground build as of this moment, which has Sabrina, Fox, King, Fido, Bino, and Bailey available at different points, and due to programming errors, I don't think Bono and Fox have access to their weapons.

Just found some sort of glitch/bug with the demo: When I exited the cave after some exploring, I wound up in the first forest screen instead of the grove area. I talked to Falstaff and he just told me to "Move along". When I proceeded to the second forest screen, I was greeted to a pitch black screen where I couldn't move my party members so I pretty much locked myself out of progressing further in the game.

ATTENTION:

It should be apparent that the project is nearly at a standstill. We’re chipping away at what needs to be done, but with such a small team, especially one where most have various other responsibilities, things won’t be progressing as quickly as we want.
This is why we’re soliciting for new team members to hopefully make things go more smoothly.
We are currently in need of sprite artists, battler artists, tile makers, sound/music designers and possibly writers.
For all sprite resources, we do already have a sprite style set in place.
Battler images, which are used for enemy encounters, are as close to the comic style as we can manage.
With music, we're going with a house-style, but speak with the others on managing this.
We do have the outline of the story pieces in place, though help in fluffing it out with character dialogue would be appreciated.

If you’d like to inquire about possibly joining the team, ask SuperStar, CHAOKOCartoons, GameCobra, or I.
