Sounds like Inception. I cannot say whether or not it is like Inception, since I have never seen that film, but it sounds like it.

I did once, but the voice didn't quite stick in my head. I haven't decided on a good voice for Honey yet.
though revisiting it again, I do think I can still see Hynden Walch, just as Princess Bubblegum instead of Starfire

Geeze, Honey needs a confidante! Find a friend! Also, she doesn't feel comfortable talking to any guy who has a girlfriend?

Maybe just not as something like a confidant. Even if it's strictly as friends it might look too close.

That's about it, right there. But not just that it might look too close as that she doesn't want to take him away from his girlfriend if she needs someone to talk to, even if arguably she's more in need than his girlfriend is at any given moment. She believes that his girlfriend should come first--if he were actually Honey's boyfriend it would be different, and if he doesn't have a girlfriend there's no problem.

Rupert is just adorabobble and he'll make a fine boyfriend!

I find the next two chapters oddly irrelevant from the first, but I think the story would end with Honey dreaming again with a better outcome in mind.

Fascinating, Rupert does seem to be like Beast Boy. Even BB has his nerdy moment.

And Vanilla's not going to do that. Even if she were interested, she would prefer it that he initiated things.

Ally McBeal is the main character of the namesake series -a woman with a serious, serious case of self-confidence, with a good friend who, just like Honey, keeps trying to help Ally into getting a life, more confidence, etc...and failing miserably 8 times out of 10. Vanilla reminds me a lot of Ally.

And I'm sure that if Vanilla was drugged into a coma and her limbs were pulled like a puppet and Honey threw her voice, then she could sucessfuly ask Rupert out for a date
