I don't know what preview images you've been looking at, but it's pretty darn close! A bit more anime-esque, maybe, but a good approximation in any case.

now that you make me look back, i realize that all the previews are dogs. I thought they were cats -_-

HP hardly has a "style" to be honest, it's just anthropomorphic animals that wear collars and are pets. This to me seems like yet another generic furry comic.

Um... Just by the by, this comic is quite inextricably tied to the Housepets world. It's like the other half of Housepets. Or perhaps the other side. So it's not just an entirely separate comic, even though it looks that way.
Now how much that tie-in will show up in this fan comic, I don't know since I'm not the creator

Let's put it this way... even i don't know how to define H1X.
I didn't wanted to make a "regular" fanfic or fancomic, i wanted to do something original and different to HP. I wanted to do something similar to mangas, with an "epic" storyline, more serious (humor's still in, don't worry about that), borrowing HP universe and some characters from time to time. So it actually is a fancomic i guess, but in the same time it isn't.
Sorta As i said, i don't know how i can describe it.

It is exactly as you said.
In future it'll be more clear anyway, for now it's difficult to talk about it.
