"Cut it out!"

He was nibbling upon the tips of her triangular ears, causing them to twitch and swivel every which way. She could do little more than squirm in his grasp, trying to stifle the soft, mewling sounds that escaped her lips.

"I said cut it out!" she giggled, helplessly. "What are you doing back there, anyway?"

She could feel the touch of his teeth as he gently nipped at her skin, and the warmth of his breath as it washed across her fur. "Checking for fleas," came his playful growl.

"The only one with fleas here is you," she retorted, trying her best to sound stern, although that was very difficult when she had to bite down upon her lip to keep from laughing. "Oh, would you knock it off?"

He drew his head back, just a little. "What's the matter?" he mused. "You don't like it?"

She tilted her head back to look at him, upside-down, a fanged smirk upon her lips. "You know I do," she replied, "but the neighbors will see us..."

He gave a soft, dismissive snort of breath. "Let them," he murmured, lightly running his paws along her sides. "I don't care."

That only caused her to squirm more vigorously within his embrace, leaning back against his chest, placing her hands upon his own in a vain attempt to make them still. "Quit it!" she said, sharply, although her giggling made it impossible to sound threatening. "You know I'm ticklish!"

"Oh?" he asked, speaking in an amused tone. "Does that mean you prefer the zerberts instead?"

Before she even had a chance to reply, he bowed his head forward, pressed his lips against her neck, just beneath the edge of her collar, and PPPPPPHHHHHHBBBBBBBTTTTTT.

"Peanut!" she squealed. "Peanut, stop it! Stop it! Bad dog!" The purple cat writhed and thrashed about like a snake in his arms, laughing and crying and unable to stop doing either. "Oh, I'll kill you!", she gasped, "I'll kill you, I swear I will!"

At last, she managed to wriggle free of his clutches, leaping away from the porch to escape to the safety of a nearby fencepost. She leaned heavily upon it, still panting for breath, and looked at him with accusing, narrowed eyes, her ears splayed back. "You are... impossible!" she gasped.

He merely leaned back where he sat, bracing his paws against the deck of the porch, a wry smile upon his face. "Would you have me any other way?" he asked.

She flashed him a grin that was mischievous in its own right. "No," she said, "I wouldn't."

He stood up and reached toward her with an outstretched hand, but she easily ducked away from him.

"Aw, c'mon," he said, "I was only playing around."

"I know," she said, still grinning slyly at him, "but if you want me, then you're gonna have to catch me."

"Is that right?" he asked. "And just what makes you think I can't?"

She bounced easily from one foot to the other, hopping and dancing around the post, swinging from it with one arm, moving with all the agility of a prizefighter, her tail quickly swishing about behind her. "Bino and the other dogs never could," she sighed in lament. "They were always too slow. I'm sure that you're no different."

The edges of his muzzle turned upward in a grin. "That sounds like a dare," he said.

"Maybe it is," she said, her fangs peeking out over her lip again as she smiled at him. She leaned in close to him, so close that he could feel her whiskers brush against his cheek, and whispered, "Come on, boy... fetch."

She took off like a shot, a blur of violet moving against the verdant green grass of the yard. He was at her heels, both of them running and laughing and calling out to each other, every one of their rowdy, boisterous shouts another way of saying "I love you".

Gosh, I really don't know what to say... but I loved this one especially .

Well, I'm a terrible, terrible sucker for Grape/Peanut (as I'm sure people can tell), but you've already drawn them several times already. Besides, I think it's kind of a lousy thing to do to tell artists what to draw; it rather defeats the point of being creative. I know I get annoyed when people start telling me what I should be writing (and yes, this has happened).

Two_Twig, I'm going to ask you something...

You draw something not related to housepets?

Indeed, creativity is best kept free. Your stories are great though, I'd almost feel guilty if you spent all that time writing from my pictures and I didn't return the favor in some way

Are you asking if I will or have? If the latter, than sure, all the time, only I don't upload them to the computer. I have my own projects to deal with in real life, but when ever I get some spare time I do some mad doodling

@ Alex: I feel that quoting a picture is a waste of space and extremely annoying to those with 15" monitors, and I also feel that I shouldn't need to explain context every time. The exception is if the the joke is supremely funny; you play the line too straight for this one. Needs moar exaggeration. Or perhaps italics.

EDIT: The picture isn't badly drawn, I definitely couldn't do it better (but don't flatter yourself- I am the worst artist in our school). The only major mistake is that Peanut has 2 right cheeks.
