Love the King and Fox comic and the Sasha and King art. especially the Sasha/King art =P

and man, Romeo and Juliet. I just didn't like the book as much as MacBeth, but dueling was nice. if only i could do a duel act at school @_@

Personally I'd rather try imitating a female voice without resorting to falsetto, so that it sounds real. I didn't do that for Grape but there was a reason for that.

No, I got that. But my previous statement still stands. It's more challenging and it sounds nicer.

Anyway, what did you think of the picture?

At the expense of being ridiculously funny, you mean

I would rather not have a convincing female voice, wig and outfit personally... can't speak for Rick but I'd be inclined to say he wouldn't either.

Nice drawing, the shirt caught me by surprise .
Though, I've never known a scanner that works that well. Mine would usually leave ugly marks all over the image.

Don't be so sure, this is the only drawing, my scanner scanned that well. Look at other of my artworks - if you watch at fullsize view - you'll see those distracting little cubes all over the edges))

That's why I always recommend to those who are passionate about art to invest in a tablet.
Doesn't have to be a really expensive one with lots of features, they all work well.
Programs like Autodesk Sketchbook and Corel Painter Sketch Pad offer lots of tools to aid the dedicated artist.

Here's a line of Wacom's cheaper, yet still good, tablets:

EDIT: In regards to the post below: We can discuss it over Private Messaging (over the forums) if you want. It would probably be better not to clutter this topic with the discussion.

Esquire Fox,
Yeah, I know that using a tablet is much easier(and usefull) than traditional pen and paper.
I'm now thinking on two questions:
1. What tablet do I need?
2. How much money can I spend for a tablet?

I'm using a Medion A4 tablet , but i can't seem to find the official drivers (if there are any)
so i got no pen pressure.

Aldo, you cant use your pen tablet while your at work/school or traveling.

i would be inclined to say that the exact opposite is true

but that's just an opinion, isn't it?

prices range from thirty bucks on boxing day sales in canada (heeheehee!) to hundreds

i wouldn't be surprised if there are ones that reach the thousands but i would hope you aren't seriously considering one of those for your first. or ever.

Think you sort of missed the point there. It is just a tool to aid you.
It still does nothing without input and you're still the one behind every drawing.
Now unless you want to make a tablet discussion thread, I think we should drop it since this thread is for fanart ;).

EDIT: Regarding the comment below, I can agree with that =P

The simplest way is to look just below the posting field on the reply page for the part that says "Filename". Click the Browse button, find the picture where it's located on your computer, click "Add the File", and then click Submit. This will attach the picture to your post.

Also, if possible, I would recommend using whatever program you use to draw to try and convert the picture to a format other than .BMP, like .PNG or .JPG; raw bitmaps tend to be pretty large, and may take a while to upload (and for other people to download).

I need to try more freehand traces myself. It's good for practicing steady hands and still life. It would be great for practicing with the tablet, actually...that's a good idea...

Aw, tracing is no fun.
Being original is more rewarding, both in learning and in the final product.
A traced image isn't near as presentable. Most if not all of us have already seen that image on the cast page.

Also, beware the deadly JPEG compression. Use PNG for artwork and JPEG for photos only.
Lest your image end up looking like an 8 bit video game.
