Now is the part where I introduce Ginger though it seems you people don't give a rat about my characters anyhow. I'll just keep it simple:

Description: Henry's girlfriend. She is religious, but is compassionate towards him and is willing to settle their differences. In fact, their differences were the reason they got together.

We DO give a rat about your characters. But don't expect our characters to come running to you. We're doing our own stories, intertwined with each other. So far, you've been doing what seems like intro posts. None of us that are in an active story can put our story on hold to go to you to interact. Instead, you'll need to come to us.

Also, Glory (Djinn's character) took note of Henry pulling in his car (or something like that) which could have been an opportunity to interact...though, given your character, it might have been hard to force an interaction there. *shugs*

In the meantime, your characters don't exist to the other characters because the other characters don't really know he's there! Also...if you visited and posted in the RP more often, then we'll be more inclined to interact. I know life gets busy, but I think people are wary about RP'ing with people who could possibly leave in the middle of a story. That's my opinion. Do what you will with it...

If I am correct then I can make one more character to make a max of three, can I not?
Unless of course someone has change the rules to where we can only have two each. If not so then I have another canine character in mind.(Note- almost all of my RolePlay characters are canine. I have nothing against cats. I just like canines better is all.)

You can have two main characters, i.e. two characters that you RP or play constantly.

Any other characters are minor or guest characters.

Minor characters don't impact the stories that are going on in significant ways (they're kinda just there, though they can occasionally do something in a story...but they can't be a major part of the story)

And Guest characters, which are only there for one or a specific story. (I've only seen this happen once thus far, with Alex using a character called Gary.)

Neighborhoods List:
The currently active neighborhoods. Each can have a maximum amount of 15 players, with up to two main characters each. This is to avoid overpopulation and confusion! There are some exceptions to this: If the player had three characters before the rule was made, they may keep those characters. If the original RP’ers from Richardson Valley (so the original Pet Friendly-In Character) ever come back, they are welcome to join any neighborhood, at any time, regardless of captivity.

Minor characters are characters that don’t actively effect stories or inject their backstories into the story. More or less, they’re just “there” to occasionally move the story along as a tertiary character. Guest characters are full characters that may only be around for a single story. If an owner is important to the pet's background, they may occasionally be played as well.

A slot does not mean it is taken forever. If a player quits, or becomes inactive with no sign of return, then the slot will open. Note that the longer you are in the RP, the more likely you will be given more time before the slot is opened up again. But you should also keep this in mind: “The show must go on.”

At the moment, we would prefer that most newcomers join the Radiant Gardens Neighborhood. At the moment, there are a number of outstanding players that might come back to RV, so I’d like to keep those slots open if possible…in fact, they might be invite only at the time being. We’ll see as things move on.

Sorry I've been away for so long, my comp caught a nasty little virus that was quite a pain to get rid of... essentially, it prevented me from accessing the internet, then prevented me from running any executable files... <_<

So I am deeply and sincerely sorry to those whom I have made wait. Trust me, I'm not happy about it, either. Not only that, I have dozens upon dozens of pages of forums to catch up with ;_;

I pray that my RP character isn’t becoming as invisible as I am in real life. I have already made a few out of character mistakes, and I hope I’m not making another by just making my posts too long.

How do you act out of character when still developing a character? I've found that writing a character, after setting a base, of course, is the easiest way to find out about them. Allowing some breathing room isn't a bad idea!

To explain what I mean: Venison started out as a stray. Just a stray. Who ran away from home. Who was very smart, and very fast. That was the extent of things...but as I kept writing and RP'ing...he developed a backstory, personality, and relationships with other characters that I never saw coming at all.

Generally, longer posts are better...as long as they have character in them. The more you do or explain, the better we see your character's personality, and the better others can react...IF they care to try!

If you want to keep your character in the...(NO! I am not going to make that mistake again!) If you want to keep your character in the action, then make sure he interacts with the other characters and builds relationships with them.

Oh. Most important thing I missed.

Post often. Once a day, if you've got the time, is the best, though if you can do even more, that's better!

I’m probably just thinking WAY too far ahead. I have no real experience RPing so I’m not used to gradual character development.

As for how often I post, I should have no problem doing more than one a day. I just need to check this forum more often.

Hehe, I just realized that I'm trying to speak like an expert. I'm not one, I'm far from it. This is my first RP. So...I'd say go with what works best for you. After all, it's a game, and the point is to have fun building a massive story with others.

But yeah, do check back often, even if you don't post. This allows you to stay caught up with the story so you can jump in when you have time again.

Species: Siberian Husky

Age: 19 years old.

Gang: None.

-Appearance-
A very beautiful Siberian Husky with a typical mixture of black and white fur coloration. Wears a collar with a star on it.

-Personality-
A charmer in all senses, trained particularly for assignments. She is able to manipulate certain pets effectively due to her charming looks. When someone gets on her nerves, she would give him her piece of mind.

-Other Notes-

-Part of the special ops which worked with Marshall's team on a specific location.
-Ex-filtrated from her area of operations due to increased risks.
-Trained in Martial Arts due to her strength and as a secondary line of defense, the first being her charm.

My second character

I'm kind of interested in playing here, especially in Radiant Gardens since there are so many empty spaces, but I'll have to wait until I've read through it before I post in it (want to make sure I know what I'm doing and I might add to or change one or both of my bios based on any new information I get). Anyway, here are a couple of bios:

Name: Honey Cake (first name Honey, last name Cake)

Species: Collie dog

Age: Not quite six years old (the equivalent of a young adult)

Gang: None as yet.

Appearance: Honey is a long-haired breed, and usually wears her hair back in a ponytail. She wears a blue collar with a tag shaped like a beehive, and she usually wears sunglasses although she doesn't let them cover her eyes. Often wears a purple sweater with gold trim (and the letter H on it) and occasionally a matching skirt.

Personality: Honey is very friendly and at a first impression appears more childlike and naive (not to say foolish) than she really is. Part of this is due to the fact that she doesn't get weighed down in convention--she's not the contrary "no one tells me what to do" sort, nor is she completely apathetic to rules, but she's not afraid to defy rules and traditions that she thinks are silly, which she usually does by acting as though she doesn't know they exist, rather than drawing attention to them.

Other Notes: Honey lives with her younger sister (not related by blood), Vanilla Cake. Honey thinks Vanilla worries too much about what others think and does her best to try to find opportunities for her sister to have some fun once in awhile, and get some laughs. Honey is concerned for her sister's sake and wants to help as best she can.

Name: Vanilla Cake

Species: Shetland Sheepdog

Age: four years old (the equivalent of a young teenager)

Gang: None--and if she has her way it'll stay that way. She isn't into "gangs" (or at least not calling them that).

Appearance: Vanilla is a short-haired breed and looks somewhat masculine (although her personality doesn't quite match this). Her collar is red and her tag looks like a vanilla ice cream cone. When outdoors (which is usually only when necessary) she wears a green jacket with a hood that contributes to a look resembling that of a sullen teenage boy.

Personality: Outwardly Vanilla acts snobbish, even to the point of being slightly elitist, but this masks an insecurity. She fears that others won't like her and so puts on airs and only associates with others who act the same way, since she reasons they're the "best of the best" and thus if they'll accept her she'll be worthwhile. She's obsessed with the way things are "done" and does a lot of reading into traditions and conventions so as to make herself an expert. The only way in which she doesn't seem to follow through on that is in her appearance, the latter of which is primarily for comfort. Rather than being shy and quiet she'll very audibly turn her nose up at things to others and mention things she thinks no one will know about.

Other Notes: Vanilla lives with her older sister Honey, and is often embarrassed by her sister, not to say ashamed of her. Vanilla usually resists Honey's attempts to get her to socialize, although the truth is that Vanilla wants to make friends but needs to be dragged into it kicking and screaming. She had a best friend before the Cake family moved into the neighborhood and now she doesn't know anyone and feels insecure. She enjoys the game of chess immensely, although she's not as good at it as she'd like (though she can beat Honey every time). She's an avid fan of the Alice books and Stanley Kubrick films.

Erhm, Chewy, (I love calling you that by the way) You really don't have to read the entirety of the archives. it just takes a while and you don't have to.

I mean you can if you want but my suggestion is to jump in now, if you don't know what's going on that will reflect in your characters. because they don't know what's going on either. So I suggest to you that if you want to read the archives go ahead, but I say jump in right now.

Okay, if you're sure. I just have had a bit of bad luck with RPGs before because I'm better at reacting than I am at taking initiative, and I want to work past that. At the very least I want to be sure I know who's where (unless of course that proves unnecessary because the characters notice mine and they take the first step....).
