This should be interesting though, what with considering you write both Rikki and Bora, valerio!

I... guess? I mean, if you want to know what's been going on... There's a quick summary a few posts earlier in this thread by Aquablast and Yours Truly, but that doesn't really cover half of what happened.

Valerio, what you have to realize of course is that SP tends to go through these phases... Sometimes it'll be really fast, and others, just slower than molasses in an igloo.. This is a fast phase

Since a big bulk of what's happened is me and valerio's doing, I'll summarize our RP:

Darien is a journalistically inclined belgian shepherd, who moved into the neighborhood recently. His Dad is a firefighter, now working at Sunset Plateau's fire station. Valiant and Rikki are Italian police pets (Italian wolfdog and ferret), who moved here after Valiant was kidnapped by mafia goons and his arm was cut off. He received an advanced prosthetic arm, but was forced to retire, so along with their parents, Elio and Maria, two retired public servants whom Valiant once saved, they moved to America. Darien met the two of them while taking a walk, and after a few initial conversational landmines, he was invited back to the Leone's. Valiant was quite closed up at first, but Darien managed to get him to open up, and he told the story of how he got his cybernetic arm, in return Darien told the story of his leg was injured when he was a puppy and the two of them became friends. Thanks to Rikki's meddling, Valiant admitted he was gay, and to everyone's surprise so did Darien. They agreed that instead of rushing things, they'll wait and see if their relationship develops into something more than friends. Rikki left the house on her own to leave her two friends the chance to get to know each other, and she went to the forest to check out the abandoned Pecan chapel. However, before she got there, she was attacked be Bora, valerio's feral hawk character, and Valiant had to run to her rescue. After they got back home, Valiant fixed a nice dinner for everyone, and right now they're all eating, which reminds me, I should go and post Darien's reaction to the food...

For all the small details though, you really will need to read through the RP thread! Sorry!

Was I the only one thinking it's earlier? I was going by more of a 1-2-3 pm. If it's later, Paige and Khun may have to skip the building for this day.

EDIT: WOAH! Fatal error just showed up! I hit the submit button and for two or three refreshes the forum was reversed!

I'm not really sure where everyone is in time right now. Me and val are around 7-8 pm, so we decided to take a little break until the mall group heads home, so we don't run ahead of everyone else. But it could be earlier for Khun and Paige...

Blueberry commented that he skipped lunch, but it wasn't time for dinner yet, that's why I thought it could be around 4-6 pm for them.

Honestly, I think everyone is on their own pace today as far as time goes.

And the 'Fatal error' may have been a warning telling you I was about to post? :3 Nah, I kid.

4pm? Okay, that shouldl give enough time for the fall trip then. Khun will just have to grab his guitar. Sorry about posting twice there. I guess I saw stuff moving and thought it was a bit too quick.

And I just saw the error again, just now before posting. I don't know what I did to produce it either.

EDIT: And just as I posted this two. Honestly I don't know what I'm doing.

Hello.
Events recently traspired in my activities in Seabreeze Harbor RPG has led me to understand that I cannot properly play an RPG. I will tend to manipulate characters, give a direction to a game that is supposed to be played by more than one person. Although involuntary, said attitude is dangerous for the gaming AND for the relations with the other gamers.
I immediately resign from Sunset Plateau, giving full control over my characters without conditions or restrictions from my part.
Thank you everyone, it has been fun.

Gah, I haven't been following everything that is going on. But did you give your characters a proper exit yet, Valerio? I think you should at least give your characters a proper exit first, since dealing with a playerless character isn't exactly fun.

Besides no one is complaining here, I think. Why don't you at least stay until you finish the current arc/day or until there is no one interacting with your characters?

give 'em the exit you want. I leave total control, with no objections of sort. I'm just sick with myself, right now, to think of something proper.
Believe me, it's better an awkward moment now, rather than ending up like in SH.

Well, I think you shouldn't be too hasty to leave.

I may not look like it, but I once single-handedly destroyed a RP by being a poor roleplayer. My grammar was terrible at that time and my character lacked personality. However, the DM couldn't kick me out, since I didn't break any rules and I wasn't rude either, but I was still nevertheless a very poor player and I was still dragging down the quality of the game. In the end, the DM decided to shut the game down.

Of course I am not proud of this, but I didn't quit roleplaying either. Because I don't want to stay as a poor roleplayer, I want to improve. That's why ever since then I have been paying attention to my grammar, and I try my best to give my character life. However, this still doesn't mean I am perfect. I am sure I still make grammar mistakes time to time, and my character won't always be interesting.

My point is no one is perfect, Valerio. Everyone makes mistakes all the time. The important thing is to have the will to improve yourself. But if you quit, it is all over. You can't improve if you never participate anymore. It is like a writer trying to improve without writing.

Besides, from what I gathered people still want to play with you! If you need RP advice (like if a post is proper or not), I am always willing to help. And I am sure the others are willing to provide advice too. I may not be the best roleplayer ever, but I always try my best to make everything fun as I try to keep the balance. While I don't always accept what other people say, I am still very willing to discuss techniques and reflect with someone else.

Of course, I understand if you are burned out right now, and it is perfectly okay to take a rest. But it is a real shame if you decided to quit roleplaying over some unintentional mistakes, especially when people still want to play with you.

Look Valerio... whatever happens in Seabreeze Harbor... PLEASE just stay, I already know some of your plans for your character, and I would really like to see them happen. I haven't seen any sort of god-modding or spotlight stealing. Just... look it's really fun RP-ing with you and I don't want to see you leave

While Khun and Paige might get a little into the Chapel, if at all, I thought that the plan was to explore it at length the next day. However, to add a little fun, I thought I could pick a random number (1-100) and have people guess. Then I would pm them and they could work out how to discover it on they're own. That way, I was thinking everyone got a shot a discovering the secret crypt. Would everybody be game for it?
