I could write a book on Sly...mainly because I don't know what he's thinking about a few things. For one, he loves Rendak, although is getting a lot of bad vibes whenever Rendak and Zeke are togeather. He's had a crush on Liz (or does he still have a crush on here find out soon) and he like likes Alexandra (and I believe she likes him...although that's not been reveiled yet). Where does Sly's future lie? Who knows...

And Brill...heh, he loves nobody...hopefully, one day, he will though.

Why has the number of gay/bi pets increased a lot lately?

Bullet kind of like Yukiko. But after seeing Crayon confessed his love to Yukiko, he feels that Crayon has a stronger feeling to Yukiko than he does. Bullet also likes Maple, but not yet a crush.
Blueberry is having a complicated feeling toward Eris. He kind of like Eris, but he is beginning to be aware of what Eris is doing. He isn't sure what to do about Eris' actions.

How come both of my characters are interested in ctc's characters, you ask? I blame the lack of female characters!

I notice that subtle romances which took long periods of time to brew up (such as Venison and Pavelle) have given way to "oh, a female character who I kind of like, let's date!" relationships, and I can only blame the stuff from BsM (like Frank+Enya, Enya+Jacob, and even Sid+Sam) for it. *sigh...* I dunno, it's not a big deal to me: I'm not here for romantic RP, but don't you guys think this is getting a little extreme? I mean, how often does that actually happen, even at the age the pets are supposed to mimic? I mean, Frank, Sid, and Enya (who have rockstar-personalities) are the only characters I can see as suddenly grabbing the first acceptable person they can find and immediately going out with them until they finally get tired of it and let it go... I don't see how everyone in the universe can be doing this without some serious meltdown occurring (aka drama and plotholes).... Then again, I also don't see how it makes sense in the first place.

No, I see it too. Because of this, I'm actually planning on having the first breakup (that I know of) in Pet Friendly during the next timeskip in Radiant Gardens.

Maybe. I guess after a few gay characters (Erin and Terry) have been made, people felt like they were able to make those characters now.

What I am saying, is that compared to the comic, which has a grand total of zero gay characters, we have a lot.

I seem to recall when the forums outside here got a lot furrier. I'm not sure why, but it seemed everyone new was quite furry. The IRC soon got a lot furrier as well soon after...or maybe towards the same time. I'm not saying all furries are gay/bi...but I've notest a trend in that sexuality...and, this could just be the RP section getting a lot furrier as well. But, I don't know. Just my oppinion.

Actually, I think young people do fall in love rather quickly (I know I liked a lot of people when I was younger). Remember the saying, "love in first sight"? Note that falling in love doesn't mean going out right away.

In my opinion, people can't actually go out quickly in real life, because of "obstacles" like: Charisma, social awkwardness, the presence of parents, or simply not accepted by the other person, etc. None of those exists in the RP, except for the last point which Yukiko proved pretty recently. That's the reason why I think people just start going out so suddenly. (The fact that you can plan things through OOC makes it even easier.) If the real life is like our RP, I think it will turn out like this too. (For the younger people, at least.)

Take Grape's relationship with Max for example. She actually asked Max out just because "he is the only male cat she kind of like" and Max probably accepted because Grape is the coolest cat or something. Well, to be fair they don't exactly have a lot of options, but the point is they actually "seek" romance. Wanting romance IS a young person's thing, and I know I went through a phase like that. (And realized how stupid I was, but that's beside the point.)

With that said, yes, I agree that going out after the first day they met is a bit unnatural. I personally only want to keep things natural. Falling in love, seeking out romance, fighting over for someone, being rejected, or breaking up are all a part of life. I won't try to make any of those happen intentionally... Well, okay, I might actually plan ahead. But I definitely only do this for fun, and I will have fun no matter what the outcome is.

It is not like I come here for romance RP either. But if it is available and makes sense, why not? Besides dramas are the only common source of conflict anyway. My characters will try to do everything to avoid it, but I seriously don't mind if they got involved in it.

How do you know? Any one of the characters in any (well-written) story might be gay and it just hasn't come up. Homosexuality isn't something people just randomly announce to the world. Look at Dumbledore: Rowling actually said he's supposed to have had an affair with Grindlewald, even though the book only ever hinted at that and gave no other clue that he was gay. There are pet-friendly characters like this too: if you remember, it was in no way obvious that Sid was pansexual (interested in romance, regardless of the physical) until that conversation about dating a male dog.
