If you can go on IRC frequently (our channel is #BsM) and can keep up with the posting rate then you have my approval. The idea is actually rather interesting, but there will be drawbacks as all the pets are child-like except for the wild animals. SO your character will probably seem strange around the other residents, but i think it'll be fine.

See, joining as you generally defeats the purpose of roleplaying, which is to play as someone, a character, that you are not. It's... a lot like method acting, up to a point. There's also the fact that, since this character will be so close to you, that actions of the people consider to be "just characters" may come off as more personal to you. There's also the temptation of...well, making yourself more powerful or godlike...it just happens, as everyone wants to make themselves the best they can be. Playing as yourself leaves too much room for error...

To further that, I'm not sure how well his personality would mesh with all the others as a human adult.

Eh, not necessarily. He's talking about introducing something like Miles. Bolly would be an adult like Miles, living in a house. He'd be interacting with other "adult" characters like Matt, Jack, and Johnny, who would probably think it was cool to have a wolf for a neighbor. He'd also interact with pets though, which would be like when Rikki interacts with pets: he'd be more like a playful animal.

(I'd like to note that he's calling it his "fursona", which means his attachment to the character and the fact that it's probably used alot outside of ths RP means possible problems.)

This is what I mean. If he's your "fursona", you have a character you've been using to represent yourself for a long time. If Kytes was DarkHearts' "Fursona", how do you think the whole "I'm gonna make you eat dirt!" thing would have made him feel? (even though we agreed on it before hand)
Like I said though, about the human adults, I don't think it'd be a big deal... (especially when this isn't RV, lawl)

Okay, I now wish to join using a character based on my character from OT. Here's a link to his character sheet. He would bring an interesting species mix to BsM, and hopefully a fairly interesting personality as well. I have some experience with roleplaying now, and I will be able to keep up with the posting rate.

Just a note about Kylie and her family...
Her family isn't "gone", they're dead, but Kylie has no proof either way, so she chose to believe the happier idea that they're still alive. She knows on some mental level that they died, but refuses to believe it
