Why is it that after reading that, the only thing that comes to mind is that it’d be kinda hilarious if the Champions were to play D&D? Hivemind seems like the only one who could handle being a DM, Kolt would use the mental boosts Quint gives him to minmax his character, and Jenny would probably spend most of her time trying to get the party to focus on the main campaign rather than trying to hunt down the Tarrasque. Good times all around.

nothing personal Jolty, we've just already had two players drop out because they didn't realize what they were getting into and couldn't keep up.

you don't really have to change the character if you don't want to, there are ways to make this build work, the presentation just suggests you don't really know whats coming and i don't want to see you get frustrated because your character is hard to do anything with. I've been there, It's not fun.

you might want to expand on it a little though. also, the weaknesses are meant to be literal, like kryptonite to Kal-El, not metaphorical. so unless skittles make you ill, or explode, or catch fire...

Guys, don't chase people off while I'm away at therapy.

I have specifically stated in the rules that characters don't need to have powers to join. The lack of powers isn't a problem. There's only two real problems I see and they are fairly small ones. One, I counted up your points, and you total 47. You are allowed 48 points in this place, so you have one left that you can assign. The second one is you already have a character Jolty in I believe Applegate. This isn't a problem with me as long as what happens in Applegate isn't cannon to BoH Jolty and BoH Jolty isn't cannon to Applegate Jolty. The reason for this is Serence, the RP Moderator, believes that it will create confusion and consistency problems in the RPs.

Finally, I need to give warning that this is a fast paced RP. It is active almost every day. Typically you shouldn't be inactive for more than two or three days. I'm not going to boot you if you are, but make sure you can keep up. Once a day/once every other day isn't really that hard. They don't need to be complicated posts.

If you think you can keep up, you add one more point, and you keep the two Joltys' stories separate, then your character is accepted. I recommend reading the most recent 5-7 pages to get an idea as to what has been happening and where people are before you jump in. We are on a Bahamian island resort owned by one of the Champion founders.

Well that’s good. The only way to get experience roleplaying is to actually roleplay, so it’s important to start somewhere. I was absolutely terrible when I started RPing on this forum, whereas now I’m only mediocre!

Also, I wanted to express just how diverse the Beacon was, but I couldn't think of too many different types of people. The only thing that was popping into my head were the light and dark people. So I asked aBritishfox if I could give him a cameo because his character definitely qualifies as unique and not something normally seen in this universe, but would also not be impossible in this universe either. Thanks to him for letting me do that. ^^

If you're wondering what The Lycan sounds like, I kind of imagine him having a voice like Liam Neeson or Gibs from NCIS. Deep and with a growl. Not really matching the personality he displays on a normal basis.

first, forget EVERYTHING 'how to draw' books teach you, as they are more about milking money out of fans of particular studios/genres than actually teaching. at best they'll give you an oversimplified version of a few techniques without most of the basics they're built on. second, find pictures of wild animals or people or whatever, and just mess around. try to recreate them, or color swap them or edit them, anything. it will look like garbage the first few hundred times, but the point isn't quality, it's practice. the more you try, the more you'll figure out.

i find the easiest way to get stripes to look right, is to avoid making them straight. on actual animals they're usually forked, or jagged, or made out of dots close together. so let them curve and wobble, don't try to space them evenly, and if a few are weird shapes, don't sweat it. also keep track of where the middles and tips are, as on some patterns the tips are close to the tips of another stripe, creating rings/spirals, and on others they alternate. and the middle will sometimes jut in one direction or another making the stripe's overall shape more of a chevron. also if they run perpendicular to the flow of the fur you can get away with jagged edges more easily, while if they run parallel you can get away with jagged tips more easily.

Thanks. I tried drawing stripes on my character the way you did, and felt completely overwhelmed. It looked bad, and though I showed it to no one else, it honestly made me embarrassed. I'll try my best, but if I disappear for a few months after posting this drawing, now you know why, lol.

I am trying to use your drawing as a reference, since it is awesome, and I feel will help a lot.

oh boy... this is going to go around in circles for a while.

Kol is almost purely a carnivore, no veggies, no grains. she actually can eat fruit but she doesn't know that yet because she's never heard of fruit.
there isn't enough plant life on her world to sustain many species, so (aside from mushrooms and lichens cultivated as spices and supplemental protein to stretch the food supply during lean periods) only the lowest tier prey species eat plants.

also, by sea dragon, did you mean this cousin of the seahorse? or something more mythical?

cause that'd give you six legs and a dozen paired thruster.

While that thing looks AWESOME and is way cooler than what I thought of, it isn't really what I had in mind. He probably has some droids that look like that, but the one that showed up is more like a traditional dragon that is built for the water.
