1) I still advocate for the natural waterway route
2) Um, can I make a request? I need you guys to maybe slow down on the IC thread... I get left in the dust during school hours and all... I mean its fine if that isn't suitable, but I get lost really quick. Also I'm not the only slow poster either.

OK, I'll leave things hanging at Cinnamon's noodle incident until this evening.

His...noodle incident? DO elaborate. :) Pleeeaaaassseee.

Yeah I'm trying to stall until we figure out what to do with the tunnels.

I like the idea of them being the brainchild of an eccentric man a bit like in the last link that Argent posted. He could have entrances and secret compartments all over his old house, maybe even a few booby traps.

EDIT: Ok so I didn't realise the forum had autocorrect but I think you know what I meant. :P

OK, now Roarin can do the heavy lifting with "Friday".

The other two rangers are Molly Scudder and Rick Crockett. No relation.

Nobody ever explains the noodle incident.

Is Rick any relation to Davy?
And did Molly's name by any chance come from an X Files mashup?

Ah now I understand. THAT noodle incident.

Not to Sonny Crockett either.

I said, no relation!

Thank you so much for the slow down. Really, it means a lot, my replies should be a bit more prompt now that I can catch up easier.

Oh, might I suggest a tunnel situation like in Lackadaisy? The tunnels are natural, but have been made use of. That way both of our ideas can come into play, just not a whole network because, again, it seems like a one-use aspect... Maybe two or three at most, but no more. Any more and they'd likely just lead to nowhere...

That would work. I agree that a whole network is probably not the best idea, having thought it over a bit more. I haven't actually read Lackadaisy but from what Wikipedia tells me there can certainly be modifications and additions to the naturally occurring caves. I imagine exclamations of wonder and awe as they step out from a brick-walled passage into a massive cavern filled with stalactites, shawls, flowstones and pillars. I think we drop the military idea and instead go with either bootleggers, an eccentric guy making tunnels in his house or a combination of both. Either way, they are probably not going to be able to find a lot on the tunnels in the library.
What do you think?

Did you say a road to nowhere...?

Well we know where we're goin'
but we don't know where we've been
and we know what we're knowin'
but we can't say what we've seen
and we're not little children
and we know what we want
and the future is certain
give us time to work it out ...

Map for the village itself is done. Will upload later.

Also: REFERENCES I DONT GET!

Also: Now we're thinking with portals tunnels! It could be both honestly. I live in what used to be a bootlegger's hideout, so I did find some secret places. Like a secret hatch in the basement

NO WAY!! That is awesome! Was there anything behind this secret hatch?

As to the references, you're probably too young.
Aw, gee, now I feel old for understanding them. :(

Flynn might just dig up that reference to Al Cabone after all. :P

I'm thinking a Good Ol' Pets Club HQ in the cavern. Who knows what mischief they can get up tom what with their diverse range of species and talents!

A cave created by the buried StarGate activation?

Al Capone may even have owned the house.

This is the map

1) The roads in/ out of RA
2) The Town Square (All non home-based business here)
2A) The Most recent expansions to the square
3) Freedom Drive
4) The Big House at the end of Freedom Drive, who lives here?
5) Sycamore Lane
6) Maple Drive
7) Oak Drive
8) Birch Drive
9) Yew Drive
10) Pine Drive
11) Ash Drive
12 - 22) Smaller homes
23 - 35) Larger homes
36) Old lodge, think of it as a general commons building. Stay the night if you want, or gather and play games. Whatever
37) Old grain silo
38) Field of crops
39) Somewhat overgrown path into the woods/ Ridge
40) Especially dense forest. The river is out this way
41) The foot of the ridge
42) Lighter woods. The grassland is about 5 to 7 miles from the inner edge
43) Silver Leaf Park. Has a community garden
44) Pebble Park. Has a little pond with fish
45) Ivy park. Has a tiny play ground
46) Copper Park. A popular spot for things like picnics and other such things

Tesla lives in house 22, Mercury in 35. Where do you all live?

The houses are farther apart, obviously. There are alleyways and paths between each one. Most of the larger ones have two floors, the ones that don't have additions that go out, not up.

Is this alright?

Farms? Stables?

That's a very strange town. It looks more like a subdivision.

Farms and stables are not inside of the village itself. Also it looks like the place I grew up when I was little. To an extent that is. Like I said, it isn't much of a town. Whatever, I'm no city planner, I just built it to be easily navigable and have everything placed where it can be found.

Moonbeam is off the map as well, since I said it would take him 30 to 45 mins to trot into town.
Maybe a second larger scale, county map is in order it show the farms an vet clinic.

OP properly edited so far.

I would do a larger map, but since most of everything outside of the given map is just a nebulous mass of farmland and forest, it's a lot harder for me to scale and fit together. If a written description would be acceptable, I can do that pretty easily...

Well, since there's a little bit of doubt lingering on whether to use this map as the official template for Richmond Acres, I'll go with 17. It's still pretty impressive, in my opinion, and it's definitely better than nothing. ^-^

Yep, maybe. But I'm talking about Al Cabone, the canine gangster who hung out there until he finally got caught and sent to prison for making a mess on the rug.

:D I love puns. If you put me and Karishad in the same room we'd probably pun each other to death. I actually made a thread for puns.

So the tunnels were used originally by a canine soda-smuggler who lived in the house and then were built on/into by an eccentric guy who owned the house afterwards. Are we all happy with that?
