The ridge is only 4 blocks away, so is Flynn right in assuming they could have walked there in 10 minutes? Bearing in mind that they might not necessarily be fully under it, just under an edge or a corner or something...

Cinnamon, in character, pretty much has to treat Rusty collapsing as a medical emergency and get the Waltons involved, and that's going to get Koa in so much trouble. So I'm gonna hold off posting for a bit.

I blame Kousa's influence on Koa, in terms of his knack for getting in trouble. Even though he doesn't mean to.

I don't see this ending well. The laws in the HP! universe might be towards the more lenient end of our world's laws, but animals basically have no rights and for someone like Kandi or Samantha who doesn't see animals as people Koa and Kousa are simply a problem to be solved. Even someone who sees animals as kind of like human kids, like Sandy or Paul, Koa's like a little kid who's got his hands on something dangerous.

I don't know about Friday, he might see animals as competent, but that's Keeshah's call.

yea i know its just that sometimes it feels more convenient to post small tidbits there instead of here. most ppl read the post and reply before coming here.

any ways heres what i said.

If you want to do something with the package that will arrive soon. It contains: A rare cello, a lot of boxes of seeds, a small bike, medical files, Small green house building kit, Laptop, lots of candy (lol), an a check made out to the clinic for 20,000 dollars (remember he makes a lot of money from his books, and has nothing to really spend it on so he saved up

I'm not sure what kind of bottletops they had in the 30's so I don't know if Flynn can recap the bottle or not. Did they have screw-tops yet?

Nope, had to keep a bottle opener handy. screw-tops came into use in the late 70's early 80's.

if not, then he is going to have to wait for the rangers to investigate and seize him. if they decide he is being neglected.

If he is signed over to the clinic, or seized and handed over by the rangers.
he becomes a ward of the clinic, aka owned by the clinic. until they adopt him out.

He is so about to get bad news from his lawyers.. they own you, and you have to obey them.

I did some research into this although I might turn this around abut because I think I'm starting to push Koa personality to far with Kousa's influence. So I'm thinking about just having the lawyers clear up all the misunderstandings. And try to go back to the more peaceful clinic. How does that sound to you argent?

That was the scenario I had in mind, but his actions in the clinic have kind of cut that route off. Either Samantha's going to treat him like a dangerous animal, or she's going to wonder about the veracity of his stories about his owner and suggest the authorities give him the benefit of the doubt.

As for the lawyers... if they don't know this rich author is a dog, they're in for a big surprise. If they do, they're probably angling to become his owner, if nothing else because it's in his own best interests to have a competent owner (and they'd be right).

I'm also pondering... isn't Mister Friday likely to wonder if the whole "poachers in the forest" thing isn't related more to this weird little dog with the... uh... "herbs".

Hmm I'd rather not go into the specifics when it comes to ownership, right now I'm just trying to get on their good side again. I'm open to suggestions on how I can turn this around. And they do know about him being an author.

How about if they come back to the clinic, tails between their legs, apologising because Koa is still a little wired from the painkillers and Kousa was a bit freaked out by Koa not quite acting normal, and that was why they were both acting so rashly?

Or would that be too cheesy?

Although now that Koa's out cold (I assume) from the tranq dart, perhaps Kousa would just bring him back anyway. Does she even know he's hit yet? She could be freaking out, wondering why he's collapsed.

But do they know about him being a dog? Animals don't have rights. All that money belongs to whatever human opened that bank account. If he opened it, that's probably fraud.

And I don't think Koa can get back on Samantha's good side again, at this point. She's got him mentally categorized as a "bad dog". Maybe Kousa could find her way into the tunnel system from the other end, so Koa doesn't have to deal with the Waltons any more.

It would depend on body weight. Given how quickly he succumbed, he's likely out for a while.

Also, the main road is blocked by a crashed airship (where did that come from, I don't know, someone wrote that in) so nobody's making deliveries yet.
