I hope I am right in assuming that we are able to have some freedom in creating the lore of this RP world right?
Anyway I ask because in my recent post I have Barry mention a Prison; in my mind its a prison that uses the environment as part of the punishment (My inspiration was the Siberian prison, you know the really cold one?). In this prison there is almost zero light, combine that with there being very little ability for any inmate to wander around, quite a few of them have gone mad from being alone in the dark.
I believe this is actually a thing that has happened in some prisons with those in solitary confinement, with reports of some going mad from being alone.
As far as I know, since that's all the info about it, this prison should be forum friendly enough.

Did you see the part where Colorado spilled basically his entire early life and military career to Corp while being absolutely smashed on whiskey? You probably weren't there for it. Should be on page 16 or 17. But yeah, I'm pretty sure you can create lore for it. IE, I created the original rebellion that would later spawn important members of Insignia. Welsh created the first or second Insurgency. I'd imagine creation in the past is alright, but major future events are left to Legotron and to some extent Welsh with minor additions added by roleplayers. But don't take everything literally from me, I'd wait for Welsh or Legotron to respond for a concrete answer.

Oh dear, my mind might have forgotten all of that, my bad. I think we are good then.
Also the guy who stabbed Barry isn't lucky, I don't think anyone would be if they knew they wouldn't see sunlight or the earth for a few years but could only look up and see the cold darkness of space.
(which in my mind the prison is set up inside a crater, and it is possible to look outside, but the only thing you would be able to see is space itself, no stars or anything).

The constant darkness might be a bit of a deal breaker, but staring at the vastness of space actually sounds pretty fun. I wonder what you can see with such a lack of light pollution like that.

I thought on the moon there was very little you could see. I am thinking of the pictures that were taken on the moon with Neil Armstrong.

Wow. I just looked up a few of them. I'm pretty confused as to why you can't see any stars in it. I mean there's no atmosphere, no weather, there's nothing to obscure the rest of the stars. There must be a science for this.

I just did some googling. It's because most of the pictures have light pollution from being in the sun, the lunar surface reflects light, spacecraft reflect light and the stars are just too faint for the cameras to pick up. We need pictures from the dark side of the moon.

No attack, this storyline takes place while the ship is on voyage to its next stop. Trying to keep this ambiguous so not to spoil anything, but who wants their characters to be in the holodeck and who wants their characters to be observers? Cause, still trying to be ambiguous, you won't be able to leave or enter in the middle of the story. You'll know why when it starts.

Hmmm, that's a tough choice. I don't know really, will the Observers be able to do stuff as well?
I think for Barry I might leave it up to who joins and who watches. For now I think I will have him participate, but if everyone wants to participate I might then switch.
I also have two characters though, which I think I might PM you about with a particular question about him. Since one of them is rather stuck where he is and I don't know if you want him to do much.

Okay, just to confirm, everyone post to say if you want to be in the holodeck or be an observer, and if you have multiple characters, please say which ones you want in which position. If you are an observer, for reasons that will be clearly once I've posted, you will only be able to interact with two people in the holodeck and, for story reasons, it will be the same two for everyone. This is your last chance to chose, otherwise you get stuck as an observer.

This is something I didn't want to happen.
Due to school and homework, I have very little free time to post. Even when I do have free time, it's taken up by other things. I could start the next storyline over spring break, but the first half of that will be on a cruise, so no wifi, and even after that, the story would grind to a halt when I went back to school. So, until school lets out, or until I have more free time, I am temporarily handing over GM duties to Welsh. I AM NOT LEAVING FOREVER. I'LL BE BACK. This is only temporary. I can stay in snow tunnels because the posts there I can write quickly. But for STEELHAVEN, they take time I do not have nowadays. I'm sorry about this, but I don't want my schedule to prevent you guys from having a good time. Until I get back, the story I have planned for the holodeck is postponed. You guys can make up whatever story you want while I'm gone, as long as Welsh approves. I'm sorry, but I have to do this. I'll miss you guys.
