Hello. This is a very sad, but I'm going to take a break for a little while. I just can't continue to roleplay at this time. Hopefully this is only temporary. Hlaoroo has agreed to take over playing Lucky and Ryyn in Richmond Acres for me. My other characters haven't really interacted with anyone in awhile, so they can just quietly disappear. Thanks for all your support over the last few years, I have had a great time.

So, I came up with an idea for a thing... Already ran this by Serence Frostbite, who gave it the go-ahead (Thank you!)

Proposed RP Idea:

Name: SRP: Quiet on the set!

Premise: All of the Player Controlled pets and humans are Actors, filming the third season of what is intended to become a long-running TV show. Time period is Modern, normal species restrictions are lifted. The actors who start with the RP right out of the gate will be treated as if they already know each other from seasons 1 & 2, while any one who arrives late is a guest actor and/or new addition/replacement. The exact nature of said show will be decided on before the thread starts, but it's being partially funded by a pet-toy company as a tool for product placement. (Think the kind of project Bandai, Hasbro, or Takara would be behind. i was thinking something team focused with 4-6 of the cast being said team, but that can be changed.)

The rp is broken into episodes instead of days. if "filming" of an episode is starting to drag on too long, the crew may try to hurry things along, claiming they're going to get behind on production. (with the stage crew controlled by the storyteller(s) running things)

Beyond having input into the script of the next "episode" in the OOC, or by making their character try to bargain with the crew while off-stage IC, Players do not directly control the role their character is playing, the crew assign that to them after their character is approved. Think of character creation more like an audition. Each episode, The players may need to work around on set issues that the crew inform them of.

My personal character will be playing the role of director. She mostly pops up to tell the actors they need to redo a scene, or to mess with/help the cast via stage direction. (should someone else take over as storyteller, they would be given control of said character)

Players not currently on-set may have 'behind the scenes' interactions going on off-set in parallel to the scene being filmed so they don't get bored, or may control 'extras' and 'henchmen' on-set instead of their usual character. Black character text is reserved for extras/crew, Red character text is reserved for henchmen & Villains.

Intended players: 6+ (4 Main, 1 Villan, 1 Crew (me) minimum.)

Requests: The director position I've designed to accommodate my limited RP time, since she can be constantly present without needing to interact as often as players, however to keep things running smoothly I'd prefer to have one to two others helping me run the crew.

That actually sounds really cool, but I can barely get myself to post in the RP I run, so I probably shouldn't join another one. If you need any ideas for the in-game show (villains, plotlines, merchandise, giant robots (I have a lot of those), etc.), I can send you a PM. I have so many ideas I'm starting to go a little stir-crazy from having no way to put them to use.

If you need help coming up with a costume design for him/her, PM me. I'll just need to know the tone of the in-game show first, as well as a few details about the personality and backstory of the villain, once those things are decided. Depending on whether Buster is focusing more on Hasbro (MLP, Transformers) or Bandai (Power Rangers) for the type of show, I could also come up with Mooks and Monster-Of-The-Week designs. I seriously need a good outlet for all these ideas I've thought up, which isn't helped by the fact that I'm coming up with more of them all the time.

as for which direction to go, as i said, i was hoping for a team focused thing, but if that runs into recruiting problems, im open to changing it.

the reference was meant more to make one think of shows designed to, first and foremost, market action figures. Many of which were accompanied by villain of the week/monster of the week style shows and/or cartoons, while others were more of a good team vs bad team style setup.
...though I am rather partial to mechs and giant robots, and would definitely be in favor of that being a significant part of the show's theme.

Had an severe to life-threatening allergic reaction to something yet unknown.

Yep..
Started with my hands turning red, and getting itchy..
Then my hands started to swell-up, followed my lips going numb, and m face getting puffy..
Next came lightheadedness, soon followed my passing out and waking up on the floor..
Co-workers finally saw what was happening, an called the emergency medic squad.
The medics took me to the squad, my blood pressure was 60/53..
they tried 5 times to set an IV in my arm, but the pressure was too low to do it..
Got taken to the hospital, where they used ultrasound to find a vein to get an IV into..

While in the ER, i broke out in hives, the color in my face went away.
while talking with the admissions guy.
i had a feeling of my throat being very dry, and having trouble swallowing.
The nurses tossed him out of the room, an gave me several injections into the IV..
After an hour they had the reactions stopped, and my blood pressure going back up twords normal..
Then had me in observation for another 6 hours..
Don't know what caused the allergic reaction, going in for allergy testing Thursday
AN i get to carry an EpiPen around with me all the time now..

Hi, I came up with a couple of new characters, but I'm not sure what neighborhood would be best for them.

The two characters are for the HPU. One is a 1000 lb brown bear and the other is a mouse. The two make a quite effective team and have been friends for a very long time. The bear protects the mouse, and the mouse scouts out locations to find food/ensure safety. The idea is to have them be two opposite characters that still get along well enough to help each other in a kind of "big guy, little guy" or "little guy, big buddy" way.

I haven't finished fleshing out the characters, but before I do I wanted to see if there was an RP where they would fit.

I think these guys would be good for Richmond Acres or Richardson Valley. Any recommendations?

we just got our notice that my current employer will be closing it's doors in a few months, which means i'm going to be job hunting, and since the RP section of the board takes more planning and thought than others i may not be as active in here for a while.

I just went thru that..

Closed the restaurant new years eve, and was out of a job and out on the street new years day..

I also have been slow in posting..
both of my cars have died at the same time, leaving me with no transportation..

So been stressed, and very depressed..
went out an bought a new car today..
