Alright, alright, hold yer horses. :P Second attempt.

Name:
Colin Baxter (o'Salisgrave)

Character type:
Main

Species:
German Lycaon

Age:
4 (14 PY)

Neighborhood:
Blue Peak Shore

Appearance:
Colin's markings are typical of a German Lycaon. He's a bit small for his age and species, barely topping 4 feet and six inches. The tips of his ears are dyed black. (No, it's not part of some spiritual thing. He just thought it would look cool.)

Personality:
Colin was taught by his elders of the importance humility and hard work. He has utterly failed to learn these lessons. Colin is a chronic slacker, not applying himself to anything that seems like too much trouble if he can avoid it. He has an overly inflated view of himself, and enjoys regaling those willing to listen, most often tourists, with (usually entirely fabricated) tales of his exploits. Because he spends more time with non-natives than others of his kind, his English is a bit better than that of some. On the flip side, he's also picked up slang terms from at least three different countries.

Other notes & background:
- Colin carries a sling. Surprisingly, he's actually a fairly good shot with it. He also has a small knife, but that's mostly used for whittling.

Predictably, Colin has botched just about every job that the elders of his tribe could think of for him. He failed in his apprenticeship to the tribe's shaman, infuriated the warriors he was assigned to train with, and even managed to "lose" the food he was supposed to bring back to the village. The fact that his grandfather is one of the highest ranking tribal elders is probably the only thing that has protected him from severe punishment. More recently, he's been assigned to scout some parts of the island (namely, those near areas inhabited by tourists). He isn't actually expected to find out anything useful, though. At this point, the elders are just happy to put him somewhere he can't do any damage.

S.P.E.C.I.A.L:
Strength - 5 "Mph. Rgh! Huh. Mus' be stuck. Gimme a sec."
Perception - 5 "What're you folks starin' at?"
Endurance - 5 "Well. S'enough running for now."
Charisma - 7 "Hello, there! A'm Colin."
Intelligence - 5 "So wha' do them squiggles you're writin' down say?"
Agility - 7 "Jus' climb on up! It's not that hard."
Luck - 8 "Ya missed me!"

Color, mmkay.

----------

Couple of questions:
1 - Would it work for Victor to know him, if only as "that one slacker pup"?
2 - How would your average lycaon react to seeing a member of one of the more hostile rabbit tribes?
3 -
a living fossil, the Titanic Boa (15 mts x over 1 ton!).
What.
4 -
A helicopter pad, with a Mil V-12
HOW rich is the guy who owns this place again!?

A fine character we have! Approved :D :D
Go Post this CS in MAIN OOC, I'll add it to the list

Couple of answers:
1 - That's good. Just remember that, as in ay village, everyone more or less knows everyone else.
2 - The reaction to a contact may vary, depending on the moment. Lycaons and Rabbits try not to get in touch with each other, unless required by protocol during trade, diplomatic affair, religious rites, etc. A random encounter may result in exhchanges of wary looks, taunting, even a skirmish... Imagine the members of two rival gangs happening to walk in the same area. But that doesn't happen often, since rabbits prefer to stay inland, and lycaons more toward the shores and the resort. Lycaons who want to hunt for the wild goats (they are not raised) are instructed to avoid the rabbits' villages or their herbal grounds. The Lycaons regard the rabbits as silly, primitive animals for their isolationism. The rabbits regard the lycaons as the only species who would happily destroy their own culture to slobber over the humans.
3) The titanic boa used to be a prehistoric animal, supposed to be extinct. A monstre of a serpent, the land equivalent of the Giant Squid. The last specimens live on the island. It is unknown what they feed on, but they gladly accept the offers from the cultists.
4) Richard Spencers is obscenely rich. He literally bought the island from the Crown. He owns a petrol company.

Added to Richard Spencer's status as petrol company owner.
Edited 'Activities', add-on:
Once a year, the rabbits and lycaons tribes choose their representatives to participate in a sport competition. This ritual helps to vent some of the recurring tensions between the two species, and it's transmitted via satellite. Humans or any other stranger is not allowed to interfere, only watch. The competition can be really fierce, since it's the only moment of the year the champions can fight with the blessing of their higher authorities and for the entertainment of the humans.

Sorry I haven't been on you guys! Yesterday I had a game, followed by homework, followed by a ton of laundry and other boring nonsense, and by the time I was done with all that I was too tired to drag myself to the computer (let alone think of a good post).

I'll try not to let this happen again.

I would like to apologize to everyone for my absence. In an effort to rid myself of a headache friday, I took Tylenol Extra Strength. However, this specific Tylenol had Acetaminophen in it, which is a form of Ibuprofen. I'm DEATHLY allergic to Ibuprofen. As a result, my entire body had swelled, and I spent the weekend in the hospital. My entire body aches, and a good majority of myself is bluish purple from the expansion of my body ripping apart blood vessels through out my skin. In a sense, I'm bruised form head to toe.

[TV announcer voice] Last time, on Blue Peak Shore... [/voice]

Seriously now, the last time you posted Roxannes was pulling Celeste towards Salisgrave. They arrived and warned the chieftain, who sent Victor to the rabbits, to make sure Ulysses at least gets away alive. Roxanne was determined that there was more that can be done, so she ran after Victor, leaving Celeste in Salisgrave. On the way, she activated her emergency GPS transponder, to warn the island security, hoping they would save Ulysses.

Meanwhile, Ulysses arrived at the rabbit village, and challenged the warrior who cut up Gian's nose to a one-on-one fight. Adel arrived and tried to interfere, but he was held down by rabbit guards. As the fight began, Roxanne, and later Gian arrived at the village too. Ulysses won the fight in one swift move, thanks to some nearly unbelievable skills, and he and Gian talked with the rabbit chieftain about Gian's rabbit girlfriend, who is ultimately disowned by her father, and sent to the rabbit's temple of some sort for 'mixing blood' with an outsider.

Adel was reminded of his late girlfriend, so he ran into the forest to cry. Roxanne is feeling down, since her help was unneeded, and she's having issues regarding that kind of thing, so she too ran into the forest. (oh boy, everyone's ran into the forest...) Ulysses and Gian walked away from the rabbit village, and they met the arriving security forces, who are looking for the cause of the call for help. Unknown to them, Roxanne threw away her GPS transponder...

So that's where we are now. Zander hasn't posted yet, about Achilles arriving in the forest with the security forces, Roxanne and Adel are in the forest somewhere, but not together, Celeste is in Salisgrave, and Ulysses and Gian are with the security force for the moment. Oh, and Colin is in the forest somewhere too... Hint-hint Coatl_Ruu, he could find either Roxy or Adel, wink-wink... ;)

Oh, and we haven't seen Reese in a while...

Name: Andrew "Andy" James

Age: 8 pet/28 human

Species: Australian Cattle Dog

Neighborhood: Blue Peak Shore

Type: Guest

Appearance: Black back with a brown stomach. He has a brown collar with a Texas tag. He has brown eyes and wears a brown cowboy hat.

Personality: Andrew doesn't try to be annoying, it just happens. He tends too talk to much, get too close, and be too nosy for his own good. He has a good heart though; all we wants is to be a shoulder to lean on.

Other:
-From Texas
-He works at a ranch as a cattle dog
-Has a thick southern drawl
