Yeeeeeaaaahh, just going to add.

Guys, if you see an ad that breaks rating, TELL RICK ABOUT IT as he can ban certain bidders from bidding on the site. Just let him or one of the mods know, and let us know what the ad is, so we can kill it.

This...is the downside to project wonderful ads. Usually, they're pretty good, otherwise...

Trust me when I say I had already PM'd him about one.

Does he get the money for all of the countries combined? Wouldn't he be getting near a dollar a day?

I actually use an ad-blocker. xD Ive been using one for years now. So I don't see any ads. :>

I specifically turn mine off for this site. Usually ads are almost never relevant to me, but the ones here are so much more personal I'd actually rather see them. I never would have found Sandra and Woo had I not done that.

So wait. You just said that you're turning your adds off, but then you said you'd rather see them. What?

I think he means he turns the ad-blocker off, not the ads.

Turning off the ads?

Just like skipping commercials with your TiVo that's tantamount to theft! In the debtor's prison with you!

Does the ad itself have to break the PG rating for it to be a reportable offense, or can the content of the web site linked to therein break the PG rating? I'm not entirely sure whether a webcomic with a joke about [edited -- the ad has been removed] is very PG. :P

I'm going to assume that the ad that says "Erotique" is not one that should stay.

Yeah, I thought that was... well... Interesting (to say the least) to see that ad there. Glad it's gone, wondered if I was going crazy...

Are these ads run by a "pay-to-display" or "pay-per-click" revenue model?

The former.

If you want to learn about how project wonderful works, just click on the, "your ad could be here right now" thing.

Okay, I've said this before: If there is an inappropriate ad, contact Rick directly: A forum PM with a screenshot or just who the ad is from, or just tell him so on AIM. Rick is the only one who can do anything about the ads. If you tell one of the mods, they'll just basically forward your message to Rick. Also, while there may be good intentions, don't post it on the forums where everyone can see them, because, well, all that achieves is more people seeing the ad.

Sadly, those ads work for 14 year olds that spend their time online to... yeah.

Oh and before you start pointing fingers I HATE those adds.

Because "addition" is different than "advertisement"

More on topic, I'd totally pay to plug my puzzle blog via these Project Wonderful ad thingies if I thought readers of a webcomic with animals in it would read it.

Exactly.

It was an ad on here for a while. The ads were pretty shameless and the comic was worse. They were the ones that said " kind of like [insert successful and very dissimilar webcomic here]!" or "this comic sucks!" or "click here if you aren't a furry!"

You know I probably shouldn't be criticizing them, since that could hurt revenue. :/ Feel free to kill my post if you feel it's necessary.

Awesome, Sleet. Awesome.

Of course, there's also the matter of budget. I'm hoping to figure out how to compile my own puzzle book to sell so I can make money off of the ad in addition to gaining a ton of new fanboys. X3

Though wait, that's for some other forums that recently added ads. :P(a forum with much more immature people, that act as shown in the animation)
