Adding ads

Sup guys, going to try once again to insert ads into a style which does not apparently support any mods whatsoever.
dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria

Yeah...maybe put them at the bottom of the page instead? Me no wanna turn on adblock for the site; I've had it disabled before but if that ad is always sitting up there...Dubiousity wrote:I know this is going to help you out a lot and all, but man, does that look ugly!
That actually makes more sense anyway, to have it at the bottom instead of the top....Buckdida wrote:Yeah...maybe put them at the bottom of the page instead? So, I'm guessing you're doing this because you need a bit more income?rickgriffin wrote:Well give it a little bit; it might look better once there's an actual ad on it. Also I can change it to get rid of the text on the bottom.
I sort of want it on the top because that is where the most eyeballs go. But if it still looks too intrusive in a few hours, I'll move it.
How about I also prepare for a bottom-of-site version too just in case the top isn't gonna work out.
Also be reasonable; it's a LOT better than interstitial post ads.
That last part is true.... Like on deviantArt?rickgriffin wrote:Well give it a little bit; it might look better once there's an actual ad on it. Also I can change it to get rid of the text on the bottom.

I am largely doing this because I know that the forums take up a lot of space and if I can generate SOME revenue from it, that will make things a lot easier.Dubiousity wrote: So, I'm guessing you're doing this because you need a bit more income?
Ah, I wish you luck then.rickgriffin wrote:I am largely doing this because I know that the forums take up a lot of space and if I can generate SOME revenue from it, that will make things a lot easier.Dubiousity wrote: So, I'm guessing you're doing this because you need a bit more income?
That would be much better--I just now noticed you have TWO of these things, one on the top and one on the bottom.rickgriffin wrote:Now instead of having a large leaderboard ad up top, I could have button ads or half-banner ads up there instead and keep the leaderboard on the bottom.
Right now it's just the same ad cloned.ChewyChewy wrote:That would be much better--I just now noticed you have TWO of these things, one on the top and one on the bottom.rickgriffin wrote:Now instead of having a large leaderboard ad up top, I could have button ads or half-banner ads up there instead and keep the leaderboard on the bottom.
. . . is this somehow a problem?yoyodude wrote:Is the text always going to be centered or is that a work in progress?
I find it a tad bothersome. It's not like I'm going to visit the forum less or anything, I'd just rather have my sideways scrolling less wacky (Wii )rickgriffin wrote:. . . is this somehow a problem?yoyodude wrote:Is the text always going to be centered or is that a work in progress?
Why do so many people browse this site on the Wiiyoyodude wrote:I find it a tad bothersome. Well apparently soon after I started this, Project Wonderful immediately went down in order to do coding updates. Sigh. We should know by tomorrow or something.Sleet wrote:I browse using my own custom browser on my own custom OS on the smartphone that I build with my bare hands. You better make the forum work for me.
Nah, it works fine for me. But the "your ad here." sign is really obnoxious. I'd much rather have an actual ad. Hopefully you'll get some up soon.
It's the only thing I can use to browse the internet at the moment.rickgriffin wrote: Why do so many people browse this site on the Wii
When I zoomed in, it was nice having the avatars and signitures relatively on the same side or the screen as the message. when the text is centered I find myself spending extra time scrolling sideways to see what user posted which text and vice versa. For short 1 sentence posts I actually found myself accidentally passing them. All in all it's a bit wonky. I'm not going to complain though, it's your forumrickgriffin wrote: I don't so I don't know what the issue is; you're going to have to explain that
So what you're saying is that all the text is centered? (It would have been nice if you actually said that.)yoyodude wrote: When I zoomed in, it was nice having the avatars and signitures relatively on the same side or the screen as the message. when the text is centered I find myself spending extra time scrolling sideways to see what user posted which text and vice versa. Perhaps it's 6 cents per rotation.Dubiousity wrote:It's only for 6 Cents? What is the rate at which you get it?
