I don't know that might spoil to much of the story, as long as he doesn't say what specifically will change or not change I guess it would be ok. (I hate it when writers spoil things in their stories when its still on going) Plus with what we learned in Dog Days of Summer I doubt that everything will stay status quo forever because of the U&U game plus Tarots (well Dragons anyway) Prophecy that she gave Peanut and Grape has yet come to pass.

Alright, sorry if i got carried away on my last post there, but here goes:

in fairness, from my experience with comic books and cartoons, the traditional style of having kids is usually that one side of the family dominates the outcome. if both are the same breed however, it usually falls into traditional sense that they have a mix of what them two have. if both have obvious differences, there mightbe a dominant breed of one kind.

in my opinion, if somehow Grape and Peanut were to have kids, i would honestly think they would be kittens in Grape's case with her fur color and, most likely gender just because she's the older and more mature-thinking type usually. and if there was a rule that occurred in this peculiar instance, they would share the traits of their parents as well. If Peanut were to instead out-mature Grape, then it would be the opposite and therefore shared traits come from Peanut instead.

My god. two Peanuts... Grape would never sleep again.

But yeah, that boils it down for me. if we were looking for some odd combination of both, i wouldn't dare think of that and instead keep it simple. go for either the cat or dog routine and share the traits of the dominant one.

For what it's worth, in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic books a flash-forward shows the children of a male hedgehog and a female squirrel/chipmunk being a male hedgehog and a female squirrel/chipmunk. And in Pokemon children always adopt the species of the mother. Perhaps things could work similarly in this hypothetical situation.
