First off, I want to say "Get Well Soon" to Mareks. That does not sound fun and I will pray for you.

Secondly, I would like to tell everyone that Richmond Acres is inviting more players to join us. If you would like to join our relatively normal neighborhood (If you consider a ferret with his own ferret sized airplane "normal"), or if you had a character here and have not used it in a while, we would be glad to have you.

P.S. We have bacon.
P.S.S. Okay, not really, but we do love it so.

Meh, I'll possibly join, but I am too lazy to create characters. The other characters that I have on the RP are just adaptations.
But I'll look after it and I'll send you a message if I get interested.

You mean RV was already open for quite a while, but yeah, we have like 10 open slots or something!

The original-in-a-different way BsM is also open for anyone who's interested in joining.

That means:
Both Brookshire Meadows and Richardson Valley are looking for more players!
If you're interested in joining a PF neighborhood, go ahead and bug us in our respective OOCs.

Yes. It will be for a while. Even still, go ask in the BsM OOC if you want to check that, not here.

Soooooooooooo, it's still not ok to make new neighborhoods?

Time to get grilled...

As how I see it there's nothing stopping you from making a new neighborhood so long as there will be players that would be in it. Although rather than going straight and making a role play in a flash, it would be best to start an OoC first and gather would be roleplayers for it. Another thing to take note is that the Roleplaying Forum isn't limited to "Pet Friendly" roleplays which are what we labelled as neighborhoods although it is the dominant roleplay these days.

A whole world filled with anthropomorphic animals with super powers? Go ahead!

A simple normal human world roleplay? Go ahead!

A fan roleplay loosely based in Minecraft? I don't see what's stopping you XD

A community where pets are treated like children. . . (Isn't that PF?) Nope, so long as you don't need the format for PF, you may not call it PF.
Thundering Donuts! It might even be a carbon copy and still not be called PF.

Basically putting "PF" in your roleplay restricts you to the liberty offered in rules set by pioneering members. Nothing is telling you to nor is forcing you to put it in.
Sure there are still lingering support that comes when making PF RPs, but it's not something that's completely "supportive".

Summarizing it all, [sarcasm]It's still not ok to make a new neighborhood.[/sarcasm]

Well, I was thinking about maybe having a sci-fi based PF RP neighborhood, probably not too different from the TV Smallville setting.

Re: Pet Friendly: Main OOC

Well that's your choice.

All I'm saying is that if you choose not to make it PF, then you can skip asking permission and just go straight into making a recruitment OoC, which would in turn become the OoC for.. bleh we know this already.

Also I forgot to mention this in my earlier post but there are also "Situational RPs" which would end upon the resolution of the situation life for an example, RPing a group surviving in the forest after a plane crash.
+ As they focus on problem resolution rather than character development, situational RPs offer more action, and possibly excitement, compared to the lazy life in a neighborhood.
+ Since they throw a character into a scenario, the background you give your character would be where you base his/her capabilities and the stats allocated for them would be put into test.
+ A GM would have a more active role in such RPs.
+ RPing the same character repeatedly eventually become tiring for some. Having an RP that has an end opens the RPing world to those who does not wish to dedicate themselves to a character for a long period of time.

Well those are some of the advantages, and I just want to bring that option up because all I see right now are RPs that isolate your character to its own world, though there has been crossovers, it was a special case.

Mixing both kinds of RPs ( inspired from another RP forum I'm in ^w ^ ), I leave that to your imaginations. XD

Eh, I'm going to go ahead and make it PF. After all, it's not like we currently have any RPs that are beyond normal, except possibly alittle bit currently in RG.

Possibly the worst they can do when they see the OOC thread is maybe say 'No', or something.

No it's not. When I first got here, I was reading about one guy who got his friend to impersonate him on here after he died. It's a common occurrence in online communities for about one member to die each year, that's just the way life ends up being. It sucks, as I said, but it's true.

Awww, I'm flattered.

But....

Not really... Probably most, just probably, of those that participate in the comments and forums are young(-ish) but the fanbase itself has a very large age range.

Also..

Lots of things can happen. 0 _0

BAD NEWS
I just realized I'm leaving town from Thursday Afternoon to Monday Night this week. I don't have a laptop and won't be able to post, so it's important that my characters are off to the side by Thursday if we don't want any sort of massive slowdown.

Name:
First: Shaddow
Middle: Stargazer
Last: Lunarfields

Nicknames:
Shade
Shadsy
Star
“Danny” (When she is in a Danny Phantom roleplaying mood.)

Gender:
Female

Character Type:
Main Character

Species:
Dog – Siberian Husky

Age:
4.57 years or 16 years old

Neighborhood:
Radiant Gardens (Hopefully)

Appearance:
Shaddow has white and almond colored fur, and her eyes change colors according to her mood but stay in the range of the color purple. When she is happy her eyes are a lilac-lavender, but when she is angry her eyes turn black with dark purple highlights. When she is confused or sad her eyes remain the lilac-lavender color, but have tiny flecks of orchid in them. She is blind out of her right eye, so the colors tend to be dimmer than her left eye. Shaddow has a light pink rosebud next to her left ear. She wears a light pink collar that is set with diamonds. (Not real ones but fabulous fakes) Her dog tag is silver with her name etched in cursive and is shaped like a crescent moon.

Personality:
Shaddow is a very conflicting character mostly because she was abandoned as a pup by her human family, so she had to raise herself, leading her to act tough. She takes personal failure very hard. She tends to be a roundabout type of person by not explaining herself, her thoughts or motives clearly. She is good at making friends, and is loyal to a fault. She likes to play fighting. Shaddow secretly wants a boyfriend but will never admit to it.

Backstory:
Shaddow was the runt of her litter, so no-one ever expected anything out of her. At a young age she was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Lunarfields, She lived with them for less than a year, but then they moved away and forgot to take her with them. (An accident) She spent most of her life wandering around. Eventually she crossed paths with a bear, and it attacked her, which is how she lost sight in her right eye.

Other Notes:
Shaddow likes to read Werewolf stories and she also likes to watch Danny Phantom. She has the entire series memorized by heart and sometimes does roleplaying where she pretends she is Danny Phantom. Shaddow has ESP. She tends to know or predict things that will happen in the nearby future. When she is having a vision of the future her eyes glow lavender, and her feet are surrounded by a lavender mist. She also can typically guess what another person is going to say before they finish their sentence, but she never lets on. Shaddow has an uncontrollable habit of looking around nervously, mostly because of her loss of sight in her right eye.

Perception: 6

Hey everyone, I finally had my surgery done on my lower back. Turns out it's not so bad. The pain killers I was prescribed work fairly well, and so theirs little discomfort when I sit. I should have no problem RPing while I'm healing up.

XD Actually it's Endocet that I've been prescribed. A combination of 5MG of Oxycontin and 325MG of Acetaminophen. Their a little bigger then a dime in size. I don't really need them either... 1-2 every 4 hours. I took 2 all day and I feel fine. Got a picture of the wound too... looks like someone took a cookie cutter with a razor blade on it to my lower back.
