We'd nominate the best characters from the different neighborhoods, then vote on them! Who else thinks this is a good idea?
Problem: are there enough voters who have read all of the RPs so far to cast a vote? That, or we'll have a very partial outcome. IMO
which is why I suggested an impartial RP with the winners of each neighborhood interacting with each other.

I think it will be good idea if such poll is made, people should vote for every character but their own.

...I'd vote for my own...
I think the point is to be objective. I've liked other people's characters more than my own at times. I've liked Venison, Rav, Blood... Right now I'm liking Zaya and Charlie, and even Parker and Cruiser better than Scratch, who hasn't really gotten into her element yet... But remember, I also think up awesome characters: Sid and Rikki are simply awesome, and I can't help but love them...

Is it wrong to vote for the characters I love?

well, your character in BPS was given to Mystic to control, but he never did it.
but I'm pretty sure she's still counted as a character.

Hey just so everyone knows I'll be back at my parents palce as of next monday.
So I'll be slowing down alot when it comes to posting in RPs, I'll try to make time as much as possible and I know I'll be on at least every 2 days.
Just bear with me I'll be back in the dorms and enjoying the free wifi near the end of the month.

as of today, my vacation starts: it will last until the 17th night (my time). I may be able to connect during my absence from home, but surely not as frequently as I use to do. So, expect a bit of slowness to me in these days.
See ya!

You know, the European vacation and weekend has made me want to fly over there and start punching people, right?
See, it's not that I have anything against time off - I think the European living conditions are wonderful and am looking into moving to Germany at some point - but when I'm trying to work on something and something requires calling a programmer or tech-guy in Europe, and they tell me they're on vacation, I wanna scream.

Don't worry, I'm willing to put up with you as long as you keep making such a major contribution to HALF the RPs in the section.

Just remember to take the feedback you get from your fellow players into account: you haave like, 20 characters at this point, all of whom are major driving forces in their RPs, and you need to make sure you're not shutting out what the other players want. Other than that, you're a good RPer, and an appreciated member of this community, so you're fine by me...

Are there any roleplays with an empty slot?

The late inactivity of the ones I'm in has got me worried a bit, that's all.

I believe that the new SRP, Terra Ridge has one slot open
and Brookshire Meadows is pretty much always open

Richardson Valley Richmond Acres is also quite empty, if you like the quiet farm-town lifestyle...

Noticed that I mentioned the wrong neighborhood...

RV does need really active players. Ones that will lead the others off into adventures, or into trouble.

Rabblerousers apply here..

RV also needs more female characters, were back done to just one.

Wait... We gave you 4 neighborhoods:
- Brookshire Meadows, a place of fun and mischief, magic and creative weirdness
- Terra Ridge, a structured adventure role-playing game
- Richmond Acres, the small farm town where nothing too nasty ever happens
- and Richardson Valley, the dark and gritty one
That's about the most intense variety you're going to GET. If you don't want one of those, then maybe look into Grand Castilia? It's not even Housepets, it's MLP.

-- Edit --
Sorry, I just noticed that I typed the wrong one before. it's RICHMOND ACRES that's the small, quiet farm town with only 5 or 6 characters...

you don't need to know history of a neighborhood because your character doesn't know. Method acting, man.

You don't need to know RV's history, it's basically restarting with just a few old timers and a hand full of newly arrived critters.

Yeah, if you've only just moved there, there's no reason your character would know anything...

In BsM, actually, we just started a new "season", so alot of stuff is either new or being reintroduced. I just recently wrote up new descriptions for various places and people...

Well, I'll post a character sheet then. After I figure out a few things. A third roleplay couldn't hurt. Heh.

EDIT: As far as posting rate goes, I think I do another one at least once per week if I don't forget.

Keep in mind that some neighborhoods, like Brookshire Meadows, expect you to post regularly and often. If you can't post once a day, don't join BsM or Terra Ridge.

- Type -
Main

- Name -
Luke Argo

- Gender -
Male

- Age -
5 (human years)

- Species -
Cougar

- Personality -
Luke used to be an outgoing friendly type. Now though he's more on the touchy side. Irritate him too much and he close you out until you get the picture. While straight, he's pretty tolerant of other's preferences. Just don't ask him to join along or you'll hear a what for. The reason is Luke is fairly family and value oriented. He'll give you a second chance or two.

- Appearance -
Luke occasionally wears a deer pelt poncho on windy days. But other then that there are no distinct markings. Luke is about the height of a wolf.

- Backstory -
While roaming the country side during a hunt, Luke chased a deer a bit too far and got lost. Seeing as he had no idea how to get back and no reason to any ways, he decided to make his new home here. As the only kitten in a litter, he got a lot of attention. Which hit him fairly hard when he buried his parents. Lacking a mate, and getting worried that he'll ever find one, he started to roam the country looking for a place to settle down. Upon coming up on the town, Luke helped a very open minded farmer with a few chores for a day and decided it wasn't a bad way to live. If his previous hunting trip had taught him anything, he'd much rather prefer to have the food right out your doorstep. Luke intends to start up a small ranch out in the back woods so he'll be out of the local farmers livestock.

- Other Notes -
Luke is allowed in town because of a deal he made with the farmers and the council. He has a black collar to hold his license. Another reason he's sticking around is he could've sworn he picked up a potential partners scent somewhere nearby. Luke is allowed to occasionally work at a local brewery.

Strength: Luke does very well in small groups. He'd prefer to listen to one or two people and get to know them better.

Weakness: Luke has a bit of low self esteem. If he gets in a crowd, he gets to be a little quiet. He doesn't lead very well.

Likes: Luke enjoys good company. Friendly people and pets. Luke also likes to exercise a bit to keep fit.

Dislikes: Luke really doesn't like it when he can tell someone's trying to hide something. Especially if it's wrong. Luke can't stand unneccessary frantic panic.

- Stats -

STRENGTH – 8
PERCEPTION – 5
ENDURANCE – 5
CHARISMA – 8
INTELLIGENCE – 5
AGILITY – 7
LUCK – 4

Looking to join Richmond Acres.

Bad news: I'm not sure they want a giant predator in their neighborhood, so you may want to think up a different character. Ask them though, I may have no idea...

Type: Main

Neighborhood: Haven

Name: Griffon, goes mostly by Grif (no last name)

Gender: Male

Species: Dog, Wire-haired Griffon

Age: 35 HP years (10 human years)

Voice color: #4040FF

Appearance: Griffon doesn't care much about his physical appearance. You won't see him in the stream, washing and brushing out his coat til it shines. No siree. In fact, a good layer of dirt and sticks and leaves is good for a creature. Let's 'em feel wild, tough. Let's 'em know that they aren't controlled. They that can be whatever they want to be. Including dirty.
The natural color to Griffon's coat is a grey and brown mix. His fur is long and wiry, scruffy, good for keeping out the cold and wet. Around his muzzle and eyes his fur is even more scraggly, lengthening into what might be called a "beard." It gives him the appearance, despite his relative youth, of a grandfatherly figure, of wisdom and age. This he likes.
Grif looks like a throwback to some previous generation of dog. His teeth are extraordinarily long and sharp-looking, yellowed. His nails seem more like claws, good for scratching and fighting and climbing and hunting. He keeps them that way. He prefers to use natural weapons, if he can.
His eyes... they're a very curious dark blue. The left is always slightly more closed than the right, with a scar lacing vertical through the top and bottom eyelids, slashed down near the middle like Scar's on The Lion King. The same eye has recently clouded over. A new injury and one that probably won't heal, thanks to multiple rocks being thrown at his face.
Griffon wears a simple black bandanna cowboy-style around his neck. It's so ripped and torn and unwashed that a person usually can't see the pattern on it: white skulls and crossbones. He also wears a necklace, metal wire twisted and threaded around a variety of small animal bones, with a larger tooth --might've once belonged to a bear-- in front. These are his only personal possessions, and he honestly doesn't care that much about the bandanna.

Personality: Griffon is gruff. He's lived most, if not all, of his life in the wild. No one knows why he came to hate humans or what happened to him in his extreme youth, but he quickly abandoned his place in typical society. Perhaps he was never even born a pet. Perhaps he's always been a feral. Either way, that doesn't mean that he hates pets. He just wants to free them from their confinement, their slavery to the "master race." Why should a dog be man's best friend? He'd rather see pets starve in the woods than live fat and complacent next to the fireplace. He believes the latter is more cruel.
Grif is an alpha male, but he hides it well. It bothers him when people tell him what to do. However, he'll never let his personal feelings get in the way of what he wants. If he hates someone, but is forced to work with them...? So be it. He'll smile and laugh and make them think they're his best friend. Up until the moment he no longer needs them. Grif is a natural-born leader. People want to follow him. He never asked for his deep, gravelly voice to be so persuasive, but it is. He never asked to be able to hide his true emotions and intentions so well, but he can. And since that's the way it is, he'll most definitely use his charisma against you.

Other Notes:
- leads a pack of ferals, which used to coerce pets (RV) to leave their families and join the group
- since a run-in with AC, was forced to relocated with a mere half of his original forces, most of his supplies left behind in the move

Special:
Strength - 5
Perception - 6
Endurance - 5
Charisma - 8
Intelligence - 7
Agility - 5
Luck - 6

I believe I have to post this here. ^^

Hey guys I'm going to be going on my annual family camping trip this weekend so I'll be off the grid starting thursday. I should be back by monday but sunday night and early tuesday afternoon are also possibilities. Sorry if that messes any RPS up but I literally have no way of accessing the internet from the boonies and frankly I doubt I'd want to take the time even if I could.

I myself am heading up to Tampa. My plan is to leave Friday and come back Monday, or potentially Tuesday.

I'll probably get online when I'm uploading footage and such during downtimes, but I may not have alot of time to do so. At the very least I'll try to get on once a day. No matter what the case, I'm going to have a diminished ability to do anything here, so expect slowdown on my RPing, and don't expect any moderating unless you PM me or it's an emergency that catches my attention.

well I can't top that, but just getting it out that my ability to RP as much as I have been will be ending soon. School is starting up, so Friday I'll be on the road to my new dorm, Tuesday I'll be doing back to school shopping, some of next week will be spent packing, then once school starts I'll have to prioritize that over the forums.
