Hey, two things I need to bring up, and will probably go ingot more detail on when I get a minute:
1) I need the GMs to take a look at the first post in this thread to make sure that the neighborhood list and the quick-join list are both accurate.
2) I want to bring the whole concept of a "player limit" up for discussion, because so far it seems to just complicate things, and BsM has done just fine without one.
3) This topic should be stickied. Who agrees?

1. It seems to be missing a few neighborhoods on the actual neighborhood list... I'll fix that.

2. I don't really see a need for that other than to fill up slots in near-dead neighborhoods, which we have a few of. It's a well-intentioned rule.

3. I agree.

Some players get overwhelmed when there are too many other players in the RP.
And when too many sub-plots get going among them.
Which is why Buckdida put in the player limits.

3) I agree as well.

No opinion on the other two er, okay maybe on 2. Well. I think it should be left up to the group to decide if they want more members or not if they think they can handle it.

3) I agree.
2) It think this should be up to the GM and members of each neighborhood.

Well Aquablast quit Sunset a while ago so hes not Assistant GM anymore. and I forget if we ever picked another one. Sunset has I would say 2 places open IIRC.

As for the limit keep it as is, up to the GMs and members

Well, maybe we should be rethinking the concept is what I'm saying. We do fine without one in BsM, and it means that we're always open. I just think the other GMs should realize that that's a very valid option, and that it works well.

The points are 1 to 10, and you have 42 total, making the average stat 6. 5 is supposed to be "typical" of everyone in a stat.

Try searching "reptile" or something on google and looking at the pictures you get for ideas. Remember to think about how you'd play that species...

Don't forget to give a few sentences for appearance and personality, and to add anything special in the other notes section.

Rick once posted a list of all the species that had been changed, and how.

Mammals with "hooves" stayed normal in body structure, while becoming intelligent and speaking.
Mammals with "paws" stood up on there hind legs, and have use of hands. while becoming intelligent and speaking. Also most of them became larger, except for mice and rats?
Also, don't know about mammals like seals? are they walking around now?

Marsupials gained the use of hands, intelligence, and ability to speak.

Birds gained intelligence and ability to speak. Altho Rick has started drawing them with feather fingers. but don't know how useful they would be for picking up and carrying things.

Dolphins and orcas gained intelligence and speaking ability.

crocodiles and alligators gained intelligence and ability to speak.
Don't know about smaller lizards like a gecko. It might have use of hands, but stayed small like a mouse.

I'll ask Rick to comment on this here.

(edit) Ricks comments from the PM to him..

For the most part, the only animals that DON'T talk are fish and insects.

Many marsupials are mammal-form, so they have kinda-same rules as pawed animals, for instance the opossum I drew in one recent comic also stands up.

Seals do not stand upright as they do not have paws, only flippers. Pachyderms do not stand upright. No reptiles stand upright, but they are intelligent and speak and may have use of their forelegs as hands. Some smaller reptiles might be able to "stand up" (frilled lizard, gecko, iguana) but for locomotion they still generally use all four legs.

Most animals are within the size range of their regular counterparts but can be a bit bigger.

I think I covered all the points I need to clarify there.

ok so the rule would be he has to walk on all fours but he could lift him self up if he needs to?
what about sitting in a chair is that not allowed for bigger reptiles?

size shouldent be a problem as there are several reptiles that get to the size of a teenager human so being smaller in size should be fine im guessing.

Hello to all. Sorry I didn't manage to warn the people about me switching Internet providers, but I was disconnected a minute before i could manage to post that. The most important thing is that I am back and ready to post. I will however be unable to post from 14-th to 19th due to a small vacation.

holmebrian wrote:ok so the rule would be he has to walk on all fours but he could lift him self up if he needs to?
They could most likely, walk slowly on there hind legs like the Geico gecko lizard does, but would drop to all fours to move quickly.
And if you keep a gecko small like a mouse, you can climb up walls like spiderman! :o
holmebrian wrote:what about sitting in a chair is that not allowed for bigger reptiles?
A gater, or a croc couldn't. And since lizards have big, thick tails, they couldn't just sweep them aside like the other pets do. They would need like a folding chair, where there is a space between the seat and the backrest. The lizardman would have to back into the chair, threading the tail through that space in the back of the chair.

A komodo dragon pet is going to one really scary pet.

have fun with your Kobold.. ;)

i dont want something that small also alligators and crocks get that big and there have been found a couple spicies of iguana in the wild that have gotten that big.
so it will probably be some sortive cross between an iguana and a alligator.
ok as long as the tail is not too fat i guess it would be fine to sit on a chair.

ok updated description and put a few other things.

Actually there are medium sized crocodiles... Like just human sized and some even smaller (like 1 meter as an adult).

I'm going to be dropping a couple of the RP's that I'm involved in.

Radiant Gardens is obviously not one that I am dropping. I'm still deciding about the others, however.
Less RPs = Less pressure to post = Less stress about posting = Leisurely posting = fun posting = More posting = Less pressure to post...
More RPs = More pressure to post = More stress about posting = Hurried, stressful posting = mandatory NO FUN posting = Avoidance = More pressure to post...
Is my train of thought.

I'll totally make a bat character. I mean if there's an open slot somewhere...
Also, would the bat be upright or not? It IS a mammal with paws... I think.

Hey guys... It has recently come up that starting on Sunday, I will be inactive for about 14 days... This is because my family and I are going on a surprise camping trip, do I thought I'd give you a fair warning. 0 /=|=|=|=\ 0 (that's a frowning skull face, btw)

P.S. On the bright side, I'm not going away forever!

P.P.S. Rhyzer, Roarin, and Marine fox... Really sorry about leaving you guys hanging here, Er... Soon, I guess the "soon" would be more appropriate than "here", but in any case, can you forgive me?

P.P.S. I have a feeling that my sudden yet brief vanishing act will leave Iudex in the dust... But in any case, can you guys forgive me? Especially WolvenPaw and Reno.

Hey guys, I just had a CRAZY idea. What if we had a sort of election to see who the most beloved pet in Pet Friendly is?
We'd nominate the best characters from the different neighborhoods, then vote on them! Who else thinks this is a good idea?

actually, that sounds interesting. once we have the favorite from each neighborhood, we could have them RP together in a neighborhood of champions (non-canon to the original neighborhoods, of course) before voting on which one of those are the favorite. we could make it an annual thing.

Problem: are there enough voters who have read all of the RPs so far to cast a vote? That, or we'll have a very partial outcome. IMO

I would immediately nominate Venison, Rav, and Pavelle from RV, Rikki, Sid, and Frank from BsM, Flash and Cesium from YsF, and Charlie and Zaya in Edge City.
(I got the idea when I was reading the thing that Charlie's doing, where he's being eaten by Parker. That's HILARIOUS!)
