My apologies for my recent "Neglection" to post in the RP's I am involved with, I know I keep posting than it appears to be a week or so between posts but I am dealing with some State tests and other obligations that with all due respect more than outway an RP in priority. -Personality-
Somewhat shy and reclusive, preferring to engage in intellectual leisure by himself rather than to risk befriending the wrong person or pet, but capable of selectively maintaining some very intimate friendships with the ones he trusts the most. In the right setting, though, he becomes quite social. Capable of being non-serious at times, and very serious at other times. He's also not very brave.

Like most of his breed, he has a bright white fluffy coat. Sports pointed ears and snout. A pink nose as well. A late bloomer, he is shorter than average and still comes off as a puppy in appearance to some. Wears a burgundy collar with a music note on it.

-Personality-
Caustic, stubborn, and very self conscious about his size and looks. He is usually civil in public, but it is very easy to push his buttons. Doesn't like being told he's wrong.

-Other Notes-
-Born on a farm, but adopted by Mrs. Gloria Hattenbach at a very young age. An elderly piano teacher and widow. She never had any kids and treats Sebastian very much like a human child.
-A skilled improv pianist, a talent that rarely sees light outside his home.
-Doesn't get out much until his owner forces him to get to know other pets.

Appearance: Kyle looks like your average Husky. His back, sides, and most of his tail are black with a gray undercoat that gives him a charcoal-like appearance. This color extends over the top of his head and ends at the top his snout, where the color shifts abruptly to pure white for the rest of his face. His underside, legs, and underside of tail are white. His eyes are ice blue.

Personality: Kyle is generally laid back, but can be hot-headed if he is incredibly annoyed or if he sees something going on that he doesn't think should be.

He is a bit of an introvert, and can seem withdrawn or anti-social to those that do not know him. He often enjoys playing video games or working with computers, but can sometimes be found taking a walk on a quiet path or in the middle of a wooded area completely isolated from technology.

Kyle is a very independent dog and would rather spend hours trying to figure something out for himself than ask someone for help.

Skills: Kyle's owner is a freelance programmer, and has taught him much about how computers think and work as well as how to get them to do what he wants.

Backstory: Kyle was adopted by Max when he was just 8 weeks old along with his sister, Lara. The three of them led fairly normal lives in the city. Because Max worked as a freelancer instead of a traditional programmer, he had plenty of free time to spend with his pets. During this free time, he taught Kyle how to assemble and disassemble a computer as well as several programming languages. Kyle discovered he had a natural aptitude for tech, and proved to be a very quick learner. He often helped Max with the jobs he took by testing new programs and helping to debug them.

However, about a year ago, Max took a job that required him to work under the restraint of a confidentiality contract. The employer also required Max to work on location, so Max had less time to spend with his pets. Kyle and Lara were able to fend for themselves, but they missed the company of their owner compared to his usual jobs. Even with this new lifestyle, things went OK until about three weeks ago. That's when the men in the black suits showed up.

It was early on a Wednesday morning. Kyle awoke to the sound of a window breaking as a small container crashed through it. He had time to look at it for about two seconds before it released a foul-smelling gas that filled the room. Kyle passed out as a man in a black suit and a mask crashed through the same window the container had flown through.

When he awoke, he was tied up and sitting in a concrete room. His sister, Lara, was unconscious and lying on the floor to his left. Directly in front of him and behind a set of iron bars stood his owner, a worried expression on his face. Next to him stood a tall man wearing a black suit. The man in the black suit spoke.

???: As I already told you, Max, we noticed you needed an incentive. Well, here it is.
Max: Bill, if you've hurt them in any way, I promise you I'll-
Bill: Now, Max, I don't think you're in any position to be making threats. They're not hurt. At least, not yet. If you would just focus on your work, they will stay that way.
Max: At least let me in there with them. They are probably scared out of their minds.
Bill: All in good time, my friend. For now, you have more important things to worry about.

Bill snapped his fingers and two muscular men in blue shirts and dark sunglasses walked up to Max and took him by the arms.

Bill: Guards, escort this gentleman back to his workstation. We have a schedule to keep.

As the guards and Max walked away, Kyle's vision began to swim and he blacked out.

Max resumed whatever secret task Bill spoke of. A week later, Bill made a gesture of good faith and moved Kyle and Lara to Max's holding cell. It was a happy reunion, to say the least. None of them were allowed to leave, however, until Max finished his work. This was not to be, though. Two weeks later, a guard entered the cell and escorted Kyle down a dark corridor to a dark, imposing room where Max and two men in black suits stood. The black-suited men stood across from Max, a large desk between them. Kyle recognized one of the men as Bill from when he was first brought here. The other, he had never seen before. Bill was furious at Max. He slammed a tablet computer on the desk.

Bill: Max! What is the meaning of this?
Max The meaning of what? You've interrupted my work to slam a tablet on a desk?
Bill Do you think this is some kind of joke? Maybe you haven't noticed, but I have your beloved pet here!

Bill snapped his fingers, and the guard brought Kyle into the room, his front paws bound and a muzzle about his mouth. Max's attitude changed from indignance worry.

Max: Bill, I don't understand. I've done everything you asked. Please, just let Kyle and Lara go. They have no part in this. I'll see the project to through to completion.
Bill: It's too late for that now, Max! I've discovered your treachery, and you are going to be punished for it!
Max: Treachery? I still don't-
Bill: Stop lying to me! You know what's on that tablet, and you were going to send it to the FBI! I've run out of patience with you, Max! Reg!

The other black-suited man spoke, now.

Reggie: Yes, sir?
Bill: Dispose of this pet. I don't care how. Max, here, needs to be taught a lesson.
Reggie As you wish...

Reggie placed a hand on Kyles shoulder, turned him about, and the two of them left the room. Max leaped from his chair, but a pair of guards rushed into the room and restrained him before he could reach Kyle.

Bill: You know, Max, Lara is still here and unharmed. It's too late for Kyle, but you can still save her. I recommend you focus your attention on the task at hand. Do good work, and I may just forgive you.

Reggie blindfolded Kyle as the left the building and placed him in the back seat of a car. The two of them drove a few miles until they reached the outer limits of the city. Suddenly, Reggie stopped the car, turned in his seat, and removed the blindfold from Kyle's eyes.

Reggie: Please, don't be afraid. I'm not going to harm you. This is all my fault...

Kyle couldn't speak because of the muzzle, but was growling as Reggie reached toward him.

Reggie: I have to remove your collar. There's a GPS transmitter in it that will give away your location. I can't risk Bill's men coming after you, again. I'm really very sorry about all this. If you will please stop growling, I will remove your muzzle.

Kyle quieted down, and Reggie removed his collar first, then his muzzle. Kyle tried to bite Reggie's hand as he pulled the muzzle off, but he missed and rolled off the seat and into the floorboards of the car.

Reggie: I guess you must hate me, huh. I don't blame you. After all, none of this would have happened if not for me...
Kyle: You keep saying that, but what do you mean?
Reggie: Max did his best to cooperate with Bill after he threatened to have you and your sister petnapped. I was the one who was going to turn Bill and his entire operation in. I couldn't take the guilt any more. I had to do something, but I was afraid of what Bill might do if he found out. So, I used Max's ID and computer whenever I was preparing the information for the FBI. Obviously, my plan failed. All I can do now is to free you and try to keep Max and your sister safe until either the project is complete or the FBI discovers the operation. I'm going to untie your paws now, but I would prefer if you didn't try to bite me.

Reggie untied Kyle's paws and helped him out of the car. He then handed him a small envelope.

Kyle: What's this?
Reggie: Plan B. In that envelope, you will find a paper with a set of instructions. You will also find a USB memory stick containing the files I was going to send to the FBI. I have also enclosed $50 and directions to get from here to a nearby pet-friendly neighborhood.
Kyle: What makes you think I'm going to follow your scheme? If what you are saying is true, the last one failed. And, I still don't trust you.
Reggie: Fine, don't follow my plan. It's the surest way to free Max and Lara, though. I can't try any more. After I explain how I "disposed" of you, Bill is sure to call my loyalty into question. I won't be able to help anyone if he should uncover the truth. Whatever you decide, you are free to go. I will throw your collar off a nearby bridge and into a river. Hopefully, Bill won't ask whether or not you were wearing it at the time the transmitter short circuits. The choice is yours.

And with that, he got back into the car and drove off. Kyle opened the envelope and found the directions to the neighborhood Reggie spoke of.

Thanks for the feedback! I wanted to give Kyle a backstory that I could play off of. I still have some plans for it, but saying them here would spoil things early.

Dark story, it's one way but sustainable for quite an amount of time so nothing to say there. A suggestion of sorts though, you may bring up parts of the story to the current GM of RV to fit it better with the current happenings and settings.

Er, to say it more clearly... The backstory is fine as a backstory but execution of the continuation of the story will be trickier to do in an RP as other characters may disrupt a fair amount of the planned story progression. Which in turn may lead to complications etc.

So yeah, careful with plot related advancements and better yet, inform it in advance or at least hint about it when it comes up.

Oh and just for a friendly warning, it is better to inform the GM in advance if you're preparing an event as to avoid problems from arising due to misfitting developments.

Thanks for the tips. I don't plan to do anything without prior consent from the GM. I am sorry if my previous post sounded like that.

If the GM (Keeshah, currently) has any problem with what I have in mind, I am prepared to abandon the idea. I do not want to do anything that would prove disruptive to RV in any way.

-Appearance-
Shelly is almost a perfect example of her breed. Her markings are solid, even, and clean; her frame is slim and clearly built for running. Her only flaw is that her herringbone (the stripe that goes up her back) run all the way over her head to her nose; instead of ending at the ear base as it should. As with most Lilac Does her fur is white with soft grayish pink markings. She has large green eyes that seem very watchful but in reality she spends most of her time staring off into space. Her collar is the same color as her markings with a stylized rabbits foot on it.

-Personality-
Shelly is kind and friendly, though some times a little pushy, with what seems like a need to make every one like her. She is more then a little snobbish when it comes to material things like food, wine, etc. She's also very "girly" enjoying things like getting her hair and claws done at the local spa. She hates getting dirty or manual labor. In short she is kinda spoiled.

-Back Story-
Shelly use to belong to a very rich woman in the city who bred rabbits and would enter them into rabbit shows as a hobby. The woman spoiled Shelly like crazy while Shelly was doing great in the shows. She even won the blue ribbon two years in a row as a junior. But as Shelly entered her teen age, she developed a bad marking connecting her nose markings to her herringbone. Meaning she could not do the shows any longer. The woman kept her for another year or so hoping the marking would fix itself, though when it did not she gave Shelly to her brother who owns a small farm in applegate.

Other Notes:
As you would imagine from her stats Shelly doesn't really notice much of whats going on around her and she is not very strong, but her luck helps keep her from getting into too much trouble accidentally. She seems to have a knack for moving out of the way or leaving right before something bad ambushes her though this doesn't help with things she should have seen coming.

like I said before, hes constantly building. kinda well-rounded builder, making things from hand warmers to throwing knives(dont ask). Also, he occasionaly has a small garage sale to show off his work.

Personality
Matt is a very quiet person. He is somewhat introverted and is very shy when meeting new people. He would prefer to be alone than to be in a large group of people, but would also prefer being with a small group of close friends over solitude. He is very friendly, albeit not being very talkative. He is also incredibly intelligent. He has very few strong views of his own, and is open to any new views or suggestions (that make logical sense, of course). Most of his time is spent either on his computer or with his friends.

The ID tag she wears is also gold-colored and is in the shape of a viol. While some people say she commonly wears a blank, oblivious expression, others believe that when she looks at people she sees directly into their soul.

Personality
Rachel is very polite, and incredibly loyal to her friends. She is rather talkative, and loves meeting new people. Despite these traits, though, she tends to stay inside her house often. She is very lazy, but will instantly do anything that she sees must be done. She is also very perceptive, often knowing what situations other people are getting into and preparing a solution ahead of time. She spends much of her time either playing the cello or being with Matthew.

Okay, a few small things here- first, no stat can be lower than two, which means Luck should be bumped up a bit, especially with his luck for making bull's-eyes. Also, you have 42 points to spend among the stats, although it isn't required that you spend them all if you don't want to.

And I'd have to ask about this, but because your character is so young, Str and End cannot be above 7, and one of them must be halved. I'm not sure if 7 applies to the stat before it is halved, so you might need to bring one of those down a little bit. I dunno, we'll have to see what Buck says. Nevermind, he said no. And when (if) you do decide to spend more points, remember the Int limitation of 5.

Hey guys!
You probably know me from either Richmond Acres, Minepets, or from my fanfic/branch off called "Project Gone Rogue".
But, if you don't know me... Hello, I guess. I lost where I was going with this.
Anyways, I talked with Esper about a roleplay idea that I had. In this roleplay, it takes place in the distant future, where this future took some ideas similar to Rick Griffin's ARGO. I don't know how to explain it, so I'll take some of what I told Esper and put it here.

America had fought a great war in claiming the moon as a state. The Russians wanted to keep the moon as a military base.
But, the Americans and the Britain's had looked at it as an opportunity to start life on other planets.
Eventually, the Great Britain and America had won, but at a severe cost. Apollo City was such an expensive program, that both the U.K and the American Government had to join together in order to create their dream.

During this war, Russia wanted to design a chemical weapon to attack it's enemies. So, they did testing on Pets.
This weapon was regarded un-successful, because it never got past harming pets.
So, they disposed of it.

The virus spread and multiplied, creating a mass genocide to the animal kingdom.
Eventually, the humans were able to create a cure, but by then there was already a massive loss to them.
The remaining pets who were unharmed were sold to the highest bidder, and put into a special breeding program.

But, because the humans loved the pets and animals so much, they decided to create a program called the ani-droids.
(In ARGO, the ani-droids were given a restriction on how much expression and emotion the could have. In this, the ani-droids are designed to emulate actual pets. In other words, they are designed to act exactly like living creatures.)

When different companies got a hold of the ani-droids, they made modifications to them to perform certain tasks specific to the jobs given to them. Like, for engineers, the ani-droids were modified with prototype x-ray vision (only able to see through buildings with schematics and security camera's), and Repulser ray cutting crystals in the forehead.

When emergency services saw what these companies did, they modified ani-droids as well, but specified them to a certain wild animal.
Medical ani-droids were created to look like foxes.
Police ani-droids were created to look like wolves.
and Fire Department ani-droids were created to look like Dalmatians.

Since this modification craze kept going, you can't find a normal ani-droid anywhere.

The pets who were effected by the virus, had to get special treatment done to them.
The infected parts of the body were amputated, and replaced with ani-droid parts.
These pets willingly modified themselves, because they were so grateful to the humans, they wanted to do everything they could to repay them.

Apollo city was the perfect place for the Cy-Pet's to live. They could learn to use their new body parts AND help with the development of the city. So, the Cy-Pet's and a certain amount of citizens from both America and Great Britain moved to Apollo City.

Now, Apollo City is a bustling city. The lamps on the streets would grow bright to show it was day time, then would dim when it became night. There were major corporations that moved to Apollo City. The flag planted by the astronauts long past was turned into a memorial park, where humans and pet's alike could relax.
Then for the wild animals, Apollo City built a sanctuary, which had REAL grass and REAL trees. The wild animals could stay in the sanctuary like they would normally on earth. But, there was an invisible wall set up to keep the wild animals from leaving the sanctuary.

Then Apollo City built giant farms on the moon. The plants were given artificial sunlight to help grow, and they were watered by the ani-droid farmers. The farms thrived on Apollo City.

Because of Apollo City being so popular, people from around the world wanted to live there.
Eventually, the news spread to beings from other planets, who couldn't suite make it to earth, but could make it to Apollo.
So, when they reached contact with the people of Apollo City, the humans set up the Moon Base, to filter foreign activity, as well as humans who wanted to do harm. The Moon Base turned into a wall, so nobody could land on Apollo without going to the Moon Base first.

In conclusion, Apollo City has just started excepting aliens from other planets. It's still new to the humans, but the aliens (named Serpientes) were able to learn Spanish quite well. Eventually, you'll see the odd alien who could speak English, but every other corner, you could see a Spanish speaking alien, just doing what he or she would normally do.
The Cy-Pet's became watchers over Apollo City.
And Filthy rich humans brought pure pet's to Apollo City with them.
Apollo City is doing great, and they are still excepting new people,
Whether your a human, an alien, a Pure Pet, an ani-droid, or a Cy-Pet. You are welcomed to Apollo City.

They are also super rich, so that counts as another ability.

Owners can only use tools. No modifications.

I never thought about military pets. If you want to use one, just say your pet is a military pet.

It takes place in a future where the animal kingdom was almost wiped out.
So humans designed a program to create androids that emulate actual animals.

Well, it depends on which roleplay your referring to.
Apollo City is open until I say its closed.
A Main Character is the character you'll be playing as personally.
a guest character is someone you play as occasionally. Like a vet, or a police officer.
someone you don't normally play as.
Character pages go here, but I prefer Apollo City character references to be organized on that page.
If you don't know how to roleplay, think of writing a book. Pick what you want your characters backstory, present situation, and future saga's you want that character to go through.
Along the way, you will meet other writers who want to interact with your character.
This is where you interact, plan with the other writer, and develop a story as you go along.
I'm not too sure myself, but I hope that helps.
