Can't say I dislike them, I really like their songs, I'm just getting tired of them due to over-listening in the past couple of years.
So, speaking of British singers of that time... Petula Clark? Anyone?
Yes, that is about the best thing to write that I could think of.

I have a bunch of Beatles music on my ipod, but none that I regularly listen to. I only have ~75 songs on my favorites playlist (Which is the one I default to 90% of the time) and another 15 songs not on that playlist that I listen to often, but don't put on it.

I need to put some Beatles on my ipod. I was a pretty terrible music fan before I got to college so I never really ended up purchasing/downloading any of their music.

Yeah totally. The whole point of this thread is so that it can go just about anywhere as long as it doesn't turn into a topic we have a thread for for too long.

Or role-playing. It used to be bad about that.

That's nothing compared to what things were. It's not role playing so much as this thread turning entirely into directionless role playing.

True Seth, true. Some people just aren't ready for a relationship. :P

Also long-distance relationships are great, but humans are meant to interact personally, not solely through technology. After being on both sides of the table, I feel like I can at least have an opinion on that without being considered ignorant.

I have a hard time getting a girlfriend ANYWHERE... closest I've come is this person I've met on Minecraft, and even then I was pretty sure she wasn't who she said she was.

To be honest, I agree. Women seem to be much less accepting of a man's quirks; getting a girlfriend is like getting a job. If you're not their version of perfect, you're not getting hired. Same goes the other way around, I suppose.

Though, to be honest, if you're looking for your life mate, I should hope you'd be at least a bit picky. ;)
Though I suppose it's more important what you're picky about in the long run.

Guys, hello, there's a chick standing right here. I'd appreciate it if you guys would step off the girl-hate and didn't group all females into some terrible category because it hasn't been rainbows and butterflies in the romance department. Y'all don't see me making statements that generalize all beings with a Y chromosome as idiots with ridiculously high standards.

And so I direct you guys to a Jenna Marbles video, with some swearing and slight suggestive themes as a warning, but the rest of the content is abolutely perfect, and it's called "Nice Guys Do Not Finish Last." Guys, we love you, but a bitter personality is an unattractive turn-off.

@Obbl- I agree with you, it's okay to be picky.

I have mixed emotions about the whole dating thing anyway. It seems like the ones I've seen either fall into the "complete waste of time and a drain on both people involved" or "Oh my god you guys are so cute I want that" catergories. My limited romantic experience hasn't been super-great but I'm not exactly a cynic either and do tend to buy into the "there's a match for everyone somewhere" mentality.

I hope you didn't get the wrong message when I said that.

I didn't mean it in a "all girls are way too picky and high maintenance" kind of way. They're not. I have several friends who prove that wrong. I just don't have the time for a relationship in the kind of way that I'd like to have one.

I know right? I can't log onto facebook or twitter without seeing guys complaining about the friend zone or how hard it is to be a nice guy. It amazes me none of them ever go either "she's not into me" or "she's not worth it".

Oh god, did I really imply/state that? Well, that confirms that I'm a total idiot. I'm REALLY sorry for that, I don't hate girls. I just feel angry about the high expectations of... well, life in general right now, and I guess it trickled down and I said something I don't mean. Again, I'm really sorry if I offended you, I didn't mean it.

There's definitely a lot of implied sexism in Western society. It's super-unfortunate. Let's be sure to tread gingerly, lest we accidentally hurt someone.

Also, girls are icky.

Pah, I've been using green text forever.
Even on sites that frown on you using text colors. Those are fun. The BSCB forums are like that, if I recall correctly.
