she's a skilled negotiator, a very useful talent especially in a hostage crisis. Despite that, since it's not that kind of problem that (luckily) happens often, Navy is the occasional target of mockery for being a 'softie'. It doesn't help that her partner prefers reason over action and is still guilt-ridden.

Dasco and Rusty have always been partners so to forge a strong team.
During the retiremente following the attack that mutilated Dasco's front teeth (not only his canines), both studied to develop informatic skills and get an edge in the intelligence dept. This, together, with their special clearances, makes them an even more formidable due, and quite competitive with Marcus.
