I always liked the movie "Balto". But, it depresses me to know that the real Balto is stuffed and mounted in a glass case in the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.

Yes.
I'll give you summaries of each movie
Balto 2: One of Balto's children is more wolf than dog (because genetics) and so when Aleu (Balto's daughter who looks more like her father than her mom) goes to a trip of "Self-discovery", she ends up joining a pack of wolves and we see that Balto's mom became a spirit thingy.
Balto 3: Balto's son, Kodi, is very proud of his dad and he wants to be a sled dog too. Then a guy with a plane arrives and says that his plane is more useful han dogs, meanwhile Balto had dreams of being able to fly (you can guess what happens in the end). Then the guy with the plane challenges the dogs to a race.

I personally, from the trailers I looked up on youtube, thought it can't be very good, but to each their own I suppose.

I never saw the sequels, because I'm not really one to trust animated sequels. At least ones not done by Pixar.

I'm a fan of animation, and a big thing with me is if I like the animation, for example, the show The Batman, I always hated because everything was so sharp, and cornered. It looks abysmally bad to me, so I never watched it, and Balto is no different, I don't care for its animation for some reason, so I never really got into it, and watching it now, I just don't like it. I don't like the characters, and couldn't care less about the story because I think its sort of boring and uninteresting.

I didn't think it was that great. It's alright, just not one I'd watch again.

Know what animated movie I really loved? Iron Giant, I haven't seen it in years though.

EDIT: I didn't notice the "Chat Thread 39" in the title and thought this was about favorite childhood/animated movies. :P

I watched it when I was young, that's probably why I think it's amazing. And Lady and Tramp too. Some day, I will do spaghetii kissing from Lady and Tramp one day with someone special.
Anyway it's movie about dogs, those always interst me.

I might be the only furry I know who grew out of the whole animated movie phase. But I did have a childhood and as a young lad Fox and the Hound was my favorite disney movie.

Balto was awesome. Shame i never saw the sequels, but it was fun to watch.

The original Land before Time. Now that was heartwarming before it went to Sequel Hell. The sequels wern't bad, but the heartwarmingness and scare-factor of the first one compared to the other ones is hard to compare. Also, I had this strange craving to eat green food.

You aren't now. I also became a furry without being attached to furry animation in general. XP

It doesn't necessarily have to be animation that you're into. Furry media extends into pretty much anything (except possibly music). Animation is just a common one, and one that gets people into anthropomorphism at a young age.

well, it's a dark blue, almost black, but blue corn exists naturally

but apparently blue is a natural appetite suppressant so any time we discover something blue that might be edible, we don't want to try it

oh, also, blue cheese has blue in it.

and all of these were found by googling "blue foods"

Balto, The Iron Giant, and the first Land Before Time are some of my favorite movies of all time. I think with Balto, a good bit of it is nostalgia, though I still enjoy it quite a bit. But with the other two? They are just masterpieces of animation on all levels.

And while I was never a huuuge fan of Lady and the Tramp, I too plan to re-enact the spaghetti scene with someone once that time comes. Because it's like the ultimate example of a cheesy, romantic dinner; it just has to be done. :P

The animator Don Bluth said that children can endure anything as long as it has a happy ending. That is why most of his movies are mind-numbingly depressing until the last 5 minutes. When I was a kid I used to start watching his film "An American Tail" but for one reason or another was not able to finish it. Even with that happy ending, this film is almost as depressing as "Johnny Got His Gun" or "Combat Shock".

Never lookfor romance in an alleyway for they are all full of homeless people and knives. I think Ghandi said that.

An American Tale is pretty great though. My friends, for a little while, would follow up anything negative anyone else said with "But... ♪There are no cats in America♪ etc. etc."

God. Freakin' American Tail. I haven't watched it in over a decade now because all the memories I have of that movie are how remarkably depressing it is. I mean... most of Don Bluth's stuff was pretty depressing at points... but HOLY FREAKING CRACKERSNACKS. Fievel just can't catch a dang break; he keeps like JUST missing his parents... and don't they actually end the first film with him still being lost? I seem to remember him not even finding his parents again until the end of the second or third movie. :I

Talking about old movies of our childhood made me remember of a movie caleld Cassiopeia (it was entirely made of cgi and it was from 1996).
this is the summary of it: Four little robots get together to defend their planet Atenéia, in Cassiopéia constellation, from villain Shadowseat.
I totally copied and pasted it from a website. I remember it having "epic space battles", but it's most likely my nostalgia talking. I haven't seen it in over 13 years!

no he finds his family at the end of the first
the second they went the old west
the third and fourth were in new york again
they all got progressively worse

and for some reason they start the third saying the second was a dream
it also has to do with native american relations
it was actually interesting cause it didn't end with every being friends
the native mice decide that's impossible and cut themselves off from everybody else
