So, time for an amusing story. So, I have a friend Scarlet, and after talking with her for a long while, she became my girlfriend. I have no idea how this happened.

I've usually maintained that love has no boundaries, and is more a social connection, not so much a physical one. Just as you can have couples who have no social connection but an intense physical one, you can also have couples who have no physical connection, yet an intense social one. FWIW I married my best friend. :)

I'm curious to know the percentage of these chat threads that included a conversation regarding Sleet's gender. We're only three pages in, and we've already had one in this iteration, and I know that we had at least one in thirty-seven.

I hope to someday marry my best friend. I don't currently have one (the idea of a "best friend", to me, implies singularity), so the position's still open. :3

I don't have a best friend right now either. I have a small group of "really good friends". And I feel like it would be a sleight on the others to claim one of them as being more important to me than the others.

As for marriage... I have no clue. I have no intention of getting married anytime soon, so I haven't really thought about specifics too much.

I wouldn't mind, just that it's not even remotely a short and simple story. It's the kinda thing you hear in pieces told while sharing a pint at the local pub, or when winding down for the day by a campfire on a cool autumn night.

Also, I use 'marriage' as shorthand for "the very very close person you promise to be with forever". :)
