Having a "like" button (or a thumbs up-thumbs down button)

Post by RioluNation »

So I've seen a couple of people ask this in the past few comics and the current one: "Why isn't there a 'like' button?" I too think that Rick should add that kind of feature in the comments section of the comic. I say we all have a vote on weather or not this "like (or thumbs up-thumbs down)" button should be added. ;)

rick is already self-conscious enough about his comics as it is

if we add like and dislike buttons and people give one of his Cosmic Nerd strips a bunch of thumbs-down, he'll be curled up in a corner weeping "OH DOG WHAT HAVE I DONE" and shedding all over the place

do you know who has to clean that up

that's right, ebly does

There's not really a pressing reason to include this feature on comments. Moreover, doing so could lead people to create comments asking for likes, as often happens on YouTube videos. The comment section would degenerate into a popularity contest. With no strong benefit and bountiful detriments, I am strongly opposed.

although, adding just a like button for the comic itself wouldn't have the negative effects. no dislikes to make Rick depressed, no likes for the readers to request in the comments. but there aren't all that many benefits either.

A like button for the comic itself is unneeded seeing as Rick already knows how much we adore it. Plus if someone ever said that they didn't like the comic they would dissapear...along with their family...and then the moderators would have to fetch their shovels and it would cause a lot of hassle. Best just stick with the "I WUV YOUR SKILLZ" comments seeing as they guarantee your continuing good health.
