Sucks to be you guys, the furthest class I've ever had is my English class, and that's only like a twenty minute walk.

Yeah, it's why I go to school way early and sleep in my classroom until it's time for class.

Oh sleeping until late can wait until after education.

Three weeks of that and I'm begging to do anything.

Studying is still more boring though.

I lived (and still live) about two and a half miles from the university I attended. The longest walks I ever had between classes were about five to seven minutes.

It takes me ten minutes to get to my class, and that's if traffic is good.

Crossing busy streets on a bike can be a pain.

The engineering building is on the opposite side of campus as my apartment, so I walk 15 minutes to class when I have to go there.

With gas up to four bleeping dollars a gallon, I've decided to start riding my bike to school again. And everywhere else that I can. Basically, I'm going to avoid driving at all costs.

no, you simply are so happy that you can spend money that you don't notice the sorrow spending it causes.

From a financial standpoint, I recommend saving and investing as much as possible when young; it may not be as easy when you're older, depending on career, and developing good habits early can only help! Personally, I pay my bills and buy some groceries and fast food and occasionally allow myself a small expenditure - say, $20 to $30 every couple of weeks. Larger purchases are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

I have never in my life not had any money. That's not to say I've always had money I could afford to spend, but I've always had money, for some definition of "money." Saving is very helpful, and it allows you to have a buffer so that timing isn't an issue with day-to-day purchases. Back when I had a summer job my mom was confused why I was never excited for payday. I explained that I knew the money was coming no matter what, and since I have a buffer, payday isn't "now you have money!" day for me. So it didn't matter. All it really takes to have a buffer is to withhold one or two non-food purchases and then tell yourself you won't spend that money unless you are certain you'll be able to replenish it soon, like with payday.

At least you get a car. When your dad won't let you drive the spider, you're stuck either driving the Toyota Truck... or the Toyota Mini Van...

...
And my dad uses the truck more than the spider :/

I wish I had a truck instead than the car I have right now.

I probably should have said "Never in my life when it was reasonable to have money." When I was a kit I didn't have any, obviously. When I was old enough to have money but not have a job I'd have a little when I would typically not spend all my birthday money or whatever. Then when I got a job I would save most of that.

My only source of income is birthday and Christmas money, with an added few bucks here and there for work around the house ($30 for mowing the lawn until my parents found someone who did a better job for the same price and $10-20 for helping clean the house). I used to spend it all at once, but now I save it unless there's a game or something a really want.
aside from that, my parents are covering all of my College costs (tuition, housing, meal plan) with an extra $300 for various school supplies as needed, which I have yet to spend. So my money is all for me.

It's like my parents are whoever is responsible for designing Xbox achievements.

I was playing Assassin's Creed 2 last weekend and I was literally given an achievement for being born.

I have 11 dollars in my savings account :P

I make roughly 400 a month working part time, since school is all covered by scholarship/loans/mooching off the parents it's all spending money.
Personally I prefer to use my money to do stuff and not just hoard it, but whatever floats your various boats I guess.
