kissing a pet

Post by 0404 »

I kiss my cat a lot, whenever.
But my parent disagree with it.
I know her mouth is full of germs but it's alright for me.
Some of my friends say it's gross and some say it's ok
Do you agree with kissing a pet?

Well, I do think it's a bit dirty because of the germs and all. But I have nothing against people who like to kiss their animals.

On the mouth? That's kinda weird, in my opinion.

Aside from that, as long as you're okay with potentially getting fur and dander in your mouth, I see nothing wrong with it. I don't do it, personally, because my cats shed like crazy, and I'm perfectly content with petting them, lightly bonking them on the nose, and occasionally butting heads with them. x3

Don't kiss your pet on the mouth. It's kind of disgusting, especially if it's as a substitute for a romantic kiss. Let's also keep in mind your pet doesn't really understand kissing so it's taking advantage of it. Besides, if your parents say not to, you should listen to them. That's really all there is to say on this matter, so let's not get this thread creepier than it already is.

Kissing a pet on the for-head and things of the such is fine.

Goin further is kinda odd, at least not normal. I would not say it is a good idea, for health as well as social reasons. Petting a cat can be a good substitute for showing affection, especially under their chin or on their cheeks.
Tis my input.

I know a lot of people who let dogs lick their mouths, which I'm fine with. I think that's my extent though.

There's a difference between "I don't mind if my dog slobbers on me wherever" and "I'm trying to perform romantic gestures on an animal." Really, don't go there, Texascat...

I didn't really assume anything, but that video definitely clears things up a bit. Might've wanted to link to that from the get-go so people didn't jump to false conclusions.

I don't know where the presumption that anything outside good taste or the rating of this forum was going on came from. Let's not ever go down that path again, please. As for the subject of the thread itself, I've kissed a couple of cats between their ears in my younger days.

texascat018, if you'd like me to close the thread, let me know.

I still think that's kind of gross. I mean, do you know where their mouths have been?

If you're just gently kissing your cat like in that video I don't see much wrong in that, I just think it's a bit gross.
