In all honesty I took 3 semesters of both, but chorus was by far the most fun. X3
I wanted to take more art classes, but since it was middle school (and I'm from a small town... okay, honestly guys, if your parents know everybody, as in they all grew up together for 30+ years, you will have connections in the school and you'll always get the courses you want. Since I'm actually a northerner, I always ended up with the crappy courses I didn't want), I got whatever they decided to give me.

...
This is why I prefer being an AP student in high school. You can get away with anything (within certain limits, of course), and they know you're not doing anything too stupid. You have a lot more freedom with academics and overall school experience.

I don't know if it was my school system, but AP courses generally took on anyone who maintained a 90+ average in the previous course, and showed a decent work ethic. This allowed for many people to take many courses to broaden their horizons.

....although I regret not taking more AP History courses. They seemed so interesting.

That's about how it is in my school. Except you need to have been practically constantly making all really good grades in honors classes.

I was assigned random classes. D: I missed two days, and THOSE were the two days to turn in our paper with the classes we wanted. :c

What's worse is that i don't know my student ID, so i can't check to see what classes I was assigned! I'll just have to see in a few days.

ans i also have no school supplies.

THIS FIRST WEEK IS GONNA BE LIKE EATING A SANDWICH THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO EAT AND TASTES LIKE THE FEELING WHEN YOU GET A BUNCH OF SURPRISE CLASSES YOU DON'T LIKE AND DIDN'T ASK FOR AND DON'T HAVE APPROPRIATE SUPPLIES MINUS THE SANDWHICH

... Why can't you go to the school before classes start and change your schedule? Almost all schools have summer hours where you can get your classes fixed.

I have a friend who was moved to our school at the last minute in our freshman year. She ended up being put in French and this second class* instead of History and Science. She managed to get a science class, albeit the lowest level the school offers, but she'll have to cram her history credit in someplace else.

*This second class is sort of a study hall thing; most people who took it called it "The Stupid Class", because they didn't actually teach anything in it but graded assignments rather harshly. I think the point was to get freshman acclimated to High School, but mostly it ended up bringing down a bunch of people's GPA. She could've opted out of it (I did, as did a bunch of my friends), but didn't have time before school started.

Also, when are you starting school? Even if it's, like, this Monday, you have time to run the store for supplies.
Also, yeah, what Beagle said. Or just call them.

I start driving school on Monday. I've already taken the classroom portion, so once I'm done (7 weekdays) if I pass the test, I can get my license. sadly I have to wake up before noon to do this.

I also move into my college dorm in 2 1/2 weeks. not looking forward to classes though.

though they're still classes, so I'm not looking forward to them.

Though they don't let us pick our classes during our first semester. Not that it matters, since I plan to take every class available for my major if possible anyway!

Yeah, you should do that, while everything is still relatively easy to handle.

I didn't know that you can take your courses in advance to free up your time during your final years in my university.
Now my friends don't have any more compulsory courses in their final year, while I will still be busy as ever. (@.@)

It seems that I can do that here too, but they made us a very nice table telling us what to take for each semester, so I think I will just follow it and take all of the class it recommends each semester.

The classes available to me are very limited, at most 8 type of classes for each semester. Even if I take them all, I will still have a lot more free time than I used to have during high school. Though about 25%~50% of them are actually optional classes that has nothing to do with what I am majoring in. (Like character development, Indonesian language, English, music and sports... etc etc.)

Absolutely pathetic. >.>

I would always joke around my friends that Daft Punk covered Kanye West or that Lynyrd Skynyrd covered Kid Rock. It's painful to them. :P It's painful to me too, but it's worth it for the reaction.
